It is worth asking whether the clinic operates a recurring-package model or charges per session, and confirming the cancellation policy in advance.

I was having very bad backaches and had visited a few TCM clinics for two weeks with no improvement. A friend then recommended me to come here — and I was fully healed just 2–3 days after! Huge thanks to the whole team, especially Master 钟 and Tuina sensei 丹丹, for their professional treatment and caring advice. Truly grateful! 🙏

I’ve been coming to Taihe TCM Clinic for treatments, and they’ve been operating for 3 years with consistent, thoughtful service. What impresses me the most is their long-term support for Singapore’s senior citizens, offering free or discounted consultations with genuine care and compassion. The TCM doctors are licensed professionals, the clinic is clean and well-maintained, and all fees are clearly listed and explained—absolutely transparent and trustworthy. It’s rare to find such a responsible and caring clinic these days. Taihe is truly worth supporting and recommending!

We visited this clinic based on the 5-star review and we left wondering whether the reviews were authentic. This is the first TCM clinic we went to where the physician was more interested in knowing if we have personal accident insurance coverage than doing a proper diagnosis of the pain. He kept asking if we want to take the chinese medicine which we said to treat the pain first. He went on to ask many irrelevant questions and personal questions not related to the injury. The most absurd was when he started the acupuncture and asked if the pain reduced by half after he inserted the first acupuncture needle. Did he think he inserted a magic needle? Even though the pain was lower back, the acupuncture needles were on the wrist, knees, shoulders and nowhere at the lower back. Only the second younger guy in uniform managed to massage the pain points and relieved the pain somewhat. The shock came at the end when we saw the final bill. Never have we paid so much at a TCM clinic. We do not mind paying if it was good quality treatment. Unfortunately it was a bunch of nonsense talk from the older physician. When we questioned about the bill, the lady said it's transparent. Mind you, the medicine for 1 week cost $84 and they did not even confirm if we want the medicine. The treatment by the younger guy was $118. The acupuncture which was all over the place except the pain point was $60. The older physician was also gossiping about the previous patient's occupation within our earshot, which is so unprofessional. This is our first and last time to the clinic. Visit at your own risk.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Tai He TCM Clinic charge per session?

Tai He TCM Clinic is priced in the mid-range ($$), though specific per-session fees were not published at the time of listing. In Singapore, a standard TCM consultation with acupuncture or tui na typically runs S$40–90 per session at a private clinic; herbal prescriptions are billed separately and vary by formula complexity, commonly S$20–60 per week's supply. Some clinics offer multi-session packages at a modest discount over single-session rates. Confirm the full fee structure — consultation charge, treatment fee, and herbal medicine cost — before your first visit, and ask whether there is a separate first-consultation rate. See the full TCM cost guide for Singapore →

Do I need a referral or assessment first?

No referral is required to visit Tai He TCM Clinic. Most TCM clinics in Singapore accept walk-in or self-referred patients. Your first visit will typically involve a structured intake: the practitioner will ask about your main complaint, medical history, sleep, diet, and stress levels, and will assess your tongue coating and pulse to form a TCM diagnosis. If you have a complex or chronic condition, bringing existing medical reports, blood test results, or specialist letters helps the practitioner contextualise your case. Patients with bleeding disorders, those on anticoagulants, or pregnant women should inform the practitioner before any acupuncture is performed. A GP referral is not medically required but may be helpful if you intend to claim through an insurance policy that requires it.

Is the practitioner at Tai He TCM Clinic licensed?

In Singapore, all practising TCM physicians must be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. Registration is mandatory under the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Act and covers acupuncturists, TCM physicians, and those who prescribe Chinese proprietary medicines. You can verify any practitioner's registration on the TCMPB public register at moh.gov.sg before booking. No licence information was provided in Tai He TCM Clinic's listing at the time of writing. We recommend asking the clinic directly for the consulting physician's TCMPB registration number and confirming it on the public register before your first treatment. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
