About Dermatology and Co Paediatric

About Dermatology and Co Paediatric

Dermatology and Co Paediatric is a paediatric dermatology practice located at Gleneagles Medical Centre, offering specialist skin care for children across Singapore. The clinic holds a 4.6-star rating across 84 Google reviews, a moderate sample that provides reasonable directional confidence. No regulatory licences have been confirmed in the listing data at this time, and ACRA registration could not be verified, so parents are advised to confirm the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting doctor's Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration directly before booking.

Parents typically approach a paediatric dermatologist when a child's GP or paediatrician has been unable to resolve a persistent skin condition — eczema, urticaria, molluscum contagiosum, psoriasis, birthmarks, or suspected contact dermatitis are common presenting concerns. A first specialist consultation at a private clinic such as this typically runs S$120–250 for self-paying patients. Investigations such as patch testing, skin swabs, or a biopsy may be arranged at the same visit or a follow-up appointment depending on the presentation. Parents with an Integrated Shield Plan should check whether the consultation qualifies for reimbursement and confirm pre-authorisation requirements with their insurer in advance. MediSave may be available for selected outpatient claims under the Chronic Disease Management Programme where applicable.

To begin, contact Dermatology and Co Paediatric via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to check appointment availability, confirm the consulting doctor's name and credentials, and request a written cost estimate for the first consultation and any anticipated investigations.

I have been seeing Dr Ker for a while now. She's absolutely a fantastic and friendly doctor. The place is well run and her staff are warm and welcoming. While anxiously waiting for my day surgery, they even asked if I needed some music to help relax. It's a highly patient centric clinic and I always enjoy my visit and catching up with people here. Wishing her team a great new year ahead! Special thanks to this excellent team

Dr Tan and the whole staff were great. Very attentive, asked thorough questions, were sensitive to my needs and acted quickly to help get something in stock for me. Great care.

Overall experience is quite average. Dr Tan has been great and helped me a lot with my pregnancy acne but the receptionists can be better. Not the greatest experience dealing with them tbh. The clinic is also extremely busy so you’d have to be very flexible with your time and book an appointment well in advance.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Dermatology and Co Paediatric charge?

For a private specialist paediatric dermatology consultation, expect to pay S$120–250 for a first visit and S$80–180 for follow-ups as a self-paying patient at a private clinic such as this. If your child was referred via a polyclinic or GP letter to a public hospital specialist outpatient clinic, subsidised fees for Singapore Citizens run S$30–80, though non-urgent wait times of 4–12 weeks are common through that route. Investigations are billed on top of the consultation fee — a skin swab or allergy patch test typically adds S$60–200, and any minor procedure such as a biopsy or cryotherapy will carry a separate charge. GST applies on private medical services. For any planned procedure, request a written financial counselling estimate that separates insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket costs before proceeding. Is Dermatology and Co Paediatric MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No regulatory licences have been confirmed in the current listing data for Dermatology and Co Paediatric. Before booking, you should independently verify two things: first, that the clinic premises hold a valid MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — searchable on the MOH licensee directory; second, that the consulting doctor is on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, which will show their registration status, specialist accreditation (in this case, Dermatology or Paediatric Medicine), and any disciplinary history. For a paediatric dermatology practice, the ideal credential beyond basic SMC registration is a specialist accreditation in Dermatology with paediatric sub-speciality training, or dual accreditation in Paediatric Medicine and Dermatology. A fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP or FRCP) or the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS) in Dermatology is the meaningful additional signal. Confirm both the clinic licence and the named doctor's SMC entry before your child's first appointment.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Dermatology and Co Paediatric?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life may cover private specialist consultations and day procedures for your child, subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. Confirm pre-authorisation and, where a procedure is planned, a Letter of Guarantee from your insurer before the appointment to avoid claim disputes afterwards. Note that children must be covered under their own or a parent's IP for the coverage to apply. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient claims under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — relevant if a chronic skin condition such as severe eczema or psoriasis falls within the listed CDMP conditions — with outpatient withdrawal limits of S$500–700 per year. For any planned procedure, request a financial counselling session at the clinic so you receive an itemised pre-treatment estimate in writing. Skipping this step is the most common reason families are surprised by their final bill.
