A first visit typically begins with an initial consultation and movement assessment, during which the physiotherapist takes a detailed history of the presenting condition — whether that is a sports injury, post-surgical rehabilitation, musculoskeletal pain, or a chronic issue. From there, a treatment plan is discussed, covering frequency of sessions, modalities that may be used (such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, or dry needling), and realistic recovery timelines. Patients should bring any relevant imaging or specialist referral letters to the first appointment. For those with an integrated shield plan or corporate insurance, confirming whether the clinic is on your insurer's panel before booking can help with claims.
To take the next step, contact Synergy Physiotherapy & Sports (Orchard) directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to book an initial consultation and confirm session availability.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
Dr Sai at Synergy has been OUTSTANDING to care for and treat multiple wrist, back, neck and other body pain issues for me, my husband and our son's recent post op rehab after knee surgery. We've been with him for 5+ yrs and enjoy every single visit with his attention to detail, personalized care and engaging conversations. Truly exceptional service and great facilities at both the Orchard and Eastgate clinics.
Saw Sai again after a few years gap to help with a recurring back flare up. He saw me a couple of times and the treatment was truly excellent - back loosened up, pain gone and flexibility significantly improved. I would strongly recommend. He is also a charming and urbane man who is great fun to chat to.
Highly recommend MedX Spine for chronic back pain relief (spinal decompression). Sai is very logical and his approach made the real difference. I am back to normal now following a bad lower back injury I picked up from tennis 🎾 🐻
Well recommend... Unique treatment in Singapore..Mr.Sai is professional and experience Physiotherapist. Clinic has all latest technologies. I went for get treatment for my neck pain. He really understand and explain me the cause and after few visit I able to almost recover
I have been visiting Synergy Physiotherapy. I have been very impressed with professionalism and depth brought by clinic owner Sairam. The clinic is very well equipped. Sairam's knowledge and passion about his craft is extra ordinary. I have visited a few other clinics but i have never received the attention, expert advice and care given by Synergy. Fees is lesser than other clinics. Location is central . So, overall, it makes an extremely value for money place too. I highly recommend the place for anyone looking for rehab. and if you are interested in Cricket and world politics, Sairam has some rich and entertaining views there too ;)

A GP or specialist referral is not required to book a physiotherapy appointment at most private clinics in Singapore — you can self-refer directly. However, bringing a referral letter, imaging results (X-ray, MRI), or discharge notes from a hospital is strongly advisable if your condition is post-surgical, complex, or has been investigated previously, as it helps the physiotherapist assess your case more accurately from the outset. At the first visit, expect to complete an intake form covering medical history, current medications, and your presenting complaint. The physiotherapist will then conduct a physical assessment before any hands-on treatment begins. If you are claiming through certain insurers, a GP referral may be required for reimbursement — check with your insurer before booking.
Physiotherapists practising in Singapore are required to be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) under the Allied Health Professions Act. Registration is verifiable on the AHPC public register at https://www.healthprofessionals.gov.sg. No regulatory licences are currently listed for this provider on KakiList — confirm the consulting physiotherapist's AHPC registration number directly before your first appointment. Synergy Physiotherapy & Sports (Orchard) has not listed ACRA registration on this profile. It is reasonable to ask for the business registration number and to confirm the practitioner's individual AHPC registration when you enquire. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the AHPC public register before treatment.
