About ABC Vegetarian Food

About ABC Vegetarian Food

ABC Vegetarian Food is a vegetarian catering provider based at 8A Admiralty St, operating islandwide across Singapore. They are KakiList-verified, though no ACRA registration or regulatory licences have been confirmed at this time. With a Google rating of 4.6 from 10 reviews, early feedback is positive, though the sample size is small and should be treated as directional only. Pricing is positioned in the mid-range tier.

For those planning an event with vegetarian catering needs, the typical journey begins with confirming your pax count and minimum order requirement — standard buffets usually start at 30–50 pax, with mini-buffets available from around 8–15 pax. You would want to clarify the dietary scope (lacto-ovo vegetarian, vegan, Jain, or no-onion-no-garlic options), the buffet format (standard buffet, mini-buffet, or bento delivery), and whether dishes accommodate guests with combined requirements such as vegetarian and halal or vegetarian and gluten-free. It is worth asking about menu variety and rotation, whether a tasting is available before booking, and what equipment is included — chafing dishes, warmers, and serving tongs are sometimes bundled and sometimes billed separately. Confirm setup and teardown windows, whether a buffet attendant is provided on-site, and the food-safety hold time for hot dishes.

To proceed, contact ABC Vegetarian Food via phone or their enquiry form to share your event date, venue, expected headcount, and dietary requirements, and request a written quotation with the per-pax rate, minimum order, delivery and setup terms, and deposit schedule clearly stated.

Ordered a mini buffet for a family dinner on 1 Feb. The ordering and payment process was seamless, and the food arrived on time and warm. We did encounter a missing item, but the PIC was excellent—they responded swiftly and rectified the mistake immediately without excuses. I truly appreciate the great service recovery! The only downside was the delivery driver, who claimed security turned him away (which wasn't true) and made us collect the food from his truck. Despite this hiccup, the food and overall service were good. I would definitely order again!

I order a vegetarian catering for 10pax and was very satisfied with this supplier. Not only did the food presentation is top notch, the foods tasted very good and many commented that the vegetarian dishes looked alot more interesting than the non-vege ones. Customer services was good as well as my order was last minute yet they made exception for me.

Tried their food catering sets today. Food quality was really good and palatable. Interestingly, not thirsty after wiping off every morsel of it as I was expecting most delicious vegetarian food to have a lot of MSG added. Highly recommended to order food from them again!

Customer service does not even worth any star. Ordered buffer for my mum's birthday splash slated for arrival at 12noon. At 1pm, guy called asking if order still on??? Promised to arrive in 15mins but man only arrived at 1.40pm. We even helped to set up tables. When contacted, CS denied they were late for close to 2 hours! Simply unapologetic. To be honest, food is just decent not fantastic. If you are looking for reliable service, better look elsewhere!

Had them catering for my father's wake 10 years ago and the food was amazing. Recently my friend's dad passed and we attended the wake which also had a vegetarian buffet spread. Usually I don't expect too much from "wake food" but when I tasted the food, i couldn't help but kept going back for more even though I already had dinner. Later I realised that it's the same ABC that catered for my father's wake years ago. No wonder the food is so tasty! Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs vegetarian food to impress your guests! Well done ABC Vege!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does ABC Vegetarian Food charge per pax?

ABC Vegetarian Food is priced in the mid-range tier, though a specific per-pax figure has not been publicly listed. As a general reference, standard vegetarian buffets in Singapore run S$15–25 per pax with a minimum of around 30–50 pax, premium spreads S$25–40 per pax, and mini-buffets for smaller groups S$18–30 per pax with a minimum of 8–15 pax. Bento deliveries typically fall in the S$8–18 per pax range. Beyond the per-pax rate, confirm whether delivery and setup fees apply for your venue, whether chafing dishes and warmers are included or billed separately, and whether a buffet attendant is available on-site (typically S$80–150 per attendant). GST and any service charge should also be clarified upfront. Contact ABC Vegetarian Food directly for a written quotation based on your event size and format. What dietary options and halal certification does ABC Vegetarian Food offer?

ABC Vegetarian Food specialises in vegetarian catering, which can accommodate a range of dietary needs — lacto-ovo vegetarian (includes dairy and eggs), vegan (no animal products), and sometimes Jain-style (no root vegetables such as onion and garlic). These options are often suitable for Hindu guests who require no-beef and no-meat dishes. For Muslim guests, it is important to confirm whether ABC Vegetarian Food holds a MUIS halal certificate. A vegetarian menu is not automatically halal-certified — cross-contamination during preparation, alcohol-based ingredients, or shared equipment can affect compliance. "Halal-friendly" without a valid MUIS certificate is not equivalent to certified halal. Confirm the certification status directly and ask to see the certificate number and validity dates before booking for a mixed-faith event. Also ask whether the menu can accommodate combined requirements such as gluten-free or nut-free alongside vegetarian, and whether a tasting session is available before you commit.

Is ABC Vegetarian Food licensed and how is food safety handled?

No regulatory licences have been confirmed for ABC Vegetarian Food in the current listing data. Legitimate catering operations in Singapore hold an SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence with a hygiene grade — A is highest, then B, C, and D. You should ask ABC Vegetarian Food directly for their SFA licence number and hygiene grade before booking. For food safety, cooked hot dishes should be served within a 2–3 hour cooked-to-served window, held above 60°C, and cold items held below 5°C per SFA guidelines. Confirm the setup arrival time, buffet replenishment protocol, and the policy for handling leftovers safely. For events above 20 pax, avoid caterers who cannot produce an SFA licence — any food-safety incident without proper licensing leaves you without recourse. Contact ABC Vegetarian Food directly to verify their licence status before paying any deposit. Listing data is incomplete — confirm details with the provider.
