About Blue House International
Blue House International is a playgroup provider located at 19 Kay Siang Road, Singapore 248935, listed under the childcare category on KakiList. It has been verified by KakiList, confirming that operating details and contact information have been checked by a real person, and it is registered with ACRA. The centre holds a Google rating of 4.3 out of 5, though this is based on 24 reviews and should be treated as directional rather than definitive. Monthly fees are priced in the mid-range bracket ($$).
Families considering Blue House International should begin by enquiring about available slots for their intended start month, as playgroup places can fill quickly. When you make contact — via phone or the online enquiry form — it is worth asking about the daily routine, the infant-to-caregiver ratio, and the settling-in approach used for younger children transitioning away from home. A centre visit is strongly recommended so you can meet the lead teacher, observe the learning environment, and gauge whether the programme suits your child's developmental stage. Singaporean citizen families should also ask about ECDA subsidies, which may offset a portion of the monthly fee.
To take the next step, use the phone or contact form listed on this page to ask about current availability for your child's intended start month and to arrange a centre visit.
Visit the centre in person, meet the lead teacher, and read the parent contract before signing.

Awful first impression of the operator who answered the phone on 28/1/2026. I called to ask about availability and to schedule a viewing. Without allowing me to complete sentences, she kept repeating: "Go to website, go to website". Upon checking their website, the viewing dates were weeks away. I called again to schedule an earlier viewing; she simply said, "That means we are full. Thank you," then hung up the phone. If this is how they treat parents, I can't even begin to imagine how dismissive they are to children.
Our son Luke loved The Children’s Place as it was called then. He was there for 3 years from around 2018. Caring teachers and a good mix of kids from different cultural backgrounds. Wonderful grounds to play in. Definitely recommend.
Bluehouse is a highly regarded school, known for its diverse mix of local and international students, offering a unique and enriching educational experience. What truly sets Bluehouse apart is not only its team of highly professional educators but also the exceptional leadership of the Principal at Kay Siang, Ms Shobah. I’ve had the privilege of personally communicating with her, and what stands out is her hands-on approach. She makes it a point to connect with every child, engaging with them directly and ensuring that each student receives the attention and care they deserve. My daughter truly enjoys her time at school and is always looking forward to it. One of the highlights is the impressive community park, a space that my daughter eagerly anticipates. It’s a rare feature in Singapore, offering a unique environment for the students to learn and play.
Blue House International School is a school I wish I could send my children to forever. During our time in Singapore, they engaged my child, provoked her curiosity, and made her confident in her ability to figure things out and learn on her own terms. The staff is warm and exceptionally adept at guiding kids. The facility is serene and has so many natural elements that keep kids regulated and engaged in the world outside the classroom. The classrooms are inspiring and full of artifacts of the kids learning. The pedagogy is top notch and their communication to parents is consistent and detailed. We had to say goodbye to Blue House when we moved back to the USA, and it is a loss I still feel each and every day. This is a magical place and you will not regret trusting them with your young child.
We love the staff and their teaching philosophy. They believe each child develops at their own pace and they should enjoy being children. All Singapore daycare facilities have English and Chinese teachers plus associated classes, but what makes this place special is the people. All teachers, principal, and manager truly care for the children, you can see it in the children's genuine smiles when you visit the school. The children also come from diverse backgrounds and interact positively with one another. The facility is old due to government restrictions on building renovations, but the large backyard allows children to safely play outside and with nature, which is hard to find in central Singapore. This place is truly a hidden gem amongst the many cookie cutter daycares/preschools in Singapore.

Blue House International is priced in the mid-range bracket ($$) on a monthly recurring basis, though the exact monthly fee is not published on this listing. When enquiring, ask for a clear breakdown that includes any one-time registration fee, the deposit amount (typically equivalent to one to two months of fees), and any additional costs for uniforms or insurance coverage. Childcare fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so the monthly figure quoted should be the amount you pay. It is worth confirming whether the fee changes as your child moves between age groups or programme levels. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →
Singapore citizen children enrolled in licensed childcare centres may be eligible for the Basic Subsidy (up to S$300 per month for childcare, or up to S$600 per month for infant care), as well as the Working Mother's Child Development Subsidy if the mother works at least 56 hours per month. An Additional Subsidy of up to S$710 per month (combined with the Working Mother's Subsidy, subject to household income testing) is also available for eligible families. Permanent resident children may qualify for partial subsidies at lower quantum. Note that subsidy eligibility depends on ECDA licensing status — Blue House International does not currently list an ECDA licence on this directory, so you should confirm directly with the centre and with ECDA whether subsidies are claimable there. Subsidy amounts are reviewed periodically. Visit the ECDA website for the most current figures and eligibility criteria before making your enrolment decision.
Playgroup and childcare places in Singapore can be in high demand, particularly for the January intake, which is the main start of the year for most centres. It is generally advisable to enquire at least three to six months ahead of your intended start date, and even earlier if you are looking at infant care slots. To secure a place, most centres require payment of a registration fee and, in some cases, a deposit. Contact Blue House International directly via phone or the enquiry form on this page to ask about current availability and their specific reservation process. If your preferred start month is not available, ask to be placed on a waitlist and confirm how the centre communicates when a slot opens up.
