We are a collective of amazing people that focuses on creating experiences that makes people's lives simple.
Homeowners contacting The Minimalist Society typically ask about Interior Design. The team positions itself as a working home services outfit rather than a generalist, so you can expect questions about scope, access, and timing before a quote is confirmed.
The Minimalist Society covers all of Singapore, which is useful if you live in a less-central estate or need a provider that can follow a recurring job to different addresses. The business is KakiList-verified, meaning a real person has confirmed the operating details and contact channel. Google reviewers currently give The Minimalist Society a strong average of 4.7/5 across 25 reviews, which is a reasonable signal of consistency for a home services provider.
To move forward with The Minimalist Society, WhatsApp is the most efficient channel: describe the problem, share a photo if applicable, and mention your location. KakiList doesn't charge either party, so the quote you receive is the quote the provider actually offers.
Minimalist Society is helpful + professional + experienced! They listened carefully and suggested designs that try to meet both aesthetic + functionality that fits our requirements. Few renovation best practices I only came to know after I've moved in but TMS already implemented it! 1) Kitchen Sink Mixer tap handle must be facing you instead of by the side to avoid water spillage 2) Not going for L-shape wardrobe 3) Proper alignment to tiles (for shower curb & half-glass plastered wall) Not mentioning they have excellent & responsive post-renovation servicing
We were looking for a simple and cosy vibe for our home, and stumbled upon The Minimalist Society during our findings. We noticed their design is something we are looking out for and after reading their online reviews, we decided to reach out—and honestly, it was such a pleasant experience. Right from the start, Yi Ling, Keith, and Su Chan made everything smooth and stress-free. Once we wrapped up the planning, we felt totally confident leaving the project in their hands. The final result looked exactly like the design drawings—just how we imagined it. Before the renovation starts, the team was patient with all our enquiries and gave helpful advice on materials, measurements, and colours selections. Yi Ling was meticulous with the carpentry measurements, alongside with Keith who had great lighting suggestions, and both Yi Ling and Su Chan also worked closely with us to make sure the 3D drawings matched our style and likings. We really appreciated how dedicated they were and how they kept us promptly updated throughout the whole process. The project finished way ahead of the expected schedule, and the house was handed over clean and fresh, not much unpleasant smells or mess from the renovation. We’re really happy with how everything turned out and would definitely recommend The Minimalist Society. Big thumbs up to the team, thank you all!
We started looking for an ID about a year before our key collection, and after visiting many firms, we decided to go with The Minimalist Society because we felt confident they could deliver the concept we envisioned. And true enough, we’re really happy with the final result! Yi Ling, Keith, and Su Chan were all wonderful to work with. During the space planning phase, they listened closely to our needs and offered thoughtful suggestions to help us make the most of our space. At times, we got carried away with ideas, but unlike some other IDs who might just go along, Yi Ling took the time to ask us whether each addition was truly necessary—something we really appreciated. It helped us stay within budget without compromising on the outcome. We were able to finalise the design and material selections smoothly before renovation began, which made the process efficient and stress-free. Our renovation completed way faster than we expected and really appreciate the team who always update us about the renovation progress. Even the people they work with, like their carpenter and Ah Ong, were experienced and often gave us practical advice during the renovation. The workmanship was good and it was clear they genuinely cared about delivering good results. Even after we have moved in, the team continues to go above and beyond. For instance, when we had a fruit fly issue—which wasn’t related to their workmanship—they still offered helpful suggestions and advice. You can really feel that they care, not just as professionals, but as fellow homeowners who understand the little challenges that come with settling in. Their sincerity and willingness to help truly stood out. No regrets at all engaging The Minimalist Society—we highly recommend them:)
I had already decided to go with the Minimalist Society a couple of years ago after seeing their portfolio and didn't consult with anyone else. They got back to me quickly and provided feasible solutions to concerns I had with the layout of the flexible space. Everything was quickly finalized months before I got my keys allowing works to start the same week that I got the keys to my flat. During renovations I didn't need to drop by as the team provided me with regular updates and consulted me on my preferences. They also offered advice on what items to get that would fit and not cause problems in future. Everything was completed ahead of schedule and the workmanship for all of the built in cabinets was extremely good. I highly recommend them to any homeowner looking for an ID for their home.
Leaving this review here due to the great experience I had with TMS. They really listened to what I needed and made thoughtful suggestions and guided me along the renovation journey. They were very clear on the various milestones and what was required from me and also what to expect at each stage. They made the renovation journey easy to understand and also it was clear to me when we would require things such as toilet fixings or kitchen appliances etc needed to be purchased by. The methodical approach meant that I could concentrate on what's needed at each step. During the first site visit after getting my keys they recommended to have a curve to the cabinets instead of the regular design to reduce instances of bumping into sharp edges in the kitchen. Thus was a very thoughtful suggestion and one I would not have thought of myself and my friends who have seen this loved it! Overall absolutely no regrets going with The Minimalist Society for my renovation and should I ever need another, will not hesitate to work with them again. I really love how the house turned out and loved working with you guys!
