Arranging home nursing typically begins with a care assessment to establish the elder's mobility, medical, and personal care requirements. Families should clarify whether clinical nursing tasks (wound care, catheter management, medication administration, post-hospitalisation rehabilitation) or personal care and companionship are the primary need, as this affects which caregiver profile is appropriate. It is also worth confirming the number of hours required per day or week, whether visit-based or live-in support is needed, and who among the family will be the primary decision-maker. A trial period — usually one to two weeks — allows both the caregiver and the family to assess compatibility before committing to a longer arrangement.
To take the next step, contact Cherry Nursing Home Pte Ltd by phone or through the enquiry form on KakiList to discuss the elder's care needs, confirm hourly rates and availability, and arrange an initial assessment visit.
Insist on a trial period and put the care plan, hours, and rate in writing.
Mum truly enjoyed her short-term respite last December—so much that she didn’t want to leave! Kudos to all the care staff at Charis Manor. The constant and cheerful updates were very reassuring. The food was delicious, authentic, and worthy of a masterchef. She also had fun during physiotherapy, thanks to the encouragement from Janice Cheah :) [and Kelvin PT]. The environment was peaceful and calming, and the clinical care team was organized and caring. Some staff are trained by the academy, and it really shows. Apart from a small glitch with clothes tagging, everything else was excellent. I’ve already recommended Charis Manor to a relative who will be taking up short-term respite soon, and I’m considering another temporary respite next year. Thank you, Linus, Kat, Predah, and the team
Charis Manor provides a warm, caring, and well-managed environment for residents. The staff are attentive, patient, and genuinely compassionate, always making an effort to ensure residents feel respected and comfortable. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully organised to support both safety and dignity. It is reassuring to see the level of dedication shown by the team in their daily care and interactions. Overall, Charis Manor is a place where families can feel confident that their loved ones are in good hands.
Surprised that the nursing home is different from the usual ones that I have visited, it feels more like a home. The food served is tasty & nutritious, and is prepared by their in-house cook. There is an outdoor garden for the seniors to enjoy outdoor activities and gardening.
My mum stayed at Charis Manor for only 2 months before she passed away. From my first visit, Ms. Tang Sze Chia, the Nursing Director, made a really positive impression - she was warm, caring and approachable. The home's friendly atmosphere and modest size created a homely environment. Staff members such as Kat, the ever cheerful receptionist, and Linus, the Senior Finance Manager, were both very understanding, and frequently engaged with the residents, talking and listening to them. Charis Manor provided comprehensive care, including weekly visits from a doctor and physiotherapist. There were also free manicure/pedicure and haircut services, as well as a mobile library service. During my mum's stay, the nursing team: the nursing manager, the senior nurses, nurses and healthcare assistants, demonstrated professionalism, compassion, and attentiveness. Her bedsores, initially severe, improved significantly under their care. I would like to especially acknowledge Amalina, who gently encouraged my mum to eat and drink during a period of poor appetite, especially towards the end of her life. The residents and staff ate nourishing meals cooked by Alex, the resident chef. I had the opportunity to try his chicken rice and it was absolutely delicious! The home was extremely accommodating to my family, allowing us to visit at all hours and stay overnight in my mum's final days. We are really grateful for the care and support provided throughout her time at Charis Manor.
Pleasant and warming reception upon entry. Staff are enthusiastic and friendly. Residents are taken care of by attentive caregivers.

Cherry Nursing Home Pte Ltd charges on an hourly basis, though exact rates were not published at the time of listing — contact them directly to confirm current fees. As a general guide, home nursing in Singapore typically runs S$20–50 per hour for personal care visits, with higher rates for trained nurses handling clinical tasks such as wound dressing, catheter management, or post-surgical care. Beyond the hourly rate, confirm whether a minimum number of hours is required per visit, whether there is a public holiday or weekend surcharge, and what the agency fee component is versus the caregiver's direct rate. If a live-in arrangement is under consideration, ask about the full monthly package cost, caregiver insurance, and levy obligations. See the full eldercare cost guide for Singapore →
Cherry Nursing Home Pte Ltd is listed under home nursing, which typically covers visit-based care — a trained nurse or caregiver attending the home for a set number of hours per day or week rather than residing on the premises. This suits elders who are largely independent but require clinical support, medication management, or post-discharge monitoring. Confirm directly whether they also facilitate longer daily engagements or live-in arrangements, and clarify the scope of care offered — clinical nursing tasks, personal care (bathing, mobility assistance), or companionship. Ask about their caregiver replacement policy if the assigned nurse is unavailable, and whether a short trial period can be arranged before committing to a regular schedule.
For home nursing specifically, you should verify that the attending caregiver holds the appropriate nursing qualifications — typically a registered or enrolled nurse certified by the Singapore Nursing Board, or at minimum a formal caregiving certification for personal care roles. For elders with dementia or complex medical needs, ask whether the team has relevant specialist training. Cherry Nursing Home Pte Ltd does not currently list regulatory licences (such as AIC or MOH registration) on its KakiList profile — confirm this directly with the provider, as AIC registration is relevant for home care services in Singapore. Also ask about insurance coverage for both caregiver injury and any incidents occurring in the client's home, and put the care plan, hours, and agreed rate in writing before care begins.
