For a first visit, you would typically call ahead to describe your presenting condition or goal — whether that is pain management, women's health, stress and fatigue, digestive concerns, or a chronic condition — so the practitioner can prepare for an appropriate consultation. TCM assessments involve tongue and pulse diagnosis before a treatment plan is proposed. Follow-on care may include acupuncture, cupping, tui na, or herbal prescription. Ask whether sessions are charged per visit or whether ongoing packages are available, and confirm the cancellation policy before booking.
To get started, contact Xin Mei TCM Centre by phone to describe your condition and arrange a first appointment at their Ang Mo Kio clinic.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
I went to Xin Mei TCM since 2015, going fortnightly for full body massage. Lanying and Xiao Lin have helped my family and I maintain our health thus far. I first visited because of a swollen hand due to poor circulation. Lanying helped me to ease the swell and I also regain more mobility in my leg as I used to feel pain just bending. This review is long overdue. Today Xiao Lin helped to clear my blocked ears.( see photo attached). I am very grateful to have met them and strongly recommend their services if u have need. No venture no gain!
Visited Xin Mei TCM for my persistent neck and shoulder pains. Physician Fu was very knowledgeable and gave me a thorough lymphatic draining massage that relieved a lot of my neck and shoulder stiffness. She also fixed more than just my neck and shoulder to try and find the root cause of my problems. It was 45 mins after closing time but Physician Fu stayed behind to make sure I was thoroughly treated. Her rates are also very affordable for the high quality service she provided. Would definitely recommend visiting here if you have aches and pains!
Chanced upon this TCM and it was a great first experience. Dr Fu is friendly, patient and meticulous. No rush in her treatment and acupuncture and she took time to explain her diagnosis and treatment. Highly recommended!
The best TCM massage ever! I've been coming here for more than 15 years. So have my family and friends. If you need any TCM treatment, massage, acupuncture etc, this is the place to be!!
Super grateful to have chanced upon Fu yishi over a last minute phone appointment. I was suffering backaches and muscle stiffness in my upper and lower body. It was near closing hour and she stayed for me, treated me only with what's necessary. Bloodletting at the correct spot, my upper back and lower body stiffness was instantly gone. It's hard to find such passionate and genuine physicians anymore. I will be a frequent visitor now. 🙋🏻♀️😄

Xin Mei TCM Centre displays a '$$' price indicator, suggesting mid-range pricing, but specific per-session rates have not been published. Singapore market norms for TCM consultations typically run S$30–60 for an initial assessment, with acupuncture sessions at S$60–120, tui na at S$50–100, and herbal prescriptions billed separately at S$20–80 depending on the formula and quantity. First-time consultations are generally longer and may carry a higher fee. Confirm the full cost — consultation, treatment, and any herbal prescription — before the session begins, and ask whether package rates are available for ongoing treatment. GST applies where applicable. See the full TCM cost guide for Singapore →
No referral is required to attend a TCM clinic in Singapore. On your first visit, expect to complete a health intake form covering your medical history, current medications, and the primary complaint. The practitioner will then carry out a TCM assessment — typically tongue inspection, pulse-taking, and a brief consultation — before recommending a course of treatment. If you have a complex or chronic condition, bringing a summary from your GP or specialist can help the TCM practitioner understand your full picture and avoid contraindications with any existing medications. For insurance reimbursement under an Integrated Shield Plan or employer medical benefits, check whether a GP referral is required by your insurer before attending.
In Singapore, TCM practitioners — including acupuncturists and physicians who prescribe Chinese herbal medicine — must be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. Registration is mandatory and verifiable on the TCMPB public register at moh.gov.sg before you attend. No regulatory licences have been listed for Xin Mei TCM Centre in the information available to KakiList. Before booking, ask for the attending practitioner's full name and TCMPB registration number and cross-check it on the public register. A legitimately registered TCM physician will have no hesitation providing this. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the TCMPB public register before treatment.
