About The Cabin Singapore
The Cabin Singapore is a counselling provider based in Geylang offering services islandwide. It has been verified by KakiList, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. With only 5 Google reviews at a rating of 3.2 out of 5, the review sample is too small to draw reliable conclusions about service quality, and prospective clients should treat that figure as directional only. Pricing is positioned in the mid-range ($$), though a specific per-session rate has not been disclosed.
Enquiring typically begins with a phone call or the online contact form, where you can outline your presenting concern or goal — whether that is stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief, addiction, or another area — and establish whether the counsellor's specialism is a fit for your situation. It is worth asking about session format (individual, couples, or group), session length, the number of sessions typically recommended for your concern, and whether ongoing packages are available alongside single-session bookings. Clarify the cancellation and rescheduling policy before committing, as counselling providers vary considerably on notice periods and late-cancellation charges.
To take the next step, reach out to The Cabin Singapore by phone or through the enquiry form to ask about current availability, confirm the per-session rate, and discuss whether an initial consultation or assessment session is offered before a longer engagement is agreed.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
This is not a safe place to be. The counsellors are unprofessional and they get emotional towards their patients. I have seen in front of my eyes during circle time, how one guy was attacked by the Counsellor herself, and encouraged others to do the same. Be careful on what you sign when you enrol. Read the fine print coz they can use whatever you share to the therapist, against you. I would expect by paying such a premium, you’ll have better trained people working there. Better be safe and look elsewhere.
Not much of positive outcome that we got from here

The Cabin Singapore displays mid-range ($$) pricing, but a specific per-session rate has not been published. Singapore counselling fees typically range from S$100–250 per 50-minute session at private practices, with psychiatrists and clinical psychologists at the higher end and general counsellors lower. Ask whether a reduced-rate initial consultation is available, and confirm whether packages (for example, a block of six or eight sessions) are offered at a discount compared with single-session bookings. Also clarify what the quoted rate covers — session time only, or intake assessment and any written reports as well — and whether GST applies. Cancellation and no-show charges vary; confirm the notice period required to avoid being billed for a missed session. See the full counselling cost guide for Singapore →
Most private counselling practices in Singapore do not require a GP referral for general counselling, though a referral can be helpful if you intend to claim under an Integrated Shield Plan or company employee-assistance programme — check your insurer's requirements before your first appointment. For complex presentations such as severe depression, trauma, or substance dependency, an initial assessment session is common so the counsellor can confirm the right level of care and refer on to a psychiatrist or clinical psychologist if needed. Contact The Cabin Singapore directly to ask how the first appointment is structured, what information to bring (previous diagnoses, medications, relevant history), and whether there are any contraindications or situations they refer out rather than treat in-house.
Singapore does not yet have a single statutory register for counsellors equivalent to the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), which covers physiotherapists and occupational therapists, or the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) for TCM. Counsellors may hold voluntary accreditation from the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) or the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT); psychologists may be registered with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS). Clinical psychologists accredited under AHPC hold the strongest formal standing. No licences are listed for The Cabin Singapore in the current data. Before booking, ask directly for the named practitioner's qualifications, accreditation body, and registration number, then cross-check on the relevant body's public directory. Confirm professional indemnity insurance is in place.
