My Daughter was entering Primary school within a fortnight and she needed her own bed-study room urgently. I had very stringent criteria for her room. It had to be warm with neutral-earth tones free of visual clutter, indoor lighting had to be at least 400 lumens all round for eyesight protection. Due to space constraints, space-management was also top on our list. Anything gaudy or “obiang” was certainly out. It was the end of Dec 2025 and we needed the room ready in Jan 2026. Goodness gracious. Armed with only one-day’s leave and a DIY-sketched out floor plan, I went to MIND Design’s Ubi showroom early in the morning, not knowing if they’d entertain a small project like mine under pressing time constraints. Chief Designer Sam comes in, and grasped my design & functional needs immediately. Everything after that proceeded with precise project management & clockwork precision: design proposal; rapid dismantling and discarding old furniture; redoing the false ceiling, full electrical wiring & trunking; sound-proof double-glazed windows; painting & plastering; floor polishing; furniture etc, etc. Everything was done & completed on time (nothing short of miraculous especially considering that it was also the holiday season) and exactly as planned (the end result is exactly identical to the artist’s impression in the design proposal). My daughter had always yearned for a “hotel room” to call her own — she has it now. Having so many other work commitments to juggle, MIND Design not only read my MIND, they had also given me something prized — peace of MIND! Highly recommended!

Engaged The Mind Design for the renovation. Just wanted to say a big thank you to our ID Jolie for such a smooth renovation experience — honestly ah, I was already mentally prepared for some “renovation horror story”… but you all totally spoil market! Whenever got issue, you all settle fast fast, no need chase, no headache — this one really rare nowadays. Makes the whole process very steady, like can sleep well at night kind 😄 Everything was handled nicely from start to end, and the workmanship plus attention to detail really solid. Best part — end result come out even better than what I imagined. Now the problem is… house too nice already, I don’t feel like going out 🤣 Really appreciate the effort and good work. We engaged Jolie as our interior designer for our renovation and she was the fourth ID we met before making our decision. What stood out immediately was how vastly different and creative her design concepts were compared to the others. Her ideas were refreshing and truly eye-opening. Throughout the renovation journey, Jolie was very responsive, attentive and patient. As our loft design was initially not approved by the authorities, she took the time to explain the design clearly and worked through the issues professionally until the loft was eventually approved. She also shared many good recommendations and was always willing to fine-tune the design based on our feedback. The entire renovation was completed timely and all agreed touch-ups were properly carried out, which gave us great peace of mind that quality was assured always. The end result is extremely satisfying. Our new home now looks astonishing, especially the living room loft design, which truly showcases how beautiful and functional a loft concept can be. My daughter’s customised loft bed, complete with a study table and ample storage space, also turned out wonderfully and she absolutely loves it. Everyone commented on how well the renovation was done so tastefully and thoughtfully. The quality of workmanship is excellent and we are truly happy with the overall experience. A massive thank you to Valerie Low and her team for doing such a great job on our new place. Renovation can be stressful, but Valerie made the whole process surprisingly smooth and really listened to what we wanted. The highlight for us has to be the loft—she designed it perfectly and it’s become our favorite spot in the house. Communication was great throughout, and we were always kept in the loop on the progress. Highly recommend looking for Valerie if you want an ID who is responsible and actually cares!
