A first visit to a paediatric clinic typically involves presenting the child's medical history, current symptoms, and the Child Health Booklet, which tracks immunisations against the National Childhood Immunisation Programme (NIP) schedule and developmental milestone checks. The consulting doctor will assess the presenting condition, order investigations such as a blood panel, urine dipstick, or throat swab where indicated, and issue a treatment plan, prescription, or referral to a specialist if needed. For ongoing developmental concerns, including speech delay, behavioural issues, or growth monitoring, the clinic may refer to a developmental paediatrician or polyclinic-based developmental service. Consultation fees at private paediatric clinics typically run S$60–120 for a first visit, with investigations and prescriptions billed additionally; a written financial breakdown should be available on request.
To make an appointment, contact Children's Clinic Central Pte Ltd directly by phone or via the enquiry form on KakiList, confirming the child's age, presenting concern, and preferred slot before attending.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Toa payoh outlet is the thus far the most professional amongst the other outlets at least the staff are real and prompt in reply. There are times when its delay but due to the nature of situation and the staff reacted accordingly professionally knows how to deal when situation arises. Very nice experience as a overall compare to other outlets. Dr heng is also experience knows whats to do and gives very clear and precise instructions. She would do more than that and preamp us as parents what to look out for and if need any further attention is required. Dr.heng is very humble and does not claim credit. The credit is given by her actions. The staffs are friendly will do more then needed to explain how to use the medicine and of cos would also share their experiences with us on how to make the child as easy to take medicine as possible.
Dr Heng and her team are very committed medical professionals who attended to my daughter with their heart. For someone who resides in Sengkang, coming down to Toa Payoh to see Dr Heng certainly takes a bit of effort but all is worth as Dr Heng is able to resolve my daughter's coughing issue which lasted for months. Kuddos to the team and thank you for the excellent service rendered.
I laminated these myself but these are time stamps and instructions handwritten by Nurse Cindy who really impressed me with her service and willingness to go the extra mile! She could have just informed me to follow the instructions and ventolin-ed my child 3 times a day instead of writing these. The last time I came, Nurse Mandy also provided a great service and followed up with me with a text message to check how he is doing few days later. I wonder why the low Google reviews… both my children, Luke and Ariel, enjoy going to Dr Heng because of her good and sharp prognosis and how the frontline nurses Cindy and Mandy would always indulge and comfort children with a pack of biscuits! BEST CLINIC EVER. Did I also mentioned they are the only clinic I know that provide suction and nebulising all at a go. Super efficient and I really love going to them!
I was being recommended to Dr Heng by my ex-colleague since her children have been with her since many years. It was the right decision to make the switch even though I have to travel a further distance to her clinic. Prior to this, I have gone to a few PDs near my place but the medicine provided didnt seem to be effective until I met Dr Heng, and also the fees are reasonable because she provides a comprehensive suite of medicine to ensure recovery of the child. My kids have been with Dr Heng since COVID-19 period and she is our preferred/default PD to go to since then. Her diagnosis of my kids' illnesses have been accurate (of which, one was Kawasaki) and was glad that the clinic was able to book a single ward bed on my behalf. Dr Heng is also very patient to address whatever queries I have and our follow-ups (my kid has sinusitis), if any, were scheduled a month later. One thing it really helped for my kids when they were younger was Dr Heng is able to do suction (from a machine) to get out pesky phelgm and mucus. Waiting time in the clinic is decent and sometimes it is understandable that it is longer since the insurance claim system for approval is slow. The receptionists are very friendly and approachable - they still remember me even though I did not visit for quite while.
Overall, I always have positive experience at the clinic. Dr Heng communicate clearly and efficient, and the clinic staffs(Mandy & Cindy) also very friendly and explain the medication in details. Additionally, the clinic environment is very clean. My child feel very comfortable on each visit.

At a private paediatric clinic in Singapore, a standard consultation typically costs S$60–120, with follow-up visits running S$50–90. Common add-ons include vaccinations (S$30–100 depending on the vaccine, above what is covered under the National Childhood Immunisation Programme), blood panels (S$60–200), throat or nasal swabs (S$30–80), urine tests, and prescriptions, all billed separately. For a written financial estimate, request an itemised breakdown at the front desk before the consultation. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient treatments under the S$500 annual withdrawal limit, and the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) may cover certain chronic paediatric conditions. GST applies on private medical services. See the full paediatric cost guide for Singapore →
No regulatory licences are currently listed in the provider data for Children's Clinic Central Pte Ltd. Parents are strongly advised to verify two things independently before booking: first, that the clinic premises hold a valid MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act, which is searchable on the MOH licensee directory; second, that the consulting doctor is on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, confirming active registration and any specialist accreditation in paediatric medicine. ACRA registration has also not been confirmed in the listed data. These are not minor technicalities — both the MOH clinic licence and the named doctor's SMC entry are mandatory for a legitimately operating private medical clinic in Singapore. Confirm both before attending. The clinic carries a 3.8 out of 5 rating across 82 Google reviews, which is a moderate sample but should be read alongside the licensing verification steps above.
MediSave can be used at approved outpatient clinics for selected conditions under the S$500 annual withdrawal limit for general outpatient care, rising to S$700 under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for listed chronic conditions such as asthma, which is one of the more common paediatric chronic diagnoses. Confirm with the clinic whether it is an accredited CDMP provider before assuming MediSave can be applied. If your child is covered under a family Integrated Shield Plan (IP) layered on MediShield Life, check your insurer's terms for outpatient specialist and day-surgery cover — deductible, co-insurance, and rider conditions vary widely between plans. For any planned procedure or investigation with a significant cost, ask for a written financial counselling estimate that splits insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding.
