Annabelle Kids is a leading child therapy centre in Singapore offering assessments, psychotherapy, OT, and speech therapy for developmental needs.
Annabelle Kids handles a steady flow of Paediatric requests. That focus shapes how they quote — expect practical questions about the scope of work and the property before any figures are discussed.
Annabelle Kids covers all of Singapore, which is useful if you live in a less-central estate or need a provider that can follow a recurring job to different addresses. The business is KakiList-verified, meaning a real person has confirmed the operating details and contact channel. Google reviewers currently give Annabelle Kids a solid average of 4.4/5 across 11 reviews, which is a reasonable signal of consistency for a healthcare provider.
To move forward with Annabelle Kids, WhatsApp is the most efficient channel: describe the problem, share a photo if applicable, and mention your location. KakiList doesn't charge either party, so the quote you receive is the quote the provider actually offers.
A wonderful experience from booking to waiting and all the way through the therapy session. Bringing kids for therapy is nerve-wrecking because of all the anxieties and worries weighing on our minds. But the moment we stepped into Anabelle Kids, all the anxiety melted away. The space is beautiful. My child was happily entertained by the toys, books and climbing wall. The unblocked views, sunlight, spacious atmosphere and soothing music were all very calming and I didn’t feel hurried or pressured at all. We all left feeling like a weight was lifted off our shoulders.
Very profit-orientered centre where being pricier does not always translate to better service or therapy experience. We followed our son’s OT to Annabelle kids after the closure of the previous therapy centre. Notably, there was a significant price hike compared to what we were charged previously for the same duration. Apparently, the hike was already after ‘discount’ given to my therapist’s previous clients, and the charges now can go up to close to $300 for a 60mins session, which is very pricey even by current market’s standards. It is also not as if the location justifies the high price point, as the centre is housed within a run-down building at a rather inconvenient location, with absolutely nothing to do in the immediate vicinity, and is a complete nightmare to get to if one does not have a car and if it is raining (think precariously steep and slippery slopes). While the reception area is pleasant and spacious, it is infested with insects. The impractically-sized reception area also means that the therapy rooms are very miserably-sized, such that the OT gym is the smallest gym I’ve ever encountered. This also translates to limitations to the type of equipment that is available and the type of exercises that can be conducted. Precious therapy time is also often wasted repurposing the cramped space for different types of exercises. The icing of the cake, however, goes to the aloof and callous receptionist staff. There is a clavinova placed in the waiting area, but apparently because a kid with special needs enjoys playing on it, they decided to disable the instrument so that nobody can ever play on it, which goes against the spirit of inclusivity and totally misses the opportunity to create nurturing teachable moments for the young one. When our therapist recommended us to seek alternative therapy for the time-bring in lieu of our OT session, we requested to cancel our upcoming sessions as soon as we were able to confirm the timing for the other therapy, but was slapped with 50% cancellation charges, even though we tried explaining that we were cancelling in order to start on another therapy asap for the good of the child. One should also note that their cancellation policies are more draconian than most other places, where one could be slapped with exorbitant charges even though notice has been given ahead of 24 hours. Unfortunately, will be pulling my child out of Akids despite the good therapist because children with special needs deserve to be treated with more dignity than this.
This centre takes a multidisciplinary approach, and has psychologists, SLTs and OTs within the centre. This is especially useful for parents and children, as often times, we are running from centre to centre, seeing different professionals at different centres. Saves parents time taken to commute from place to place, and time taken to brief each professional separately otherwise. Oftentimes, the child may benefit from a multidisciplinary approach and the different professionals being on the same team and on same page. From a parent perspective, coming to this centre is a breath of fresh air, as it has a large and spacious waiting area. After being to a number of different centres over the years, it is rare for us to find a large waiting area as mostly it is just a bench or a few chairs elsewhere for parents to loiter around. Here, it is large and spacious, for parents to wait and for the children to roam freely and safely, with many curated toys of therapeutic value, colouring materials for expression, a play tent for them to feel at safe in and even a wide rock climbing wall for children (even comes with full sets of safety gear for the children). This is very rare for us to encounter, perhaps because most centres would prefer to optimise the space by building more therapy rooms and maximise revenue. Hence it is a pleasant surprise to find such a large open area for parents and children to rest and enjoy whilst waiting. There is greenery and plants within the centre which gives me a very calm peaceful vibe. As the centre is on a high floor, when we look out of the window, we see the grounds of the Singapore Polo Club (which is across the road) with its large expanse of greenery and horses exercising there. I have calmed my child who was the midst of an episode, with the views of the Polo Club and the horses there. The centre reception has been kind to our children, and let us enjoy the premises without any hovering or any gentle reminders of any sort. Even when our children are very loud and excitable when they see many nice things to play with... It is a calm, kind and safe space for the children to be in. Our children has benefited tremendously from having OT, and we would highly recommend the OT at this centre, whom we have found to be exceptionally knowledgeable and skillful in his therapy treatment for children with developmental challenges, and whom our children love. We have been through many professionals by this point, and know that we have found the best therapist for our children here.
Sent my child for a session last week and it was a good experience as the center facilities is well-equipped for children and the therapist was friendly and gentle to my child.
Simply wonderful place. People from front desk, Therapists are very approachable and not forgetting the condusive learning and relaxing environment. Thumbs up!
