About Tong Xin Tang TCM (Bukit Timah)
Tong Xin Tang TCM (Bukit Timah) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine practice located at 441 Pasir Ris Drive 6, serving patients islandwide. The clinic is KakiList-verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed. It holds a 4.1 out of 5 rating across 20 Google reviews — a moderate sample size that provides a reasonable directional signal, though prospective patients are encouraged to weigh it alongside a direct consultation.
Patients typically begin with a first consultation, during which the practitioner conducts a TCM diagnostic assessment covering tongue and pulse examination, medical history, and current complaints — whether for pain management, women's health, digestive conditions, stress, or general wellness. From there, a treatment plan is recommended, which may combine acupuncture, tui na, cupping, herbal prescription, or a combination of modalities. Sessions may be recommended as a course rather than a single visit, so it is worth confirming the recommended frequency, per-session cost, and any package pricing before committing. Do raise any contraindications — blood-thinning medications, pregnancy, or skin conditions — at the first consultation.

Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
Whilst doctor was great, they consistently made me wait close to an hour past my scheduled appointment time. I’m confident they are aware that this is a frequent occurrence, please ensure each appointment is slightly longer.
POOR customer service, no discipline at all. Upon my scheduled appointment time, the clinic was not open. Punctuality of the physician is also another area of concern! Attitude of the service staff need improvement too. Impatient and keep talking nonsense with others till forgot to prepare medicines!
Dr. Yang is fantastic and a wonderful doctor who has helped me a lot with my health problems, but the Saturday receptionist / assistant (Chinese lady) makes my weekly visits very unpleasant with her terrible and rude attitude. 欺善怕恶的助理, 令病人感到更加不舒服! I would recommend to come on weekdays - during which there is a nice Aunty who works at the reception. Unfortunately, my schedule doesn’t allow me to go on the weekdays so I will have to continue enduring the bad service on Saturdays. Lol.
Affordable and very knowledgeable TCM doctor. Although waiting time can be long, but she explains to her patients the reasons for illness and how to prevent it. The only TCM doctor that does this. She could easily made more money by just providing medicine without explaining due to her pack schedule. Yet she forgo opportunity costs and prioritises patient's health.
Slow and lousy service. Female Doctor taking own sweet time talking to patient about non related to treatment. My advice is not to go on Saturday evening. To make things worse, already fixed appointment but have to let another patient go first as they are regulars.

No referral is required to book a first consultation at a TCM clinic in Singapore. On arrival, expect an intake process covering your current complaint, medical history, medications, and lifestyle factors, followed by tongue and pulse diagnosis. Some practitioners use a written intake form; others conduct the assessment verbally. For complex or chronic conditions — such as fertility support, post-stroke rehabilitation, or management alongside oncology treatment — a GP referral letter summarising your medical history can be helpful, and some integrated medical insurance plans require a referral for reimbursement. If you have contraindications such as a pacemaker (relevant for acupuncture), are pregnant, or are on anticoagulants, flag these before the session so the practitioner can adjust the treatment plan accordingly.
In Singapore, TCM practitioners who perform acupuncture must be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. Registration can be verified on the TCMPB public register at moh.gov.sg. TCM physicians practising herbal medicine are also required to hold TCMPB registration. No TCMPB licence is currently listed in Tong Xin Tang TCM (Bukit Timah)'s public profile on KakiList — ask the clinic directly to confirm the practising physician's TCMPB registration number before proceeding with treatment.
