About Bishan Children Clinic

About Bishan Children Clinic

Bishan Children Clinic is a paediatric practice located at 116 Bishan Street 12, serving families across Singapore. The clinic has been listed on KakiList as verified, and holds a 4.1-out-of-5 rating across 98 Google reviews — a moderate sample that provides a reasonable directional signal on patient experience. No regulatory licences are currently listed in the provider data, and no ACRA registration has been confirmed, so parents are advised to verify credentials directly before booking.

For a first visit, parents typically contact the clinic by phone or through the online enquiry form to describe the presenting concern — whether a routine developmental check, National Childhood Immunisation Programme (NIP) vaccination, or an acute illness — and to confirm appointment availability. Private specialist paediatric consultations in Singapore generally run S$120–250 for an initial visit; alternatively, a polyclinic or GP referral letter will allow access to subsidised outpatient specialist care at a public hospital at S$30–80 for Singapore Citizens, though waiting times for non-urgent appointments typically run four to twelve weeks. Parents with Integrated Shield Plans should check pre-authorisation requirements with their insurer before any planned procedure or investigation. The consulting paediatrician's SMC registration and specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine can be confirmed on the Singapore Medical Council public register at smc.gov.sg.

To take the next step, contact Bishan Children Clinic by phone or via the enquiry form to confirm appointment availability, the consultation fee, and the attending doctor's name so you can verify their SMC registration ahead of the visit.

Dr Oh is spot on with her diagnoses, and always gives us great peace of mind with what next steps and treatment options to take for our kids. She has been our go-to doctor since day 1, and has consistently been reassuring, patient, and encouraging. Her assistants are also friendly and helpful, especially her long-standing assistant, Angeline. We are truly grateful for the care and support Dr Oh and her team have given our family over the years. We highly, highly recommend Dr Oh! 🙂

We’ve been bringing our kids here and have always had a very positive experience. Dr Oh is very good, friendly, and patient. She explains things clearly and gives practical suggestions that are especially helpful for mums managing more than one child. I never feel rushed during the consultation, and she takes the time to address concerns properly. The nurses are also very helpful and warm. Even when the clinic is busy, they remain calm and make sure we understand the medication instructions clearly. I really appreciate that they write down the dosage separately for each child, which makes it much easier for parents to follow at home and reduces the chance of confusion. The overall atmosphere of the clinic is comfortable and reassuring. It can get crowded at times, so it’s best to register early. Overall, it gives parents peace of mind knowing their kids are in good hands. Highly recommended!

Thank you Dr Oh from Kid Clinic Bishan for her detailed explanations and patient guidance. As new parents, we really appreciated the time she took to share clearly and reassure us on how to care for our newborn. Also a big thank you to the nurses who were very friendly, proactive, and helpful throughout our visit. Truly a comforting experience for first-time parents. Edited: nurses not nurse. All are friendly and helpful.

Dr. Oh is an extremely attentive and caring doctor. She has been taking care of my two daughters since birth. She is truly our savior “神医”and the only doctor we completely trust. The nursing team is also very friendly. We are sincerely grateful for the excellent medical services and support they have provided. Highly recommended.

We have been going to Dr Oh at Kids Clinic Bishan for the last 3+ years since having our boy. As first time parents, anxiety sometimes creep in. Fortunately Dr Oh guided us through those moments and in the process grew us into more confident parents and care-givers. Overall, Dr Oh displays expertise, empathy and explains clearly. Also great that she is friendly and we can speak casually with light-hearted humour especially during anxious moments. To add, Ms Angeline from the clinic has also been very helpful and guided us through some A&E/ specialist-related administration during our most recent visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Bishan Children Clinic charge?

Private paediatric consultation fees in Singapore typically run S$120–250 for a first visit and S$80–180 for follow-ups at a private specialist clinic. If you hold a polyclinic or GP referral letter, a subsidised outpatient specialist clinic (SOC) appointment at a public hospital costs S$30–80 for Singapore Citizens, though non-urgent waits are typically four to twelve weeks. On top of the consultation, common additional charges include NIP vaccinations (S$30–80 per dose depending on the vaccine), blood panels (S$60–200), and any imaging or referrals if needed. GST applies on private medical services. For any planned procedure, request a written financial counselling estimate that splits insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and your out-of-pocket portion before proceeding. Contact Bishan Children Clinic directly to confirm the current consultation fee, as pricing can vary by clinic and is not publicly listed in the available data. Is Bishan Children Clinic MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or SMC doctor registration currently appears in the provider data for Bishan Children Clinic. Every legitimate clinic operating in Singapore must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory — and every practising doctor must appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, which also shows specialist accreditation and any disciplinary history. Parents should ask the clinic directly for the MOH licence number and the attending paediatrician's full name, then cross-check both before booking. For a paediatric specialism, SMC specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine is the key credential beyond basic SMC registration. Fellowship with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH or FRCPCH) or the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS) is an additional signal of specialist training. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Bishan Children Clinic?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient stays subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. Confirm pre-authorisation and, where applicable, a Letter of Guarantee from your insurer before any planned procedure to avoid claim disputes after the fact. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient paediatric items under the S$500 general outpatient limit, and under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — which covers a defined list of chronic conditions — up to S$700 per year. The NIP childhood vaccination schedule is subsidised for Singapore Citizens at government-funded immunisation providers; confirm whether Bishan Children Clinic participates in the subsidised NIP programme or bills at private rates. For any planned investigation or procedure, request a financial counselling session at the clinic to receive an itemised pre-treatment estimate. Skipping this step is the most common reason families are surprised by the final bill.
