About Child Smile Dental Clinic
Child Smile Dental Clinic is a paediatric dental practice located at Palais Renaissance (Orchard), serving patients islandwide. KakiList has verified the operating details and contact channels. The clinic holds a 4.9/5 rating across 68 Google reviews, a moderate sample that carries reasonable weight. No regulatory licences are listed in the provider data, which prevents confirmation of the MOH Healthcare Services Licence or the dental surgeons' SMC registration — both are mandatory for any legitimate dental clinic in Singapore and should be verified directly before booking.
Parents seeking paediatric dental care typically begin by contacting the clinic via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to confirm appointment availability and the consulting dentist's paediatric specialisation. Paediatric dentists are SMC-registered dental surgeons who may hold additional fellowship credentials in paediatric dentistry (e.g. Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Dental Surgery — Paediatric Dentistry, or FAMS). At the first consultation, the dentist assesses the child's dental development against age-appropriate milestones, discusses preventive care (fluoride application, fissure sealants, dietary advice), and determines whether any restorative, orthodontic, or behavioural management work is required. Patients with dental anxiety or special needs may require behaviour guidance techniques such as tell-show-do or, in some cases, sedation referral.
Contact Child Smile Dental Clinic via WhatsApp or phone to confirm the consulting dentist's SMC registration, the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence number, and current appointment availability before booking.
Verify the dentist's name on the Singapore Dental Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
As a mother, I was very worried when another dentist told us that my 6 years old daughter had cavities in eight molars and three of them might need to be extracted. When we met Dr Terry, he carefully assessed her condition and confidently told us he could try to save the teeth with root canal treatment instead of removing them. Although the procedure had to be done under general anaesthesia, he and his team were very patient and explained everything clearly. The surgery went smoothly and my daughter recovered very well on the same day. I’m truly grateful to Dr Terry and his team for their professionalism and care.❤️
We highly recommend Dr Terry for his skill and patience, and the clinic's overall kid-friendly environment with professional and communicative staff. My 6 year old - who is normally terrified of dentists - had a supernumery tooth that needed extraction. It was removed efficiently under GA, and he had no pain and a great appetite after. Dr Terry is gifted at working with children. He turned a scary experience into a positive one, and my son continues to look forward to dental visits!
If I could give them 6 stars I would. Everything was perfect. The easiest booking. Such helpful front of staff. The rooms are made for children in mind and as soon as my son walked in his anxiety about seeing the dentist vanished. Dr Elizabeth Tan is so gifted and has such a great way with kids. It was a super experience. For my 6 year old to have an extraction at his first ever dentist visit with zero tears shows you how great the whole team is. Strongly recommend
My child needed surgery for mesiodens, and we are very glad to have found Dr Terry, a pedodontist. From our initial WhatsApp enquiry, the response was fast and efficient. Dr Terry was patient and gentle, and he explained the treatment procedures clearly, which gave us great confidence that our child was in good hands. The procedure was handled smoothly and efficiently, making the experience much less stressful for both our child and us. The clinic is clean, comfortable, and child-friendly. The service, from enquiry to appointment, was prompt and well organised. Overall, it was a truly pleasant experience, and we are very grateful for the genuine care shown by Dr Terry and the Child Smile team. Highly recommended.
On Christmas Day, an unfortunate accident happened to my 8-year-old son when he was hit by a ball, causing his two front teeth to break in half. In a moment of panic, I rushed him to Mount Elizabeth A&E and desperately searched online and exhausted all my contacts trying to find an on-call dentist but Dr Terry Teo from Child Smile was the only dentist who responded and agreed to attend to us. From the very first moment, he reassured me and told me not to worry, that he would see my child immediately. Despite it being Christmas, he directed us to the Child Smile clinic and went the extra mile to call his team back to work within an hour to conduct a thorough check and perform whatever treatment was necessary. Dr Terry’s understanding, patience, and calmness were beyond words. He made my son feel safe and comfortable, explaining everything gently and clearly. What truly amazed me was how my normally anxious 8-year-old calmed down completely under his care and stayed quiet throughout the entire procedure. His passion for dentistry and genuine love for children truly shone through that night. It is really not easy to find a dentist with such dedication, compassion, and professionalism especially during an emergency and on a festive day. We are deeply grateful to Dr Terry Teo and the Child Smile team. Thank you for turning a frightening situation into one filled with reassurance and care. 🙏🏻

Paediatric dental consultation fees at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$80–150 for a first visit, with follow-up reviews at S$60–100. Common add-ons include dental X-rays (S$30–80 per film or S$80–150 for a panoramic OPG), fluoride application (S$30–60), fissure sealants (S$80–150 per tooth), and fillings (S$100–300 per tooth depending on material and complexity). Extractions and more complex restorative procedures carry higher fees. Polyclinic dental services provide a subsidised alternative for Singapore Citizens and PRs, though waiting times are longer. Child Smile Dental Clinic's pricing is listed at the S$$ tier, suggesting mid-range private fees — confirm the exact consultation rate and procedure fees with the clinic before booking, and request a written treatment plan with itemised costs for any work beyond the initial check-up. GST applies on private dental services. See the full paediatric cost guide for Singapore →
Every legitimate dental clinic in Singapore requires an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Every practising dentist must be registered with the Singapore Dental Council (SDC), which publishes a public register at sdc.gov.sg; paediatric dental specialists also hold specialist accreditation under the SDC. The provider data for Child Smile Dental Clinic does not list any regulatory licences, so both the clinic licence and the named dentist's SDC registration should be confirmed directly with the clinic before booking. For paediatric dental specialist procedures, ask specifically whether the consulting dentist holds a paediatric dentistry fellowship or specialist accreditation, as this is distinct from a general dental surgeon who sees children. Confirm both the clinic licence and the individual dentist's registration — neither alone is sufficient. See the full paediatric cost guide for Singapore →
Routine dental consultations, fillings, and polishings are generally not claimable under MediSave. MediSave can be used for approved dental surgical procedures — specifically tooth extractions (including surgical removal of impacted wisdom teeth) and other minor oral surgical procedures listed under the MediSave dental scheme, subject to withdrawal limits. Confirm with the clinic whether any planned procedure qualifies before assuming MediSave coverage. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) vary considerably in their dental coverage — some plans include dental surgery riders; most standard IP plans do not cover routine paediatric dental work. Check your insurer's policy documents or call your insurer directly before the appointment. For any planned procedure, request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before committing. The Medisave 500/700 outpatient limits do not apply to dental procedures unless they fall under the approved surgical list.
