When reaching out, it helps to have your dog's size, breed, and temperament in mind, along with any specific behavioural concerns you would like addressed. Vaccination records are typically requested before sessions begin, so have those on hand. It is worth asking whether an initial assessment or trial visit is available so the trainer can gauge your dog's baseline and recommend a suitable programme. Clarify whether sessions are conducted at your home, at the trainer's premises, or at another location, and whether a recurring training schedule or a structured course format suits your needs better.
To get started, reach out to Talk With Dog Singapore via WhatsApp, phone, or the contact form to describe your dog's breed, age, and the behaviours you want to work on, and ask about availability and session structure.
Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
Our puppy training sessions with Amily have been such a positive experience. She always take time to listen to our concerns and offer thoughtful advice that really works for us. She is very patient with Mocha as he can show extremely welcome behavior to visitors and she guide on how to train and manage him better when there are family and friends visiting. You can tell she genuinely care about the well-being of both the puppy and the owner. Thanks to her guidance, our pup is happier and we can better manage our puppy in our daily activities
I had the best time with Amily!
I am very grateful to Amily for helping my dog, Sugar, and me. Before I got to know Amily, I have actually engaged other trainer and I can say that there is really a big difference. First, Amily does not use the “one size fits all” method. Instead, she makes the effort to understand both my personality and Sugar’s temperament and then makes tweaks to the training. Second, Amily adopts a totally positive reinforcement training method (no threats/ punishments involved at all). In this way, Sugar feels encouraged instead of fear. This kind of Personalised and Positive training approach enables both Sugar and me to feel comfortable and encouraged. In addition, Amily is also incredibly Patient. She gives Sugar and me time to understand and be familiar with/ respond to the training cues. Hence, I find the training experience to be totally stress-free 👍
Amily is such a wonderful trainer. She reinforces behaviours rather than punishes - which was something we appreciated. She is able to establish connections with the doggo and that excellent relationship she has with Asahi meant we made progress so quickly. She works with us to establish our priorities, and the training is easy for us to reinforce.
We were recommended this amazing pet trainer by fellow dog-parents in our neighborhood, and we're so glad we decided to book the training! Our puppy had some reactivity issues due to a difficult experience early on, but the training sessions—and especially the care and support in between—made a world of difference. The trainer consistently sent updates, offered on-the-fly advice, and was always there to help when needed. Thanks to the positive-reinforcement techniques, our puppy made remarkable progress in a short time. After all the hard work, our corgi was so relaxed and happy, even enjoying a calming massage from the trainer. We loved every training session and can't recommend them enough!

Most pet training providers in Singapore require dogs to be current on core vaccinations — typically the DHPP combination (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza) and a valid rabies vaccination. For programmes involving contact with other dogs, bordetella (kennel cough) vaccination is also commonly requested. Vaccinations are generally expected to have been administered within the past 12 months, and you will usually be asked to show proof — a vaccination card or a veterinary certificate — before sessions begin. Confirm the exact vaccination requirements directly with Talk With Dog Singapore when enquiring, as policies can differ between providers.
Talk With Dog Singapore is registered with ACRA, Singapore's official business registry, and has been verified by KakiList. No specific AVS (Animal and Veterinary Service) licences are listed on the profile — AVS licensing is a regulatory requirement for boarding and grooming facilities, so if training takes place at a dedicated premises, it is worth confirming the licence status directly with the provider. Regarding insurance, ask specifically whether the trainer carries liability coverage in the event your dog is injured or falls ill during a session. Responsible providers should be able to confirm their protocol for handling such situations. Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
