We’re really grateful to have worked with such a dedicated interior designer Ian Tan for our 5-room HDB renovation. He was thoughtful, patient, and genuinely cared about making our home work well for our family. The carpentry work was excellent, and he helped design a very innovative closet door with fridge-style shelving that we absolutely love. He also helped hack a wall to enlarge the helper’s room, which made the layout much more practical. What we appreciated most was how he guided us beyond the renovation itself — advising us while we shopped for sanitary ware, fans, and lights, and coordinating smoothly with other contractors for appliances and our water filter installation. Almost 5 years ago as newlyweds, me and my wife got Sufen as our ID for our matrimonial home. She designed a beautiful home for us that we still enjoy coming home to. 5 years and 2 kids later, our kids created a hole in one of the drywall. We casually mentioned it to Sufen since my wife kept in ktouch with her through the years. Boy, was she quick to rectify the hole in the wall. As this is my first home, choosing the right interior designer was very important to me. I was deciding between two IDs, and I’m very glad I chose Sufen from Third Paragraph. She is extremely organized and structured. From the beginning, she used Google Calendar to clearly mark all renovation milestones and delivery dates, which made everything easy to track and gave me great peace of mind. During the renovation, she provided regular video updates and kept me informed of the progress, so I always felt reassured. Renovation naturally comes with decision fatigue and occasional hiccups. Whenever I felt overwhelmed, I could trust her judgment to decide on my behalf. If any issues arose, she was quick to propose practical solutions and resolve them efficiently. Adjustments to the quotation were handled promptly, with VO/CN prepared quickly and transparently. Even after handover (it has been two weeks), she remains very responsive. Whenever I message her, she replies and follows up swiftly — the same level of commitment as during the renovation phase. We have recently completed our reno and moved in to our first home. As we had read about many nightmare reno experiences online, we were very picky about choosing our ID. We signed with Sufen after meeting 12 IDs as she managed to tick all our boxes and we could vibe well with her. During our first meeting, we were impressed that Sufen had already prepared a moodboard that aligned with our wabi sabi theme. It showcased her professionalism and dedication to designing our home. Months before key collection, she accompanied us to select tiles together and did multiple revisions of the 3D render. This helped us to visualise how different tiles and laminates would look like in our home, and settling these early helped us to start reno ASAP without delay. Throughout the whole reno process, Sufen was very responsive to our questions and she made the effort to be onsite often, giving us video and photo updates. Of course, there were some hiccups that are bound to happen with every renovation, but we were still happy as Sufen took accountability and she managed these well. As we focused mainly on aesthetics and sometimes neglected the feasibility, we are grateful for Sufen’s advice - she is always able to give suggestions that are practical and not compromising on the aesthetics.
