About The Psychiatric and Counselling Clinic

About The Psychiatric and Counselling Clinic

The Psychiatric and Counselling Clinic is a counselling and psychiatric practice located at Thomson V Two in Sin Ming Road, serving clients islandwide. It holds a 4.9/5 rating across 87 Google reviews, a robust sample that points to consistently high client satisfaction. KakiList has confirmed the operating details and contact channel; however, no ACRA registration or regulatory licences have been provided in the listing data.

New clients typically begin with an initial consultation to discuss their presenting concerns — whether that is mood difficulties, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, or a condition requiring psychiatric assessment. The clinic should be able to advise on the format of that first session, any intake forms to complete in advance, and whether a GP referral is recommended (this can assist with insurance claims or Medisave use for certain psychiatric services). From there, the clinician will outline a recommended care plan, which may involve ongoing counselling sessions, psychiatric review, or a combination of both, on a recurring schedule or as needed.

To take the next step, contact The Psychiatric and Counselling Clinic by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing to confirm appointment availability, clarify fees, and ask about the qualifications of the practitioner you will be seeing.

I have a very positive experience with Pooi Mun at The Psychology Clinic. She is professional, thoughtful, and incredibly detailed in her approach. From the very beginning, she created a safe and non-judgmental space where I felt completely at ease. Her calm presence helped me relax and gradually enter a state where I was more open and receptive during sessions. What I appreciate most is her ability to gently and clearly break down my challenges, helping me understand where my problems stem from and how they connect. I am very grateful for her guidance and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a skilled and compassionate psychotherapist.

The therapy sessions I've had with Aloysius have played a major role in my recovery, and I'm truly grateful for his help. I contacted The Psychology Clinic around 6 months ago after spending 3 weeks at the hospital due to stress-related weight loss. I was very anxious, required a feeding tube, and was looking for ways to return to a normal life. I've had 8 sessions with Aloysius so far and the progress from each session has been incredible. Aloysius is a great listener and has helped me navigate the challenging situations I've had to face. Each session was divided into two parts: the first 35-40 minutes focused on discussing my challenges, and the final 20-25 minutes on hypnotherapy. This was my first experience with hypnotherapy, and it worked incredibly well. I felt relaxed after each session, no matter how anxious I was when it started. I feel so much better now than I did 6 months ago. I can enjoy life again, and I recently secured a great job offer. I would recommend The Psychology Clinic to anyone seeking help with anxiety.

Working with June Chan has been an incredibly meaningful and transformative experience. From the very first session, she created a safe, supportive space where I felt heard and understood. She is professional, skilled, and genuinely compassionate, creating a safe and supportive space in every session. Her hypnotherapy is highly effective. I noticed real results after just the 6th session. Beyond that, she has helped me discover answers to questions I had struggled with for a long time, providing clarity and insight I couldn’t achieve on my own. I am deeply grateful for her guidance and care, and I will continue to see her for therapy. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking thoughtful, effective, and compassionate psychological support.

This deserves a 10 start review and here’s for you too that is looking for a place to unload and let those weight of emotions off or wanting to start your journey of recovery. I was having my episodes the entire night and in the early morning of 20/10/25 public holiday where most Centers are close, I was still drowning in my own thoughts, everything was too much for me to keep in together I needed help and I called The psychologist clinic as it was the nearest to my house. The lady on the phone was very very sweet and reassuring, maintaining conversation with me although I was unable to maintain my train of thoughts myself. sorry I forgot your name sweet lady but thank you very much and she introduced me to this gentleman. Mr Andrei. He called me in less then 30mins and was able to accommodate to my needs. what a solid guy and with a very professional unique ways in guiding, exploring, navigating with me from points to points, from thoughts to thoughts, every tangled emotions was untangled, every thought was break down, examine and evolved in many ways I thought was a already a dead end. The first session helps me form a new sense of direction in my life and I have found a new unfamiliar YET belonging path, trail, new route to continue find who i am and continue my exploration in life. With Mr Andrei credible knowledge and communication skills, for the first time with the guidance of him i was able to figure out how to take the first little step forward confidently. He showed me where’s the door of hope can lead me and it was such a life altering experience for me. Right now, I am on my journey to become better , to be gentle on myself and to be able to live life as it is. I came to the clinic with a lonely scream of help and a weight tons of thoughts and emotions but by the end of the session I walk away with mindtools, a refreshing perspective, a clearer understanding of who am I and a relief of heaviness and a readiness to face on reality. Definitely I am going to continue my session and I recommend you should too. Thank you Mr Andrei see ya in the next session.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does The Psychiatric and Counselling Clinic charge per session?

Counselling and psychiatric session fees in Singapore typically range from S$100–200 per session for counsellors and S$150–350 per session for psychiatrists, though rates vary by practitioner seniority, session length, and clinic structure. The Psychiatric and Counselling Clinic uses a '$$' price indicator, suggesting mid-range positioning, but exact fees are not published in the listing — contact them directly to confirm the per-session rate, whether an initial consultation is priced differently, and the cancellation or no-show policy. If you intend to claim under an integrated shield plan or Medisave (for MOH-approved psychiatric conditions), check eligibility with your insurer before the first appointment, as pre-authorisation requirements vary. Do I need a referral or assessment first?

A GP referral is not strictly required to book a private psychiatric or counselling appointment, but it can be helpful in several ways: it provides the clinician with background medical history, may be required by your insurer for reimbursement, and can expedite Medisave use where the presenting condition qualifies under MOH guidelines. At the first visit, expect to complete an intake form covering your medical history, current concerns, and relevant personal background. Some psychiatric assessments involve structured diagnostic tools administered during the session. If you are seeking help for a complex or long-standing condition, bringing any prior medical letters, diagnosis reports, or medication lists will help the clinician form a more accurate picture from the outset.

Is the practitioner at The Psychiatric and Counselling Clinic licensed?

In Singapore, psychiatrists are registered under the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) and must hold a valid practising certificate — verifiable on the SMC public register at smc.gov.sg. Psychologists may be registered with the Singapore Psychological Society or, for those working in regulated settings, listed under the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC). Counsellors are not yet statutorily regulated in Singapore, though credentialled counsellors often hold accreditation from the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) or an internationally recognised body. No regulatory licences are listed for The Psychiatric and Counselling Clinic in the current data. Before your first appointment, ask the clinic for the full name and registration number of the practitioner you will be seeing, then verify their status on the relevant public register. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
