About The Psychological Wellness Centre
The Psychological Wellness Centre is a counselling practice located at Royal Square Medical Suites in Novena, serving clients islandwide. It holds KakiList verification, confirming operating details and contact channels. It carries a rating of 4.1 out of 5 across 19 Google reviews, though this is a small sample and should be treated as directional only.
Clients typically begin with an initial consultation to discuss their presenting concern — whether that is stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, or another psychological issue — and to establish goals for therapy. The practitioner will outline a proposed approach, session frequency, and likely duration. Sessions may be one-to-one or, depending on the presenting need, involve couples or family members. It is worth confirming whether the practice offers a fixed per-session fee or packaged pricing, the cancellation and rescheduling policy, and whether sessions can be partially covered through corporate employee assistance programmes or selected insurance plans.
To make an initial enquiry, contact The Psychological Wellness Centre by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing, and ask about the next available appointment slot and the practitioner's area of specialisation before booking.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
Meeting Dr Lee was the best thing that happened to me in 2024. He has shown me kindness, compassion and empathy throughout my session with him. If you are seeking help with mental issues, do not hesitate to a book an appointment with him. I'm certain that you'll find the help that you need. Counter staff Joanne was warm and kind as well, she will call to confirm your next appointment. The prices of the services offered are very much in line with market prices in the private sector. Definitely would recommend, 10/10. Thanks so much to Dr Lee and the staffs at The Psychological Wellness Centre. Thanks for doing God's work!
Dr Nelson Lee is knowledgeable and easygoing. Clinic is spacious and comfortable. What's most impressive are the attitudes of the receptionists - Millie and Joanne are both absolutely lovely, always friendly and helpful.
Dr Nelson Lee has been very relatable and puts the patient at ease. He is also very experience and able to communicate well with his patient. Joanne at the front counter is also very helpful and empathetic. Makes the patient feel comfortable when you step into the clinic.
Great Doctor and clinic. Even better than the doctors I was seeing back home previously. Dr Lee is intuitive and really gets what you are saying very quickly. Possesses good knowledge and takes time to listen and understand. Happy I decided to see him. Feeling a whole lot better
I would recommend Dr Nelson Lee of The Psychological Wellness Centre, if you are considering seeing a psychiatrist. He is very friendly and takes time to understand your problems. I’ve seen other doctors and feel much more at ease with Dr Lee. He is professional with good medical knowledge and also appears very experienced. He takes the time to explain your condition carefully to you and allows you to clarify your doubts. You feel part of the treatment process and also feel that he respects you as a person and that he is keen to help and get you better. Overall my experience with the clinic has been very positive and my mental health has improved. I would recommend this doctor strongly.

Psychological counselling and therapy sessions in Singapore typically run S$120–250 per 50-minute session at private practice settings, with initial assessments sometimes priced higher. The Psychological Wellness Centre has not publicly listed a specific per-session rate, so it is advisable to confirm this directly when making an enquiry. Ask whether packages of multiple sessions are available at a reduced rate, whether there is a separate first-consultation or assessment fee, and what the cancellation policy is — most practices require 24–48 hours' notice to avoid a late-cancellation charge. Some corporate employee assistance programmes (EAPs) and selected insurance plans cover a portion of counselling fees, so check your coverage before your first appointment. A GP or specialist referral is not strictly required to book a private counselling appointment in Singapore, though a referral letter — particularly from a polyclinic, restructured hospital, or psychiatrist — can be helpful if you intend to claim under an insurance plan or if the presenting issue involves a clinical diagnosis that benefits from a coordinated care approach. At a first visit you will typically complete an intake form covering your presenting concern, relevant personal and medical history, and goals for therapy. The practitioner uses this to assess fit and to propose a treatment approach. If your concern involves medication management or a condition such as moderate-to-severe depression or an anxiety disorder requiring psychiatric input, the counsellor may refer you to a psychiatrist in parallel. Bring any prior assessment reports or discharge summaries if these are relevant to your presenting issue.
In Singapore, counsellors and psychologists are not yet subject to statutory licensing in the same way that physiotherapists or TCM practitioners are. The Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP), administered by the Singapore Psychological Society, and the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) membership are the key voluntary credentialling signals to look for. The Psychological Wellness Centre has not listed specific regulatory licences on its KakiList profile, so it is important to ask the practitioner directly for their professional qualifications, registration body membership, and whether they carry professional indemnity insurance before committing to ongoing sessions. Confirm the named practitioner you will be working with, their degree and any postgraduate training, and their area of clinical focus to ensure a good fit with your presenting concern.
