Patients typically begin with a first consultation in which the physiotherapist takes a detailed history of the presenting condition — whether that is acute injury, chronic pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, or a musculoskeletal complaint — before conducting a physical assessment. From there, a treatment plan is discussed, covering the likely number of sessions, modalities involved (such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, or dry needling), and whether a recurring package or single-session approach is more appropriate. It is worth clarifying the cancellation policy before booking, as physiotherapy clinics commonly charge for late cancellations.
To book an initial consultation, reach The Pain Relief Practice directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form, and describe your condition briefly so the appropriate therapist or appointment slot can be arranged.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
I went to the The Pain Relief Practice because I injured my leg. Dr Terence was very reassuring. He explained every details of my injury and different treatments available. Immediately, I started physio session with Charlotte. Charlotte is very empathic and friendly. The sessions felt relaxed as she made it me feel comfortable. She is determined that I get better, encouraging me to continue my strength training. This motivates me to want to get better. I recommend that you visit them if you have any injuries!
I had the chance to be placed under the care of Principal Physiotherapist - Stephanie. She is patient, firm and termed as the muscle whisperer! She will work your muscles to great length and be sure to keep up with your physio exercises to help in your own recovery! Love the machine assisted sessions on the muscles and that helps with swelling after surgery. Nice team and pleasant environment to have your sessions in.
I went in with tennis elbow and sore shoulders, The elbow in particular had being bothering me for almost 6 months and various other remedies including acupunture didn't seem to work. So i was referred to this place. I was recommended by Dr Terence to try their radiofrequency treatment. Charlotte was my physiotherapist. A special shoutout for her. She’s genuinely interested in the well being of her care. Empathetic, knowledgeable, and takes the time to listen. She patiently explained what was going on. She did good follow up and gave spot on post treatment advice. The treatment was well targeted and genuinely effective. Pain improved noticeably after a few sessions. I would highly recommend.
Stephanie has been my therapist for at least 2 years. She manages my slipped disc on my neck well and is very flexible with my treatments. Keep up the good job well done! I would highly recommend her for sure!
I went to the The Pain Relief Practice because I injured my back. Dr Terence was great to address the issue immediately and right after that, I started physio with Charlotte. I really enjoyed my sessions with Charlotte. She was empathic yet determined that I get better with each session. I would recommend anyone to visit them if you have any injuries!

Specific session fees were not published at the time of this listing. As a general guide, physiotherapy consultations in Singapore typically run S$80–180 per session at private clinics, with initial assessments often priced higher than follow-up appointments. Package rates for a block of sessions — commonly six to ten — usually offer a modest discount on the per-session rate. Confirm the first-consultation fee, whether it differs from follow-up rates, and whether any materials or consumables (such as taping or heat packs) are billed separately. Ask whether the clinic accepts NTUC Income, Medisave (for approved conditions), or corporate insurance — this can meaningfully reduce out-of-pocket costs. Most physiotherapy clinics, including private practices like The Pain Relief Practice, accept self-referrals — you do not need a GP letter to book. However, bringing a referral or any relevant imaging (X-rays, MRI reports) from your doctor can help the physiotherapist understand your condition more quickly and may be required if you intend to claim through certain corporate insurance plans or Medisave. At the first visit, expect to complete an intake form covering your medical history, current medications, and the nature of your symptoms. The physiotherapist will then conduct a physical assessment before recommending a treatment plan. If your condition involves a recent fracture, post-operative recovery, or a complex neurological presentation, a GP or specialist referral is advisable before attending.
Physiotherapists in Singapore are regulated by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) under the Ministry of Health. Registration is mandatory to practise legally, and the AHPC public register allows anyone to verify a physiotherapist's name and registration status before booking. No regulatory licences were listed for The Pain Relief Practice at the time of this entry. It is recommended that you ask the clinic to confirm the full name and AHPC registration number of the physiotherapist who will be treating you, and cross-check it on the AHPC register at https://www.healthprofessionals.gov.sg before your first appointment. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
