About Champion Tutor

About "Champion Tutor"

Champion Tutor is a tuition centre operating islandwide from its premises at 22 Sin Ming Lane, Midview City, Singapore. The centre is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered, offering families a degree of confidence in its legitimacy. It carries a Google rating of 4.3 out of 5, though this is based on 18 reviews — a small sample that should be treated as directional rather than conclusive. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range tier ($$), though specific session or monthly fees were not provided at the time of listing.

Families considering Champion Tutor should begin by enquiring about the level and syllabus fit for their child — whether that is PSLE, O-Level, A-Level, IB, or IGCSE — and confirming which subjects are offered. It is worth asking whether tuition is conducted in group format or on a one-to-one basis, as this affects both pace and pricing. Prospective students can typically attend a trial class before committing to a term, which is a useful way to assess teaching style, class size, and whether the level is well-matched. Do also check whether the centre offers in-person sessions at Sin Ming Lane, online options, or both.

To take the next step, reach out to Champion Tutor via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about available slots for your child's level, confirm current fees, and arrange a trial class before signing up for a full term.

I am disgusted by this agency. I provided a single H1 Economics session for a student that was arranged by this agent - Felicia Unfortunately, I was not able to continue teaching. The agent Felicia very rudely and very unprofessionally said which I have on WhatsApp as follows "So you take on this tuition job without considering all these carefully? Do you always just back out of tuition jobs like this?" Very unprofessional. Now, I can tolerate lack of professionalism, but this agency REFUSE TO PAY ME for the service rendered! Her manager Wilson added salt into the wound by informing me that I was not going to get paid. Look guys, service was rendered. It was 80 dollars an hour and the single session was a 2 hour session. If there was cancellation by either party for whatever reason, both the agency and tutor should get 80 dollars each I am being owed 80 dollars. I have given Felicia and her manager Wilson more than 30 days to settle the payment but I have yet to receive any payment. This is despite me providing my contact number so that they can facilitate the pay now transfer. I am exploring lodging a police report over this issue and filing a claim under the small claims tribunal. It is not so much about the money but about the principal. Complete disregard for money that is being owed. Money is owed and the way Wilson handled things, completely outrageous. He still had the cheek to cut off my line before I put it down. Money is being owed to me. Money has not been paid to me. I am disgusted and furious. I noticed that this is not the first negative feedback regarding her as another tutor has given her public feedback on her.

I was a bit appalled with the assigning procedure of a liaison named Felicia. She assigns tutees to their recommended tutors. She messaged me at 10pm in the night mentioning that I have a tutee who chose me. I responded with queries as to how the agency fee works a little while later. She responded at approximately 2am explaining the agency fees. Evidently, as I’m working I was asleep by that time. At 7am she messaged me once again asking if I was going to proceed. I hadn’t seen my messages yet as I was getting ready for work. By 9am, Felicia mentioned that she’ll be cancelling the assigned tutee as I had not responded. I’ve never experienced such harassment from any other tuition agency the way I did with Felicia. Not professional at all, especially when establishing a reputation in education

I like how your tutor is sincere about his work. Unlike most other tutors, he doesn't chase for fees but instead, he appears genuinely concerned about his charge. I like him very much as a tutor and am grateful that we found him at such short notice

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does "Champion Tutor" charge per session?

Champion Tutor has not published its exact fees at the time of this listing, so it is best to contact the centre directly for a current fee schedule. As a reference, tuition centres in Singapore typically charge between S$30 and S$80 per session for group classes, and S$60 to S$150 or more per session for one-to-one tuition, depending on the subject, level, and tutor's experience. Ask whether fees are structured per session, as a monthly package, or on a per-term basis. Enquire about any registration or materials fees, and whether a sibling discount or package discount applies. Trial class fees, if charged separately, should also be confirmed upfront. Can I try a class before committing?

Many tuition centres in Singapore offer a trial class, either free of charge or at a reduced fee, before a student enrols for a full term. It is worth asking Champion Tutor whether this option is available and what, if anything, it costs. A trial class is a practical way to assess several things at once: whether the teaching pace suits your child, whether the class size allows for sufficient attention, and whether the tutor's style — more structured or more interactive — fits how your child learns best. It also gives your child a chance to settle in before any financial commitment is made. If the subject coverage or level does not feel right during the trial, raise this with the centre — they may be able to place the student in a different group or adjust the starting point accordingly.

What are the tutors' credentials at "Champion Tutor"?

Champion Tutor has not published detailed information about its tutors' qualifications at the time of this listing. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask whether tutors hold a degree in the relevant subject, whether any hold a National Institute of Education (NIE) or Ministry of Education (MOE) teaching background, and how many years they have been teaching at this level. Also ask whether the curriculum follows Singapore's MOE syllabus specifically, or whether the centre also covers international syllabuses such as IB, IGCSE, or AP. Syllabus alignment matters considerably, especially as major examinations approach. If this information is not readily provided, treat that as a signal to probe further before committing to a term. Contact Champion Tutor directly via WhatsApp or phone to ask these questions before the trial class.
