The doctor seems competent, but the consultations felt quite brief and lacked the detailed explanations I would have appreciated as a new patient. Building trust is important, especially for parents bringing their children for the first time. I also faced issues with follow-up — I was told I would receive a call back on two separate occasions but never did. Reliability and good communication are key for a pediatric clinic, so I’ve decided to look for another practice that better fits our family’s needs.

Probably one of the best pedi’s I’ve been to in Singapore. Our 3 kids have been taken care of exceptionally well by Dr Leo over the last 10 years not just at his clinic but also at A&E. His experience is impressive and diagnosis is always accurate and in 95% cases our kids have never been given antibiotics which we really love. Thanks for the excellent care you have provided for all of my 3 children!

My daughter has seen Dr. Hamilton a few times over the last 2 years for various health concerns, and every single consultation experience has been absolutely wonderful! Unlike many other paediatric doctors, Dr. Hamilton is extra mindful when it comes to prescribing medication for young children, and would only prescribe them when absolutely necessary... which we greatly appreciate! Also, Dr. Hamilton would often take the time to explain his diagnosis (as well as treatment) in great detail and answer any questions you or your child may have. If he is prescribing medications, he would also explain why he is prescribing them, where they are from, and what they do. I would definitely recommend parents of young children to see Dr. Hamilton for any health issues!

So wasting of my time. They dont even check what could be covered in my insurance and gave wrong information for 2 times. She even confused when doctor would be in the office and changed the appointment time at the last minute. Go find another hospital which has seamless process for booking.

We were in town for 3 weeks when our 16 month came down with a high fever. The team there were excellent getting him in quickly and being very welcoming and accommodating. We were frantic because it was our first time traveling with a baby and they were very reassuring. Doctor Hamilton was great at calming us down and helping us understand what to do should things get worse. Excellent bedside care

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Dr Leo Hamilton Children's Clinic International charge?

Private paediatric first consultations in Singapore typically run S$120–250, with follow-up visits at S$80–180. On top of the consultation fee, investigations are billed separately: blood panels S$60–200, throat or nasal swabs S$40–100, urine tests S$30–80, and X-rays S$80–150 where indicated. Vaccinations under the National Childhood Immunisation Programme (NIP) are charged per dose, typically S$30–80 each for non-subsidised private-clinic pricing. For any planned procedure or specialist referral, request a written financial counselling estimate that splits the Integrated Shield Plan (IP) insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portion before proceeding. GST applies on private medical services. See the full paediatric cost guide for Singapore →

Is Dr Leo Hamilton Children's Clinic International MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Every legitimate clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act, verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Every practising doctor must appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg — search by name to confirm registration status, specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine, and any disciplinary history. No licence details have been provided to KakiList for this listing, so families should verify both the clinic's MOH licence and the named doctor's SMC registration independently before booking. For paediatric specialists, a fellowship with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) or the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS in Paediatric Medicine) is the meaningful additional credential beyond basic SMC registration. Confirm both before your first appointment.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Dr Leo Hamilton Children's Clinic International?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations, day procedures, and inpatient admissions subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. For any planned procedure, obtain a Letter of Guarantee from your IP insurer in advance to avoid claim disputes after the fact. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient items under the MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits and under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers conditions including asthma in children. For routine GP-level childhood visits, polyclinic visits remain a more affordable subsidised alternative for Singapore Citizens (S$10–25 per visit), with referral to a public hospital Children's Specialist Outpatient Clinic at S$30–80 after subsidy if a specialist review is needed. Request a written financial counselling estimate at the clinic before any procedure so the insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket split is clear before you pay.
