Enquiries typically begin with a headcount and event date, followed by confirmation of the buffet format — standard buffet, mini-buffet, bento, or live station — and the dietary mix required. For mixed-faith guest lists, clarify early whether halal certification (MUIS-issued, not merely no-pork-no-lard) is needed, and ask about vegetarian, no-beef, and allergen options. Confirm the minimum pax requirement, whether equipment such as chafing dishes and warmers is included, whether a buffet attendant is provided on-site, and the delivery and setup window for your venue. A menu tasting before signing is worth requesting for larger or more formal events.
Contact 8 Crabs Catering via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form with your event date, venue, headcount, and dietary requirements to receive a per-pax quote and check availability.
Confirm the SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence (and MUIS halal certificate where required), book a tasting before paying the deposit, and put the per-pax rate, minimum headcount, dietary mix, delivery and setup window, and balance schedule in writing.
We ordered their Christmas set for our Christmas eve family gathering and the food was more than enough for 8 pax! The large fried rice was really huge in the portion size and we liked that it was not too salty. The salted egg crab was so good! The gravy was rich, flavourful and paired so well with the fried mantou buns. Really finger-licking good! The crab had a lot of roe too! This is our second time ordering from 8 crabs and we love the food!
Ordered from 8 Crabs Singapore for delivery yesterday evening and was really impressed. The crabs arrived well-packed and still warm, with the sauces properly sealed. There was no spills, no mess, which already set a good first impression. Taste-wise, the crab itself was fresh and meaty, and the sauce was rich. The glass noodles soaked up the sauce beautifully too. Portions were generous, and the quality held up well despite being delivered rather than eaten dine-in. Overall, a very satisfying crab fix at home.
The ordering and delivery process was smooth and hassle-free. The food arrived well-packed, with each dish neatly contained and no spills despite the number of items ordered. The packaging was practical and made it easy to serve and share the food immediately. Delivery was timely, which added to the convenience, especially for a group meal. The variety offered was impressive. From hearty noodle dishes to vegetable sides and seafood options, there was something for everyone. The spread felt well-balanced, catering to different tastes and preferences, making it suitable for both family meals and small gatherings. The quality of the food stood out. The dishes were flavourful, well-seasoned, and still fresh upon arrival. The noodles were not overcooked, the vegetables retained their texture, and the seafood dishes were generous and satisfying. Portions were ample, making the meal good value for money. Chicken curry portion ,sweet and sour pork were very delicious, yu sheng was a generous portion. The cereal prawns were also very delicious. Overall, the combination of a smooth delivery experience, a wide product range, and good food quality made this a satisfying order. I would consider ordering again, especially for occasions that require variety and convenience.
Ordered 8Crabs for my auntie’s birthday recently and she loved it! I’ve ordered from them a few times and they’ve never disappoint. Super fast delivery and excellent service—responses are always prompt via WhatsApp. Must try their Seafood in a Bag, and their honey chicken is soooo good! Really enjoyed the meal. Highly recommended! 👍🏻
Excellent quality of ingredients, sumptuous CNY Reunion dishes. My family loves the food during our CNY reunion dinner this evening. Food arrived at 5.40pm, we chose the 5-6pm slots. Dishes were still warm. Portions were also good for a group of 8 people and still have quite a bit to be re-heat for next day lunch & dinner! Forgotten to take photo of the desserts & Yu Sheng.

Per-pax pricing varies by format. Singapore market norms for buffet catering run S$15–25 per pax for a standard spread with a minimum of roughly 30 pax, S$25–40 per pax for premium buffets, S$18–30 per pax for mini-buffets (minimum typically 8–15 pax), and S$8–18 per pax for bento delivery. Live-station setups generally sit at S$30–60 per pax. Beyond the per-pax rate, confirm whether delivery and setup to your venue is included or billed separately, whether chafing dishes, warmers, and serving equipment are provided, whether a buffet attendant is on-site (typically S$80–150 per attendant), and whether waste collection is covered. GST applies on top of quoted prices. Contact 8 Crabs Catering directly for a current per-pax quote based on your headcount and format. See the full catering cost guide for Singapore →
Before booking, confirm whether 8 Crabs Catering holds a current MUIS halal certificate — the certificate should display a licence number and validity dates. 'No pork no lard' without a MUIS certificate is not the same as certified halal and will not meet the standard for guests who require strict halal compliance. Also confirm availability of vegetarian options (lacto-ovo or vegan), no-beef dishes for Hindu guests, and any gluten-free or nut-free requirements. For events with a mixed dietary guest list, ask specifically about cross-contamination protocols — whether halal and non-halal dishes are handled and served separately. Most caterers at this scale offer a tasting session for orders above a minimum value, which is worth arranging before paying any deposit.
Legitimate caterers operating in Singapore hold an SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence with a hygiene grade — A is highest, then B, C, and D. Regulatory licence details for 8 Crabs Catering were not confirmed at the time of this listing, so request a copy of the SFA licence and hygiene grade directly, and if halal is required, ask for the MUIS certificate as well. Both documents should be available on request before you sign. For food safety at the event itself, hot dishes should be held above 60°C and cold dishes below 5°C, with cooked food served within a roughly 2–3 hour cooked-to-served window per SFA guidelines. Confirm the setup arrival time, buffet replenishment practice, and the policy for safe handling or disposal of leftovers after the event. Confirm the SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence (and MUIS halal certificate where required), book a tasting before paying the deposit, and put the per-pax rate, minimum headcount, dietary mix, delivery and setup window, and balance schedule in writing.
