We spent 6 amazing years at Twinklekidz Toa Payoh, from my boy’s infancy (Covid year) to K2 graduation year. My hubby & I felt assured that he was in good hands while we were at work. Curriculum & play time are well balanced & meticulously planned. My boy loved the hands-on lessons & excursions to supermarkets, Chinatown & different interesting spots in SG. Every staff member contributed significantly to his development years. Special shoutouts to Auntie Lew & Lim for the nutritious & yummy meals, Auntie Hanna for keeping the centre clean, Teacher Elise, Ly, 孙老师, Tricia, Angela, Felicia (infant till now), Miss Clarissa & Mr Koh for showering KX with so much love & care. Really blessed & thankful.
My daughter joined the school since N1 and struggled to adapt at first, but the teachers demonstrated exceptional patience, support, and understanding, which played a crucial role in helping her settle in. With their consistent support and encouragement, she gradually became more comfortable in the school environment. She now enjoys school that she doesn’t want to go home. She particularly loves the speech and drama classes, which she eagerly looks forward to! Thank you for providing such a warm and supportive environment that makes children feel happy and safe, it really means alot to us as parents :)
Despite being a transferred kid only at end of 2024 at N2, my son didn't take long to feel welcome and blend well with the teachers and kids. After being with the school for coming 1 year, my boy and us are very happy with the school. There are plenty of activities planned by the school whole year round. We are very appreciative of Huang Lao shi who has been my son teacher since he joined. She has always keep us updated of his activities and well being in school. Even non teaching staff like Principal Ms Clarissa and School Admin Teacher Elise are very helpful and well liked by the children. Keep up the good job, Twinklekidz TPY!
Very heartened to see all teachers (regardless if its their student or not) to put in an effort to know each student by name. Even the principal will make an effort to bond and get to know the kids. I think curriculum aside, every parent will want their child to be safe in school and Twinklekidz have given us this safe environment. The teachers helped both kids and parents transition to preschool very well and now my kids love going to school. I appreciate all the teachers and admin staff, even the cleaning aunty who will greet my kids by name in the morning (if we see her), because they allow me to carry on my day with a peace of mind, knowing that my kids are growing well and being nurtured with love everyday!
We are so thankful to have enrolled our kids to Twinklekidz playhouse. The teachers made learning so fun for the kids my k2 kid came home singing songs about rainforests and even body parts like oesophagus. She used to only speak English and barely understood mandarin but came home declaring that she was only speaking mandarin, and her Chinese such as writing, hanyu pinyin, and vocab improved exponentially. As working parents, hearing our kids asking us to pick them after 6pm (Classes ends at 5pm) so that they can have more time to play with friends and teachers really assures us that she is in good hands even when we are working. The primary 1 preparation was also impressive as they set up mock canteen for the kids to experience the process. My kid just saw her primary 1 books and said that she recognised the topics as they were taught by her teachers. They set up structures like primary school such as reciting of national anthem and pledge before school starts and create opportunities for kids to lead the recite them to build their confidence. It helped her feel more confident about entering primary school. They include art, drama and music in their curriculum which are taught by professional teachers in the respective fields (engaged vendors) so I need not send my kids for additional enrichment classes. My kids always look forward to these classes. They also have open classes for parents to experience the drama classes to know what and how it was conducted. School is spacious and clean. In addition to the friendly aunty who helps to clean up, they also used robot cleaners to ensure cleanliness is maintained. We appreciate that the school truly values the kids emotional needs and teachers are age appropriate in attending to them and genuinely care for their needs. They have fostered a positive culture among teachers, staff, principal, director, and kids. We could sense the unity and support between staff and teachers in delivery of each event, outing, and graduation concert. Their teamwork and positive spirit can be felt by our kids and parents. Unlike previous childcare that my child was in which seem to have taken a profit driven route, this school gives us a sense that kids well-being are their priority and they engaged quality teachers to educate the kids. Their concert was also very heartwarming and effortful! The k2 acted in a modernised skit on Alice in wonderland, which became the theme and linked up the dances. My second child enjoys his classes and shared that his friends were welcoming when he joined. He also likes his teachers a lot and came home telling me that he learnt that need to wash hands properly to get rid of germs. My third in IFC also adjusted and settled in well after the first week without much crying. Teachers would engage parents to learn more about each child through phone call before enrolment. Teachers are also prompt in their updates and we appreciate the monthly newsletter with photos + explanation of topics covered. My kids also love the outdoor and sandplay. Their parties are truly fun and my kids made tang yuan and dumplings for winter solstice. This school has been a cozy and fun second home for my kids!

TwinkleKidz is listed at a mid-range ($$) monthly fee. When enquiring, ask for a full written breakdown that includes the monthly programme fee, any one-time registration fee, and the deposit amount — typically equivalent to two months' fees at many playgroup and childcare providers in Singapore. You should also clarify whether uniform costs, insurance, or consumables are charged separately. Childcare and playgroup fees are GST-exempt in Singapore, so no GST should be added to your monthly invoice. Confirm this with the centre at the point of enrolment. Government childcare subsidies in Singapore are administered by ECDA and are available to Singapore citizen children enrolled at ECDA-supported centres. The Basic Subsidy provides up to S$600 per month for infant care and up to S$300 per month for childcare. Working mothers who clock 56 or more hours per month may qualify for an additional Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy. Families with a gross monthly household income below S$12,000 may also be eligible for the Additional Subsidy, which can bring total combined support up to S$710 per month. Permanent resident children are eligible for partial subsidies at lower quantum. Subsidy amounts and eligibility criteria are subject to change — contact ECDA directly or visit the ECDA website for current figures, and confirm with TwinkleKidz whether the centre is registered to administer these subsidies.
Demand for playgroup and childcare places in Singapore can be high, particularly for the January intake period when many new cohorts begin. For popular centres, it is advisable to enquire three to twelve months in advance, with infant care places typically the most competitive. Even if a place is available, centres usually require a registration fee and a deposit to formally secure the spot. Contact TwinkleKidz directly by phone or via the enquiry form to check current availability for your preferred start month. Ask specifically whether there is a waitlist and how long the queue typically runs, so you can plan accordingly.
