YWCA Fort Canning is very well located in the heart of Singapore. The property is strategically situated near Dhoby Ghaut MRT, one of the main interchange stations, providing easy access to various parts of the city. It is also located directly opposite Fort Canning Park, offering a pleasant green environment and a peaceful atmosphere despite being in a central area. This makes it ideal for guests who enjoy morning walks, jogging, or relaxing in a natural setting. In addition, the hotel is within walking distance to Plaza Singapura, restaurants, cafés, and key attractions. With its excellent location, convenient transport access, and calm surroundings, YWCA Fort Canning is a practical and comfortable choice for both leisure and business travelers.

YWCA provides very good value as a wedding venue. There is ample parking at the basement. This place is slightly off the main shopping belt, so the car traffic is manageable. Attended a wedding dinner and a tea ceremony. The food and sevrice is on par with the more established hotel brands along Orchard Road. Highly recommended. Thumbs up!

I went there for their Teochew Porridge Buffets with my buddies. It is celebrating it's 150 anniversary n has a very well curated exhibition in their lobby. Learned a lot about it's origin n how it becomes what it is today! Many inspirational women made this a reality! The Teochew Porridge Buffets spread is great n I thoroughly enjoyed the many classic traditional dishes n the company!

Breakfast is bad, no fitness, reception is clueless and not helpful. Had “security” take pictures of me and my friends at the pool. When confronting the reception they became defensive and argued that it’s normal for security to take pictures of people at the pool every hour. For the price there are many better places to stay. Would not recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does YWCA Singapore MOW charge?

YWCA Singapore MOW does not publicly list a detailed price schedule, and specific per-meal or monthly figures are not available at this time. Meal delivery services for seniors in Singapore typically range from around S$3–8 per meal depending on the provider, whether the service is subsidised, and the dietary profile required. Contact YWCA Singapore MOW directly by phone or enquiry form to obtain a current price list. If the senior is a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident, it is worth asking whether any means-tested subsidies or AIC-administered funding apply to reduce the cost. Live-in or visit-based — which does YWCA Singapore MOW offer?

YWCA Singapore MOW operates a Meals on Wheels (MOW) service, which is a delivery-based model rather than a live-in or caregiver-visit arrangement. The service focuses specifically on delivering prepared meals to seniors at home, typically on a recurring daily or weekday schedule, rather than providing personal care, companionship, or medical support. Families who need broader care support — such as personal hygiene assistance, medication reminders, or physiotherapy — would need to engage a separate home care provider alongside the meal delivery service. Confirm delivery frequency, window times, and any minimum commitment period when enquiring.

Is the caregiver trained and insured?

YWCA Singapore MOW is a meal delivery service rather than a personal care provider, so the question of caregiver training and clinical insurance is not directly applicable in the traditional sense. The relevant considerations here are food safety standards — confirm whether meals are prepared in a licensed kitchen and whether the service operates under relevant SFA or NEA food hygiene guidelines. No regulatory licences are currently listed for this provider on KakiList. It is advisable to ask YWCA Singapore MOW directly about their food preparation standards, kitchen licensing, and any quality or safety certifications before committing to a regular delivery arrangement.
