I first saw Physician Jun over covid years. I liked that I was able to speak English and explain my ailments. Physician Jun is very patient and spends time to understand my health as a whole, not just only focusing on symptoms. I also experience very pleasant acupuncture and cupping treatment. It is a very personal experience here with her, as compared to other production line TCM clinics. My well being has improved since my visits. I am very happy to have found her again at Thomson Chinese Medicine after a few years.
I have been seeing Physician Jun for 7 months now, re menstrual issues. She always feels like a family - someone you could trust, sincerely cares (not only for the issues you are seeing her for, but your whole health in general) and always genuinely trying to help. Alongside the treatment for my menstrual issues, she has also helped alot with my stress level and TMJ problems. Acupuncture sessions were enjoyable with Physician Jun - painless and relaxing. I count myself lucky to have come across some reviews on google before switching over from another clinic, to see Physician Jun - best decision made and i hope this review helps some others like me. Many thanks as always, Physician Jun and Team!
I had developed Bell's Palsy and was under the care of Physician Jun Negoro. She was thoughtful and caring during with all my visits. The condition recovered well with a combination of Chinese meds that helped with my energy levels and accupuncture for nerve care. During one of the visits, I had symptoms for a developing flu. The meds that Physician Jun prescribed worked wonders. The sore throat and cough disappeared after taking one satchet. Costs is higher at Thomson Chinese Medicine Paragon than your average neighbourhood TCM clinic, but it's been effective for me. I would recommend it if you are seeking treatment and care for specific problems.
Horrible waiting times at this clinic. Despite having an appointment , wait times are still long and can reach up till one hour. Patients who are late can just walk in and see the doctor. There is no appointment system. the only way you can make appointment is by calling or messaging the clinic. They will send you a message on the day to remind you of your appointment. But When I made my appointment , the nurse on the phone told me that she keyed in my appointment. However I didn’t receive the sms, when I called to find out it turned out that my appointment wasn’t even keyed in and the slot I wanted was taken up. The physician attending to me is Physican Zhou Jing. I’ve seen other physicians coming to the waiting area to greet the patients when it’s their turn. But for me , physican Zhou just shouts my name from her room. I feel no warmth from her , unlike what I hear from the other patients in the room next door. She asks basic questions and then proceed to make comments when I disagreed with her. She didn’t bother to listen to my explanation and just kept repeating that I did wrong even when I said I don’t know. Her acupuncture skills are also not good . When she did the acupuncture, She was very rough when inserting the needles Confidentiality is also not present at this clinic. I’ve heard the nurses talking about other patients who are late and laughing at them. I’ve also heard physicians themselves talking about the patients as if the rest of us are not present. I can even hear what the patients conditions are from the consultation room and the acupuncture room. Physician Zhou even do consultations with her door open when I was there. All in all, I’m not sure if the experience is worth it considering that prices are also very expensive
Physician Ho (何医师) has been caring for me since 2019 when I was trying to conceive via IVF. He understood our concerns and always offered comfort and patience when we were worried. He took great care of me during my pregnancy. I recalled having sleepless nights from carpel tunnel and with just 2 sessions of acupuncture, it was resolved and managed to rest well during my pregnancy. It's been 6 years and my family, including my 5-year-old continue to visit him on a regular basis despite moving from NUH to Paragon. He is always professional, patient, and understanding. Even my child is very receptive of 何医师 and did not reject the medication prescribed. 何医师 will take time and effort to explain and breakdown the rationale for his proposed treatment regime. Thank you 何医师 for taking care of my family! :)

TCM consultation fees in Singapore typically range from S$30–80 for the initial consultation, with follow-up sessions at S$25–60. Acupuncture and tuina add-ons are usually priced separately at S$30–80 per modality, and herbal prescriptions vary widely by formula and quantity. Some clinics offer multi-session packages at a reduced per-visit rate — ask whether this is available before your first appointment. GST applies to TCM services. Confirm the full fee structure — consultation, treatment modalities, and herbs — in writing or verbally before your session begins, as the final bill can differ meaningfully from the headline consultation rate. No GP referral is required to book a TCM consultation — you can contact the clinic directly by phone or enquiry form. At the first visit, expect a structured intake that includes tongue inspection, pulse diagnosis, and a detailed symptom history. Bring any relevant medical reports, blood test results, or imaging if you have a diagnosed condition, as these help the practitioner contextualise your TCM assessment alongside your Western medical history. If you are currently on prescription medication, inform the practitioner before any herbal formula is dispensed, as certain herbs interact with anticoagulants, immunosuppressants, and thyroid medication. For complex or chronic conditions, a GP referral letter is not mandatory but can be useful if you intend to claim from an insurance policy that requires a medical referral for TCM reimbursement — check your policy terms in advance.
In Singapore, TCM practitioners must be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. Registration is mandatory for anyone practising acupuncture or prescribing Chinese herbal medicine. You can verify any practitioner's registration by name on the TCMPB public register at moh.gov.sg before your appointment. No regulatory licences are currently on file in this KakiList listing for Thomson Chinese Medicine (Tampines). Before booking, ask for the consulting practitioner's full name and TCMPB registration number, and cross-check it on the public register. This takes under two minutes and is the single most important verification step for any TCM consultation. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
