About Dermatology & Co

About Dermatology & Co

Dermatology & Co is a private dermatology practice based at Gleneagles Medical Centre on Napier Road, serving patients islandwide. It has been verified by KakiList, and holds a 4.6-star rating across 84 Google reviews — a moderate sample that provides a reasonable directional signal. No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or Singapore Medical Council registration has been provided to KakiList at this time, so parents and patients should confirm these details directly with the clinic before booking.

For families seeking paediatric dermatology care, the typical pathway begins with a first specialist consultation to assess the presenting skin condition — commonly eczema, urticaria, molluscum contagiosum, birthmarks, or contact dermatitis in children. Parents should bring any GP or polyclinic referral letter if they wish to explore Integrated Shield Plan coverage, as pre-authorisation requirements vary by insurer. The clinic is reachable via WhatsApp, phone, or an online enquiry form. At a private specialist clinic, the first consultation typically runs S$120–250, with investigations such as patch testing, skin swabs, or blood panels billed additionally. For planned procedures, request a written financial counselling estimate covering insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding.

To take the next step, contact Dermatology & Co directly by WhatsApp or phone to confirm appointment availability, the consulting doctor's SMC registration and specialist accreditation, and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence — then verify both independently before your visit. Listing data is incomplete — contact Dermatology & Co directly to confirm details.

I have been seeing Dr Ker for a while now. She's absolutely a fantastic and friendly doctor. The place is well run and her staff are warm and welcoming. While anxiously waiting for my day surgery, they even asked if I needed some music to help relax. It's a highly patient centric clinic and I always enjoy my visit and catching up with people here. Wishing her team a great new year ahead! Special thanks to this excellent team

Dr Tan and the whole staff were great. Very attentive, asked thorough questions, were sensitive to my needs and acted quickly to help get something in stock for me. Great care.

Overall experience is quite average. Dr Tan has been great and helped me a lot with my pregnancy acne but the receptionists can be better. Not the greatest experience dealing with them tbh. The clinic is also extremely busy so you’d have to be very flexible with your time and book an appointment well in advance.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Dermatology & Co charge?

Private dermatology specialist consultations in Singapore typically run S$120–250 for a first appointment and S$80–180 for follow-ups. Common investigations billed on top include skin patch testing, swabs or cultures, and blood panels (S$60–200), as well as procedures such as cryotherapy, biopsies, or laser treatments which vary widely in cost. For paediatric patients, parents should also account for any prescription skincare or medication costs. GST applies to private medical services. If you hold an Integrated Shield Plan layered on MediShield Life, confirm pre-authorisation requirements with your insurer before the consultation — and for any planned procedure, request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portion before committing. Is Dermatology & Co MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration has been provided to KakiList for Dermatology & Co. Every legitimate private specialist clinic is required to hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory online. Every practising doctor must be registered on the SMC public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm their registration status, specialist accreditation (in this case, Dermatology), and any disciplinary history. For a dermatologist, a Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS) in Dermatology is the recognised specialist credential beyond basic SMC registration. Parents seeking paediatric skin care should specifically confirm that the consulting doctor holds accreditation in Dermatology and has experience managing paediatric cases. Verify both the clinic licence and the named doctor's SMC entry independently before booking — neither alone is sufficient.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Dermatology & Co?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life can cover private specialist consultations, day procedures, and inpatient stays, subject to your plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider terms. For paediatric dermatology, confirm whether your child is covered under your own IP or a separate children's rider, and obtain pre-authorisation or a Letter of Guarantee from your insurer before any planned procedure. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient items under the MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits (S$500 per year general outpatient, S$700 per year for chronic conditions listed under the Chronic Disease Management Programme). Paediatric eczema and selected chronic skin conditions may qualify under CDMP — confirm eligibility directly with the clinic. For any planned procedure, request a written financial counselling session so you receive an itemised estimate splitting insurance, MediSave, and cash portions before paying any deposit.
