About Dr Jenny Tang SBCC Asthma Lung Sleep Allergy

About Dr Jenny Tang SBCC Asthma Lung Sleep Allergy

Dr Jenny Tang SBCC Asthma Lung Sleep Allergy is a paediatric specialist practice located at Gleneagles Medical Centre on Napier Road, serving patients islandwide. The practice holds a 4.9/5 rating across 80 Google reviews, which represents a moderate and encouraging sample. No regulatory licences are listed in the current directory record, and ACRA registration has not been confirmed, so prospective patients are encouraged to verify credentials directly before booking.

For a first appointment, patients typically self-refer to a private paediatric specialist at a consultation fee in the region of S$120–250, or attend with a GP or polyclinic referral letter if they wish to access a subsidised outpatient clinic at a public hospital instead. At Gleneagles Medical Centre, this is a private setting, so consultation fees apply at point of service. The focus areas — asthma, respiratory conditions, sleep disorders, and allergies — are commonly managed as chronic conditions. Relevant investigations may include lung function tests, allergy skin-prick or blood testing, and overnight sleep studies, each billed separately. Integrated Shield Plan coverage, MediSave 500/700 outpatient withdrawal limits, and the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — which covers asthma as a listed condition — may help offset costs; confirm pre-authorisation with your insurer before the visit. Follow-up cadence depends on condition severity and treatment response.

To make an appointment, contact the clinic directly by phone or through the enquiry form, and bring your child's existing medical records, recent investigation results, and your Integrated Shield Plan details to the first consultation.

Saw Dr Alison for possible nut allergy and did a food challenge as well. Overall experience was great, the nurses go above and beyond e.g. they brought the skin prick kit to the ward so I did not have to bring my child down to the clinic. Dr Alison is great, very clear in explaining the situation as well as the approach we were going to take. Overall I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone whose child is facing allergy issues.

Been seeing Dr Alison for my daughter who has eczema and allergy - stumbled upon this clinic by chance. Dr Alison is very calm and motherly and she gives very good advice from the type of wash and cream to use and even up to the recipe for food to introduce to children who has allergies. The front desk staff / nurses are also nice and jovial. I always come in with an appointment and the wait time is roughly 30 minutes or even lessee but there was one time where we walked in but the wait was fine too - no complaints! Recommended my sister to see Dr Alison for her son and she also likes Dr Alison 🙏. Waiting time, medicine prescribed, advices from the doctor and the warmth from all the personnel in the clinic - TOP NOTCH 💯

Visited the clinic this afternoon. It is very clean and well managed clinic. The nurses are also very friendly and gentle. Dr Tang is very approachable, knowledgeable and patient to address each of our concerns. Dr Tang's consulting room decor is very cute and lovely and she has taken the effort to set it up in a way that her young patients will feel comfortable and engaged. Reception staff and nurses are all very detailed and patient with each and every single step along the way.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Dr Jenny Tang SBCC Asthma Lung Sleep Allergy charge?

Private paediatric specialist consultations in Singapore typically run S$120–250 for a first visit and S$80–180 for follow-ups. At a private facility such as Gleneagles Medical Centre, these fees apply at point of service without government subsidy, unless you attend via a polyclinic or GP referral to a public hospital's subsidised outpatient clinic instead. Investigations are billed on top of the consultation: allergy blood panels or skin-prick tests typically S$100–300 depending on the panel, lung function tests S$80–150, and overnight sleep studies considerably more. Prescriptions are charged separately. Any planned procedure should be quoted with a written financial counselling estimate that splits your Integrated Shield Plan payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portion clearly. MediSave 500/700 outpatient limits and CDMP coverage for asthma may apply — confirm with the clinic before your visit. See the full paediatric cost guide for Singapore →

Is Dr Jenny Tang SBCC Asthma Lung Sleep Allergy MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Every legitimate clinic premises must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act, verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Every practising doctor must appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg — search by the doctor's name to confirm registration status, specialist accreditation in the relevant branch (Paediatric Medicine or Respiratory Medicine), and any disciplinary history. No licences are recorded in this directory listing for Dr Jenny Tang SBCC Asthma Lung Sleep Allergy. This does not necessarily indicate a problem — the data may simply be incomplete — but it does mean you should verify both the clinic's MOH licence and the named doctor's SMC entry independently before booking. For paediatric respiratory and allergy specialists, a fellowship with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) or the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS) is the meaningful additional credential beyond basic SMC registration. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Dr Jenny Tang SBCC Asthma Lung Sleep Allergy?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life can cover private specialist consultations, day procedures, and inpatient stays subject to your plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. Confirm pre-authorisation with your insurer and request a Letter of Guarantee before any planned procedure to avoid claim disputes after the fact. For outpatient visits, MediSave can be used under the 500/700 withdrawal limits for selected chronic conditions. Asthma is a listed condition under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which allows MediSave withdrawal of up to S$700 per year for approved outpatient treatment at registered CDMP providers — confirm whether this practice is CDMP-registered before assuming MediSave can be used for routine follow-ups. For any planned investigation or procedure, ask the clinic for a financial counselling session and an itemised pre-treatment estimate that clearly splits the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions in writing. Skipping this step is the most common reason families are surprised by their final bill.
