Dr Victor Kwok was incredibly kind, caring, and understanding. Even though this was a once-off appointment and I probably won’t see him again, the impact he had on me in just that one session was incredible. From the moment I met him, I felt completely heard, supported, and safe. His patience, warmth, and genuine compassion made such a huge difference, and I left feeling lighter and truly reassured. He took the time to listen to everything I had to share, offered thoughtful guidance, and treated me with so much respect and care. His words and support helped me feel understood in a way I hadn’t expected, and I can’t put into words how much that meant to me. I am so grateful for his attention, kindness, and the way he made me feel genuinely supported. I left feeling comforted, hopeful, and truly cared for—Dr Victor Kwok is an exceptional psychiatrist, and even just one appointment had a lasting impact on me.
I did approach the clinic with some doubt initially because the reviews seemed too good to be true, but my doubts were erased when I met the doctors. The reviews are indeed accurate. Dr Victor is truly an outstanding and genuine doctor! He really cares for your mental well being and I think this the best clinic I've been to thus far. I've been to quite a couple but I will be sticking to Private Space. Dr Beron is also a really outstanding psychologist so if you need some therapy, he's your go to guy. 10/10 recommend.
I had sessions with Dr Lee and am so grateful for her thoroughness and kindness during sessions. She is an excellent listener and really took the time to get to know me and my condition well. I can’t recommend her enough.
I had a very unpleasant experience with Eve that worsened my recovery and made me more anxious. She initially spent ~5-10 mins of the first session talking about herself to tell me "I guess I wanted to say I'm qualified and you can trust me." I was also taking very long to form my thoughts (I mentioned at the end of my first session that I need time to answer and asked whether she's okay) and she started interrupting me and asked other questions when I was mid-sentence thinking. She also didn't give me any time at the end to ask questions and I had to interrupt to ask questions while she is scheduling the next appointment and assumes I want to continue automatically without asking. There was also once I told her someone said something triggering to me and I didn't want to say the exact words but it's something paggro. She condescended "I need to know what triggers (emphasis) you to help you." I later learned that in trauma, you're supposed to focus on stabilisation and regulation first before moving on to processing and sense making. Maybe she would be more suitable for other cases but I don't think she is a good fit for complex trauma. ----- Edit: Other things that I'm remembering now I asked for therapy for "depression and other (family) issues" after seeking a psychiatrist assessment for ADHD and depression. At the end of the sessions, after I had difficulties talking about myself due to being overwhelmed thinking, she frequently questioned: "How did you get diagnosed with ADHD?" "People with ADHD don't all behave like that" She also doesn't even bother getting to casually chat, but most of the time spends the therapy session directly questioning you, which gives off an interrogative tone, as if she is more interested in maintaining her power and authority over you. During the 2nd session, immediately after I came in, she said with an emotionless expression coldly "You seem anxious. Are you anxious?" and I ended up freezing for a few minutes over the sheer awkwardness and passive-aggressiveness. Edit (Oct 2025): Okay so the clinic contacted me about 1 week after I posted my initial review, to tell me that: -They do not think the therapist did anything wrong. -They think that it’s not their fault as they think it’s an issue of therapy modality and the therapist asked me to do CBT after 3 sessions and the events in the review happened. -The therapist disputes introducing herself using the words in my review. -They are sorry for my experience. -They hope I can take down my review because it affects her livelihood. So I didn’t post any update initially because I was still processing what had happened. Regarding the modalty modality, the therapist mentioned she has experience treating patients with trauma, which i took to be a sign that she is supposed to be knowledgeable since she placed in a bio. Her actions, which probed straightaway at my past destabilised me by the end of the 3rd session, showed an ignorance of trauma, which she should have regardless of modality. It felt like she wasn’t taking responsibility for her actions at all, and was merely sorry that “I’m feeling the way I do”. Later, she suggested that perhaps it was her gender that made me uncomfortable, and questioned me defensively on how I was diagnosed with ADHD (see above), blaming everything else except herself for the ineffectiveness of therapy. Sharing deeply personal information, is an act of vulnerability and a sign of trust. When I couldn't, Eve seemed hurt, which contributed to her paggro-ness in her questioning my ADHD diagnosis. It felt like she felt entitled to hearing about my feelings, perhaps as she is used to. This is deeply disturbing, as being able to share in some deeply intimate details should be an honour and not an entitlement, and definitely not something to get angry about, and I feel betrayed The point about removing my post bc it affects her livelihood was more shocking and insulting. Imagine if someone who was assaulted was told that they’re ruining someone’s future and was asked to withdraw charges
Agree with some of dr victor’s patients’ positive reviews, he is indeed a very caring and thoughtful doctor. He had shown special care for my sibling who is his patient, as well as our family members. He understands the pain and hardship that the patient and family are going through. Highly recommend him.
