I completed my 2 years braces journey with Dr Lydia today and it's been the most pleasant delightful journey throughout. From the very initial consultation to the extraction of teeth and the removal of braces, Dr Lydia has always been patient in explaining every step that she does and gentle in her services rendered. This was so helpful when I was feeling nervous e.g. during teeth extraction. I was also concerned about the impact of wearing braces on my slight receding gums, that I might require gum surgery after my braces were removed, but under Dr Lydia's care and expertise, I'm relieved that there was not much recession and I did not require any gum surgery. What is so impressive and rare to come by these days is her consistently high levels of professionalism shown at every single visit. She's also a perfectionist who strives for the best possible outcome which puts me at ease knowing that my teeth is in good hands. I was fully assured that my braces journey would turn out great! All thanks to Dr Lydia, I was able to smile confidently at my wedding once the braces were removed! I put on my braces for approximately 2 years 4 months due to removal of 4 premolar teeth cause of decaying sweet tooth as well as the realignment of the position of the mandibular arch (set of teeth in the lower jaw) and realignment of the angle in the maxillary arch (set of teeth in the upper jaw) Despite my teeth were extremely stubborn and it was difficult to close up the gap entirely and each time after some effort when it finally closed up, but weeks down the road, the gap seems to widen again… however my each follow up appointment with Dr Lydia she always has an effective method to make sure my teeth show sign of improvement (to close and to be fixated on the correct position without running freely around) within the timeline she gave.. and this allows me to remove my braces entirely before going off for my Lunar New Year Celebration.. the best part is I removed it on Friday and by Saturday 2 of my retainer are ready for collection and it fits comfortably! Nothing is pressing against my cheek causing any abrasion.. in fact sometimes I don’t even remember I am on retainer… It doesn’t makes me feel that “I don’t wish to wear it at all” I heard a lot of my friends gave up at the last part of the retainer treatment because of the discomfort fitting.. but at Align Braces there is definitely no such issues at all.. Thanks for the high efficiency! Do look for Dr Lydia if you are looking for a very highly efficient and professional orthodontist! She is highly recommended! No regrets that I walk in here 2 years ago!
