About Tomodachi Employment Pte Ltd
Tomodachi Employment Pte Ltd is a maid agency based in Sembawang, serving households islandwide across Singapore. The listing is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered, and carries a 4.9/5 rating across 42 Google reviews — a moderate sample that suggests consistently positive client experiences. When engaging a maid agency, the typical process begins with discussing whether you need a new-hire helper or a transfer helper — transfer placements are generally faster and less expensive. Key costs to confirm include the placement fee, the helper's monthly salary (typically S$550–800 depending on nationality and experience), and the monthly MOM levy (S$300 standard, or S$60 concessionary for households with a child under 16, an elderly member aged 67 or above, or a person with disability). Clarify what is bundled into the package — mandatory FDW insurance, the Settling-In Programme, medical examination, and Work Permit application — versus what is billed separately. Source-country options, the replacement guarantee window, and the early-termination and repatriation process should all be confirmed in writing before signing.
Reach Tomodachi Employment via WhatsApp, phone, or their enquiry form to request a full breakdown of placement fees, available helper profiles, and the replacement policy before committing.
Verify the EA Licence number on MOM's online EA directory before paying any deposit, and read the agency contract's replacement, refund, and early-termination clauses.
We are very happy to be returning customers of Tomodachi Maid Agency. As a family of 5 with two young children and an infant, having the right helper is extremely important to us, and the team truly delivered once again. Esther and Gabrien were fantastic — professional, attentive, and very understanding of our family’s needs. They took the time to carefully recommend suitable candidates and guided us patiently throughout the entire process. Their responsiveness and dedication gave us great peace of mind. The helper sourced has been a good fit for our household, and the overall experience was smooth and reassuring. We sincerely appreciate the consistent, high-quality service and would highly recommend Tomodachi Maid Agency to families looking for a trustworthy and reliable maid agency in Singapore.
Big thanks to Esther and Gabrien from Tomodachi. They made our first helper experience much easier. Esther was very proactive and always ready to help, even replying to my midnight questions with friendly and detailed messages. Compared to other agencies, she and Gabrien were clearly more attentive and sincere. We are grateful for their effort and support in helping us find someone suitable for our family.
First Review: Unresponsive in follow up after collecting requirements. Disappointed!.. Perhaps they are swarmed, but there is a lack of professionalism. Considering how reality is compared to high expectations, it makes one wonder how many of the 5-star ratings here are real. Added on 29 Dec 2025: Esther, for the record, at no point during the matching process did you indicate that my requirements were unreasonable or unworkable. That position only appeared after my review was posted. The initial requirements were shared as a wish list to support proper matching, with the understanding that terms are often refined through discussion. If certain criteria were unrealistic given market conditions, it would have been reasonable and professional for the agency to raise this during the process and advise on feasible alternatives. When follow-up communication ceased, I reached out specifically to ask whether Sunday off was the main obstacle and offered alternative and made it clear that I was open to negotiation. Despite this, there was no further engagement. Many terms are negotiable, but negotiation requires communication. The lack of guidance, discussion, or response is the core issue highlighted in my review. Put simply, the issue is not that no suitable helper was found. The issue is that the agency did not communicate, advise on what was realistic, or engage in any discussion once difficulties on your matching arose. In fact, until your reply here four days ago, I was still naively thinking that the problem was that you were swarmed with the moving your office.
Esther and Gabrien from Tomodachi employment are both approachable and always willing to assist whenever there are questions. They listen carefully to understand the needs of the family and make thoughtful recommendations for a suitable helper. The helper they recommended was an excellent match, demonstrating both professionalism and care. Their responsiveness and helpfulness make them a valuable resource for finding the right support.
Our trusted agency; Gab and Esther understand our requirements and matched us with a reliable helper. They are very professional, dependable, supportive and also very prompt in answering all our enquiries. Their fees are very reasonable and transparent. Esther helped us to bridge all gaps in communication with the new helper during the first month. Gab is very meticulous with administrative matters. We highly recommend Tomodachi Employment Agency! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Placement fees at maid agencies in Singapore typically run S$1,500–3,500 for a new-hire helper and S$500–1,500 for a transfer helper. On top of the placement fee, you will pay the helper's monthly salary (S$550–800 depending on nationality and experience) and the MOM monthly levy (S$300 standard, or S$60 concessionary if your household includes a child under 16, an elderly member aged 67 or above, or a person with disability). Confirm what is bundled into Tomodachi Employment's package — mandatory FDW insurance (approximately S$300–600 per year), the Settling-In Programme, pre-deployment medical examination, and Work Permit application fees — versus what is charged on top. Every legitimate maid agency in Singapore must hold a MOM Employment Agency (EA) Licence, which is verifiable by name or licence number on MOM's online EA directory. The licence number should appear on the agency's website, contracts, and invoices. No EA Licence is recorded on this KakiList listing, so families should look up Tomodachi Employment directly on the MOM EA directory to confirm current licensed status before paying any deposit. EA Grading runs from A+ to C; agencies rated A+ or A have demonstrated stronger compliance and complaint-handling records. Engaging an unlicensed agent is illegal, provides no recourse if the helper absconds or the agency closes, and can void your FDW insurance.
The standard replacement window at Singapore maid agencies is typically six months from the helper's arrival date. Confirm with Tomodachi Employment how many replacements are included within that window, what circumstances void the guarantee (for example, documented mismatch versus general dissatisfaction), and the cost of any additional replacements beyond what is covered. Also clarify the early-termination process should the placement break down outside the guarantee period — the household is generally responsible for the repatriation flight, cancellation of the Work Permit, and any unused levy refund paperwork. Understanding these terms before signing protects you from unexpected costs later. Verify the EA Licence number on MOM's online EA directory before paying any deposit, and read the agency contract's replacement, refund, and early-termination clauses.
