About The Other Clinic
The Other Clinic is a counselling practice located at 35 Lor 23 Geylang, Singapore 388369, serving clients islandwide. It holds a KakiList verification, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. On Google it carries a rating of 4.2 out of 5 across 24 reviews — a moderate sample that provides a reasonable directional signal, though prospective clients should read individual reviews carefully.
Engaging with The Other Clinic typically begins with an initial consultation, during which the practitioner conducts an intake assessment to understand your presenting concern — whether that is anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, workplace stress, or another personal matter. From there, a care approach is agreed, and you can discuss whether single sessions or a recurring package better suits your needs and schedule. It is worth clarifying the cancellation and rescheduling policy upfront, as many counselling practices require 24–48 hours' notice to avoid a late-cancellation charge. The clinic can be reached via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form.
To take the next step, contact The Other Clinic directly through WhatsApp or the enquiry form to describe your concern briefly and request an initial appointment at the Geylang centre.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
Beautiful clinic with excellent therapists! The clinic has two storeys and 17 therapy rooms with a large play area for kids. There’s also a lovely waiting room on the second floor and they have ample toilets too!
Dr Ronina is a deeply caring, insightful and warm professional, and offers a calm and beautiful space in which to seek support. I would not hesitate to refer clients to her.
Kim seemed great initially, coming across as warm and personable. However, as time went on, she was adamant about using an inflexible version of Gottman coaching, which ultimately made my situation worse. It was like she was trying to use a cookie cutter with yogurt.
I couldn’t speak more highly of Dr Ronina. Few therapists have become friends to me, I think this is a testament to the connectedness I feel with her. She’s been a great source of empathy but also tough love when I’ve needed it. Kim Fisel and Vanessa Burton have also been monumental in fostering a lot more empathy, understanding and connection in my marriage using gottman and other methods. One of the best (I have not found better) psych clinics in Singapore.
I work as an educational and child psychologist in Singapore at another practice. I have come to know many of the psychologists, therapists and counsellors at The Other Clinic and such is my high opinion of the practice that I refer my clients to them regularly. They liaise very well with me and demonstrate genuine care, professionalism and expertise in their approach. I have no hesitation in recommending The Other Clinic.

The Other Clinic lists its pricing in the mid-range tier ($$), though a specific per-session figure is not publicly disclosed. For context, counselling sessions in Singapore typically run S$100–220 per 50-minute individual session at private practices, with first-consultation fees sometimes higher to cover the intake assessment. Some practitioners offer sliding-scale rates or package discounts for a block of sessions booked upfront — worth asking about when you enquire. Confirm the exact fee, cancellation policy, and whether GST applies before your first appointment. If you intend to claim through an employer's Employee Assistance Programme or an insurance policy with mental health riders, check reimbursement requirements in advance. No formal referral is required to approach a private counselling practice in Singapore — you can contact The Other Clinic directly to book an initial session. The first appointment typically functions as a mutual assessment: the counsellor gathers background on your presenting concern, personal history, and goals, while you evaluate whether the therapist's style and approach feel like a good fit. If your situation involves a diagnosed psychiatric condition, medication management, or a risk assessment, the counsellor may recommend a concurrent referral to a psychiatrist or your GP. Having a GP referral can also be useful if you plan to claim under MediShield Life or a private health insurance policy with mental health coverage, as some insurers require it. Bring any relevant medical letters or previous assessments to your first session to help the counsellor understand your history efficiently.
Counselling in Singapore is not yet a statutorily regulated profession in the way that physiotherapy or TCM is — there is no single mandatory government licence that all counsellors must hold. Credible practitioners typically hold registration with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) or are accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or American Counseling Association (ACA), and hold a relevant postgraduate qualification (Master of Counselling or equivalent). No specific regulatory licences are listed for The Other Clinic on KakiList at this time. Before booking, ask directly for the counsellor's qualification, professional membership body, registration number, and whether they carry professional indemnity insurance. You can cross-check SAC membership on the SAC public directory at sac.org.sg. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
