I worked with Vincent Tan during my renovation. I appreciated his design ideas, which were practical and well aligned with our space and needs. That was also the main reason we engaged him, as we liked the projects he had previously done. He was easy to speak to and generally responsive, which made discussions and clarifications straightforward. He was also flexible when we needed to adjust certain design details along the way. Despite the challenges during the Covid period, we coordinated as best as we could, and there was mutual understanding on the necessary accommodations. Overall, working with him felt collaborative and comfortable.

Meeting ID Vincent was truly a godsend. We came prepared with a deck outlining our different styles and references, unsure how everything would come together. After patiently listening to us, Vincent asked for just 20 minutes to put together what he envisioned as our dream home. What he presented was spot on. Somehow, he managed to translate everything we wanted into a cohesive design in that very first consultation — something that genuinely amazed us. Despite the challenges brought on by Covid, Vincent was always incredibly patient, flexible, and accommodating. He often went the extra mile, meeting us at odd hours just to walk through changes, and graciously accommodating our last-minute requests without hesitation. What really stood out was how much he genuinely cared about the space and how committed he was to bringing our vision to life. He even threw in a few items at no extra cost simply because he felt they would make the home feel warmer and more complete — a gesture that meant a lot to us. I would definitely engage Vincent again if we ever move. With all the horror stories you hear out there, his vision, dedication, and accommodating personality made our first interior design experience truly special. More than just our interior designer, Vincent has become a friend, and that says a lot about the kind of person he is.

As first-time homeowners, we engaged The Local.INNterior for the design and full renovation of our 5-room resale HDB flat and worked with Javihn. Javihn was patient and attentive in guiding us through the process, especially when we were unsure how to articulate our needs. He has a strong design sense and was always able to offer practical ideas without being pushy, while still respecting our preferences. Communication and project management were smooth throughout. Javihn was responsive, kept us updated on progress, reminded us when decisions were needed, and ensured the renovation stayed on schedule. The project was completed within the agreed timeline. We are very happy with the final outcome and even after a year of living in the home, the design continues to appeal to us. We would recommend Javihn to homeowners looking for creative functional design and clear, reliable communication. One minor area for improvement would be the finishing quality of some works by the contracted vendors, where stronger quality checks could help reduce rectification works.

We had a wonderful experience with The Local INN.terior, and especially our designer Gigi, for our 5-room HDB renovation. From our first meeting, she took the time to understand our lifestyle, preferences and vision, and turned them into a home that feels calm, warm and very “us”. What we really appreciate about Gigi is her creativity and problem-solving ability. She always finds innovative ways to meet our needs, even when something seems undoable. Give her a blank piece of paper and some freedom, and she will surprise you with ideas you never even thought of, yet exactly what you wanted. The space planning and attention to detail are exceptional. Every corner has a purpose, and the wabi-sabi Japandi theme came together beautifully. We constantly get comments that our place looks more like a condo than an HDB. The team was professional, patient and responsive throughout the entire renovation. Communication was clear, timelines were managed well, and any issues were handled quickly and transparently, giving us great peace of mind. We genuinely love coming home every day and are very grateful to Gigi and The Local INN.terior for creating this home for us. Highly recommend them if you’re looking for a creative, reliable and trustworthy interior design firm. It's been 6 months and we still couldn't believe that this beautiful place is where we call home.

I had a mixed but generally okay experience working with YY from Local INN.terior. At the start, YY’s mood board really captured the overall vibe we were going for, and that gave us confidence to move forward. Her design sense and ability to understand the “feel” we wanted was definitely her strong point. However, the renovation process itself was quite challenging. The project took about 4.5 months to complete, which was much longer than expected. Communication and updates were sometimes slow, and this required a lot of patience and flexibility on our end. In addition, while the initial mood board matched our vision well, the final outcome and 3D renders did not always align closely with what was originally presented. That said, if you are someone who values overall vibe and concept more than exact execution, and you’re able to be flexible with timelines and communication, YY may still be a suitable choice. My main takeaway is that it’s important to set very clear expectations about timelines, communication style, and how closely the final result should follow the original designs.
