About Social Bar Bistro
Social Bar Bistro is a venue rental option located at Republic Plaza, 9 Raffles Pl, in the heart of the CBD, and is listed on KakiList with a verified contact channel. It holds a 4.5/5 rating across 291 Google reviews — a robust sample that gives meaningful confidence in the guest experience. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range ($$) level on a package basis, though specific package figures are not published and should be confirmed directly with the venue.
Enquiries typically begin with a site recce to assess the space against your event format — whether that is a standing cocktail reception, banquet round-table seating, or theatre-style arrangement. Capacity figures differ significantly between formats, with cocktail standing typically accommodating 1.5–2 times the banquet seated number, so confirm the floor plan and layout flexibility for your specific event. Key terms to clarify upfront include the F&B policy (in-house only, approved external caterers, or BYO with corkage), A/V provision (PA system, projector, screen, microphones, lighting), aircon hours, noise curfew, and whether setup and teardown access falls within or outside the rented window. For events at a CBD address, parking arrangements and accessibility (lift, ramp, accessible toilets) are worth confirming early. If a wedding solemnisation is planned, check whether the venue holds registered ROM solemnisation status.
To get started, reach out to Social Bar Bistro via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form on their listing. Share your event date, estimated guest count, and preferred format to request a package quote and arrange a site visit before paying any deposit.
Do a site recce, confirm capacity for your specific event format (cocktail / banquet / theatre), and put the F&B policy, A/V inclusions, noise curfew, setup/teardown access, and rescheduling terms in writing before paying the deposit.
Attended a corporate event for CNY here. Had a terrible experience as I found what appeared to be a pubic hair in my soup pictures attached). Brought this up with the manager (a friendly lady) who just took it away (politely) and offered to replace the soup. I feel they could have addressed this better and take it more seriously. Aside from this and the aircond being a little weak during lunch time, the food was decent. Service was otherwise alright as the manager was friendly and generally helpful.
Amazing dining experience! I recently celebrated my birthday lunch with colleagues at Social, and it was absolutely lovely! The set lunch was great. I loved every bit of it. Portions were generous, and the ice cream add-on for just $5 was the perfect treat. What’s not to love? The ambience is great, and the place is Muslim-friendly. A Malay staff member kindly confirmed that while the kitchen supplies halal food, the restaurant isn’t halal-certified due to serving alcohol. Nice of her to point that out when she saw our group with a colleague who was wearing the hijab. The service was amazing too! I will definitely be back again and again. Social is now on my list for family dinners next time.
Social Bar & Bistro is a great spot in the CBD for both business lunches and casual gatherings. I’ve been here before for their executive lunch ($24.90++), which includes a drink, appetizer, and main course—great value for a quality meal. Recently, I came with friends and enjoyed their Happy Hour (3-7 PM), which offers 1-for-1 gin and discounts on beer and wine. We ordered a variety of dishes, including Truffle Fries, Fully Loaded Nachos, Spanish Garlic Prawns, Buffalo Wings, Honey Glazed Spring Chicken, Fish & Chips, Meat Lover Pizza, Mixed Bean Salad, and Caesar Salad. My personal favorites were the Fully Loaded Nachos and Fish & Chips, which was served with hake fish and had a perfectly crispy texture. The restaurant has a pleasant ambience, making it a great place to unwind with good food and drinks.
Came twice, once for set lunch and second time for dinner. Loved the baked salmon on the set lunch menu, but felt the seabass with the curried oil was too heavy for me. Both fishes had crispy skin so that was really nice. Sticky date pudding was really good too! Great service, too, as I asked before dinner if they could add a candle to our dessert for a bday celebration, and they remembered to do so. It was a little warm sitting outside, maybe we were in a spot where the fan couldn't reach us.
Deep had serve me on my trip to the outlet , had understand & being very attentive on my needs . Giving us a very good experience upon the visit . A plus point , food from the kitchen Excellent. Should try this Fish & Chips on the menu !!

Social Bar Bistro prices on a package basis, though specific figures are not published and must be confirmed directly. As a general reference, function rooms in Singapore typically run S$100–500 per hour with a 2–4 hour minimum, while mid-sized event spaces and bistro venues often offer per-event packages in the range of S$1,500–8,000+ for a half-day booking. Itemise what each package includes: aircon hours, basic A/V (PA, projector, screen), on-site staff, cleaning fee, and whether setup and teardown access is within the rented window. Common add-ons include an external-caterer corkage fee (typically S$3–8 per pax), liquor corkage for BYO, extended-hours surcharges at 1.5–2× the standard rate, and photography or videography permits. Confirm the maximum capacity for your specific event format — standing cocktail typically fits 1.5–2 times the banquet seated number, with theatre seating sitting between the two. Ask for the floor plan and whether layout configurations can be adjusted for your guest count. For F&B, bistro venues often operate in-house catering with a minimum spend per pax that replaces a hall rental fee, though some permit external caterers with a corkage charge. Confirm whether there is an approved-caterer list, the corkage rate (typically S$3–8/pax for food, S$15–30/bottle for wine), and whether a bar or liquor licence is in place for beverage service. If a wedding solemnisation is part of your plans, confirm whether Social Bar Bistro is a registered ROM solemnisation venue or whether you will need to arrange a Justice of the Peace separately.
Most venues require a deposit of 30–50% on signing to secure the date, with the balance due 1–2 weeks before the event. Popular Saturday evening slots in the CBD book out months ahead, particularly during wedding season in March–April and October–November, so enquire early if your date is time-sensitive. Confirm the noise curfew (typically 10–11pm in venues adjacent to residential areas), parking arrangements at or near Republic Plaza, and accessibility provisions including lifts, ramps, and accessible toilets. Establish what is covered if a force-majeure event requires postponement — reputable venues typically allow rescheduling within 6–12 months without forfeiting the deposit. A site recce before paying any deposit is standard practice. Put the F&B policy, A/V inclusions, noise curfew, setup and teardown access windows, and rescheduling terms in writing before committing.
