About Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore Paediatric Neurology Clinic

About Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore Paediatric Neurology Clinic

Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore Paediatric Neurology Clinic is a paediatric neurology service based at the Cerebral Palsy Centre on Pasir Ris Drive 1, serving families islandwide. It holds a 4.4 out of 5 rating across 72 Google reviews — a moderate sample that provides a reasonable directional signal. No regulatory licences are currently listed in this directory entry, and ACRA registration has not been confirmed; parents should verify the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting neurologist's Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration directly before booking.

Families typically access a paediatric neurology clinic through a referral letter from a general practitioner or polyclinic, though direct self-referral to a private specialist is also possible at the standard private consultation rate of S$120–250 for a first visit. Given the clinical setting — cerebral palsy, neurodevelopmental conditions, epilepsy, and related paediatric neurological concerns — the first consultation generally involves a detailed developmental history, neurological examination, and discussion of any prior diagnostic reports from therapists or allied health professionals. Investigations such as EEG, MRI brain, or blood panels may be ordered and are billed separately. For families with Integrated Shield Plans, pre-authorisation should be confirmed with the insurer before the appointment. MediSave 500 withdrawal limits apply to selected outpatient consultations, and the Chronic Disease Management Programme covers some chronic neurological conditions — confirm eligibility with the clinic's billing staff.

To make an appointment, contact the clinic by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing, and bring all prior diagnostic reports, therapy assessments, and vaccination records to the first consultation.

extremely dirty school, rude and untrained staff (esp the teaching aides ;) .. along with other public places I’ve been to (has rats inside and has a very foul and offensive odour in the office buildings). often uses unpaid interns to do their office work.

Good to know there is a special need school for those children under 18 years old to receive their education here. Today 5 October 2024, some of their alumni came too including the one who won Silver Paralympic Jeralyn Tan. The compound is not huge though.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore Paediatric Neurology Clinic charge?

Private paediatric specialist consultations in Singapore typically run S$120–250 for a first visit and S$80–180 for follow-ups at private clinics. If you hold a polyclinic or GP referral letter to a subsidised outpatient clinic (SOC) at a public hospital, the cost for Singapore Citizens can be S$30–80 after subsidy, though non-urgent waits are typically 4–12 weeks. Investigations are billed separately and can add substantially to the visit cost: blood panels S$60–200, EEG S$200–500, MRI brain S$400–1,800 depending on the facility and sedation requirements. Any planned procedure or repeat testing should be accompanied by a written financial counselling estimate from the clinic that breaks down insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before you commit. Is Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore Paediatric Neurology Clinic MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or SMC doctor registration is currently listed in this directory entry for Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore Paediatric Neurology Clinic. Both are mandatory for a legitimate clinic operating under the Healthcare Services Act — the clinic's MOH licence is verifiable on the MOH licensee directory, and every practising doctor must appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm their specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine or Paediatric Neurology and any disciplinary history. Given that no licences are currently recorded here, parents should contact the clinic directly to request the MOH licence number and the consulting neurologist's full name for SMC verification before booking. For a paediatric neurology specialism, a fellowship with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH or FRCPCH) or an Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS) specialist accreditation is the meaningful additional credential beyond basic SMC registration.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore Paediatric Neurology Clinic?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life can cover private specialist consultations, investigations, and day procedures subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. For any planned procedure — such as EEG under sedation or a diagnostic admission — request pre-authorisation and a Letter of Guarantee from your IP insurer before the appointment to avoid claim disputes afterwards. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient consultations under the S$500 annual withdrawal limit for general outpatient claims, or S$700 under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) if the child's condition — such as epilepsy — is a listed CDMP condition. Confirm CDMP eligibility with the clinic's billing staff at the first visit. For any planned investigation or procedure, ask the clinic for a written financial counselling estimate that itemises the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket amount in advance. This step is the most common one families skip and the most common reason for unexpected final bills.
