About Camberwell Children's Dentistry SG

About Camberwell Children's Dentistry SG

Camberwell Children's Dentistry SG is a paediatric dental practice located at Palais Renaissance on Orchard Road, serving families islandwide. It holds a KakiList verification and carries a Google rating of 4.9 out of 5 across 68 reviews — a moderate sample that points consistently in a positive direction. No ACRA registration or regulatory licences appear on the listing at this time, which limits the ability to confirm MOH Healthcare Services Licence or Singapore Dental Council (SDC) registration from the data available; parents are encouraged to verify both directly before booking.

A first visit to a paediatric dental clinic typically begins with an enquiry by WhatsApp, phone, or the online form to confirm appointment availability and what to bring — previous dental records, any allergy history, and the child's health declaration form. The treating dentist will review the child's dental development against age-appropriate milestones, carry out an examination, and may take X-rays depending on the child's age and presenting concerns. Treatment planning for young patients often accounts for behaviour management techniques such as tell-show-do, nitrous oxide sedation, or referral for general anaesthesia in cases involving extensive work or high anxiety. Fees at private specialist dental clinics are not covered by MediShield Life for routine dental care, though MediSave can be used for approved surgical dental procedures such as impacted wisdom tooth surgery — confirm in advance which treatments are claimable. For planned procedures, request a written cost estimate itemising the consultation fee, any investigations, treatment costs, and the expected out-of-pocket portion.

To take the next step, contact Camberwell Children's Dentistry SG via WhatsApp or phone to book an initial consultation and ask the clinic to confirm the consulting dentist's Singapore Dental Council registration and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before your visit.

As a mother, I was very worried when another dentist told us that my 6 years old daughter had cavities in eight molars and three of them might need to be extracted. When we met Dr Terry, he carefully assessed her condition and confidently told us he could try to save the teeth with root canal treatment instead of removing them. Although the procedure had to be done under general anaesthesia, he and his team were very patient and explained everything clearly. The surgery went smoothly and my daughter recovered very well on the same day. I’m truly grateful to Dr Terry and his team for their professionalism and care.❤️

We highly recommend Dr Terry for his skill and patience, and the clinic's overall kid-friendly environment with professional and communicative staff. My 6 year old - who is normally terrified of dentists - had a supernumery tooth that needed extraction. It was removed efficiently under GA, and he had no pain and a great appetite after. Dr Terry is gifted at working with children. He turned a scary experience into a positive one, and my son continues to look forward to dental visits!

If I could give them 6 stars I would. Everything was perfect. The easiest booking. Such helpful front of staff. The rooms are made for children in mind and as soon as my son walked in his anxiety about seeing the dentist vanished. Dr Elizabeth Tan is so gifted and has such a great way with kids. It was a super experience. For my 6 year old to have an extraction at his first ever dentist visit with zero tears shows you how great the whole team is. Strongly recommend

My child needed surgery for mesiodens, and we are very glad to have found Dr Terry, a pedodontist. From our initial WhatsApp enquiry, the response was fast and efficient. Dr Terry was patient and gentle, and he explained the treatment procedures clearly, which gave us great confidence that our child was in good hands. The procedure was handled smoothly and efficiently, making the experience much less stressful for both our child and us. The clinic is clean, comfortable, and child-friendly. The service, from enquiry to appointment, was prompt and well organised. Overall, it was a truly pleasant experience, and we are very grateful for the genuine care shown by Dr Terry and the Child Smile team. Highly recommended.

On Christmas Day, an unfortunate accident happened to my 8-year-old son when he was hit by a ball, causing his two front teeth to break in half. In a moment of panic, I rushed him to Mount Elizabeth A&E and desperately searched online and exhausted all my contacts trying to find an on-call dentist but Dr Terry Teo from Child Smile was the only dentist who responded and agreed to attend to us. From the very first moment, he reassured me and told me not to worry, that he would see my child immediately. Despite it being Christmas, he directed us to the Child Smile clinic and went the extra mile to call his team back to work within an hour to conduct a thorough check and perform whatever treatment was necessary. Dr Terry’s understanding, patience, and calmness were beyond words. He made my son feel safe and comfortable, explaining everything gently and clearly. What truly amazed me was how my normally anxious 8-year-old calmed down completely under his care and stayed quiet throughout the entire procedure. His passion for dentistry and genuine love for children truly shone through that night. It is really not easy to find a dentist with such dedication, compassion, and professionalism especially during an emergency and on a festive day. We are deeply grateful to Dr Terry Teo and the Child Smile team. Thank you for turning a frightening situation into one filled with reassurance and care. 🙏🏻

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Camberwell Children's Dentistry SG charge?

Paediatric dental fees at private specialist clinics in Singapore typically run S$100–200 for a first consultation including examination and X-rays, S$80–180 for follow-up reviews, S$150–400 for fillings (depending on material and number of surfaces), S$300–800 for stainless steel or zirconia crowns, and S$1,500–4,000+ for cases requiring general anaesthesia. Nitrous oxide sedation is usually billed separately at S$80–200 per session. GST applies on private dental services. Routine dental care is not covered by MediShield Life or Integrated Shield Plans. MediSave can be withdrawn for approved surgical dental procedures — most notably impacted wisdom tooth surgery — under specific withdrawal limits; it does not apply to fillings, crowns, or general examinations. Request a written cost estimate before any planned procedure that itemises each line item and confirms the out-of-pocket portion. See the full paediatric dental cost guide for Singapore →

Is Camberwell Children's Dentistry SG MOH-licensed and how do I verify the dentist?

Every legitimate dental clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory online. Dentists practising in Singapore must be registered with the Singapore Dental Council (SDC); paediatric dental specialists hold an additional specialist accreditation in Paediatric Dentistry, which is listed separately on the SDC specialist register. Search by the dentist's name at the SDC website to confirm registration status, specialist accreditation, and any disciplinary record. No regulatory licences appear in the current listing data for Camberwell Children's Dentistry SG, so parents should request the clinic's MOH licence number and the consulting dentist's SDC registration number directly before booking. Neither the clinic licence nor the dentist's SDC entry alone is sufficient — both should be confirmed. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Dental Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial estimate that itemises all costs and confirms the out-of-pocket portion.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Camberwell Children's Dentistry SG?

Routine paediatric dental care — check-ups, fillings, crowns, fluoride treatment — is not claimable under MediShield Life, Integrated Shield Plans, or standard MediSave withdrawals. MediSave can be used for approved surgical dental procedures such as impacted wisdom tooth surgery under the applicable withdrawal limits; the clinic's front desk can advise whether a specific planned procedure qualifies. Some employer-sponsored and personal dental insurance plans cover a fixed annual benefit for routine and specialist dental care — check your policy schedule for the annual cap, co-payment terms, and whether paediatric specialist consultations are explicitly included. Pre-authorisation from your insurer before a planned procedure prevents claim disputes after the fact. For any treatment involving sedation or general anaesthesia, request a written financial counselling estimate in advance that splits the expected insurance payout, any MediSave-eligible component, and the out-of-pocket amount — do not proceed without this document in hand.
