About Dr Liew Woei Kang Paediatrics Allergy
Dr Liew Woei Kang Paediatrics Allergy is a private paediatric and allergy specialist practice located at Mount Elizabeth Novena Specialist Centre, serving patients across Singapore. KakiList has verified the operating details and contact channels. The practice holds a 4.8-out-of-5 rating across 26 Google reviews — a moderate sample size that is broadly encouraging but worth treating with some caution. No regulatory licences are currently listed on this profile, and ACRA registration has not been confirmed; prospective patients are encouraged to verify credentials directly before booking.
Paediatric specialist appointments at a private centre such as this are typically booked directly without a polyclinic referral, with a first consultation running S$120–250 and follow-up visits S$80–180 at private rates; a polyclinic or GP referral letter to a public hospital specialist outpatient clinic would reduce fees substantially but introduces waiting times of several weeks. For allergy-related concerns — food allergy, eczema, asthma, allergic rhinitis, or drug or insect-venom reactions — the specialist will typically take a detailed history, review any prior investigation results, and arrange appropriate diagnostic tests such as skin-prick testing, specific IgE blood panels, or spirometry, depending on the presenting condition. Integrated Shield Plans layered on MediShield Life may cover the consultation and diagnostics subject to the plan's deductible and co-insurance; confirm pre-authorisation with your insurer and check MediSave 500 or CDMP withdrawal eligibility for chronic conditions such as asthma before attending.
Contact the clinic directly by phone or through the enquiry form on the listing to confirm appointment availability, the consultation fee, and which investigations or allergy tests are performed in-house before your visit.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Dr Liew has been taking care of both my children whenever they are sick or hospitalised. He is always so composed, patience in explaining to us in layman terms and caring. We are so glad we met him in this parenthood journey. He don’t just treat illness but also taught us parents how to manage at home in future. His staffs have been very helpful too. We can see they are pressured and trying to do their best.
Dr Liew is always composed whenever we have a concern about our baby. He listens and provides constructive advices which is super useful for first time parents like us. We put our full trust in him! Thank you Dr Liew, its great to have you as our baby's PD. The counter staff is also very patient and professional. They are always careful when attending to my baby.
Dr Liew is an exceptional and caring doctor who truly goes the extra mile for his patients. He was attentive, patient, and thorough in addressing my daughter’s condition. We are especially grateful for his prompt assistance in providing a medical memo when we needed it urgently. His professionalism and compassion left a very deep impression on us.
Highly HIGHLY recommend Dr Liew! One of our friends recommended him when we wanted to switch our paediatrician and it was really the best decision! He is extremely gentle with our baby, patient with all our questions (and we have many since we are first time parents!) and is clearly experienced and knowledgeable. The nurses and receptionists in the clinic are responsive and able to answer some of our queries - it is evident he has trained them well. Thank you Dr Liew and clinic!
Dr Liew was the paediatrician of my first child since birth at Mount E Novena, and we also kindly requested for him to be the PD during the birth of my second child. Dr Liew is a very patient and caring doctor who would always take the time to fully understand our concerns and the condition of my child. Consultations with him never felt rushed and he would always address any queries we have. Being worried parents when we see our kids fall ill, Dr Liew's calm and patient demeanour as well as clear action plans to tackle the condition puts our minds at ease after each visit and we are very appreciative of that. We would also like to express our gratitude towards Dr Liew who took time out of his working hours to speak with us urgently as we needed a second opinion when our son was warded at KKH when he was barely two months old - we are so thankful to have met such a caring and kind PD to our kids. Also, the care would not be possible without the support of the staffs at the clinic (Ann, Regina and Serene), who are always responsive and would help to schedule our appointments with Dr Liew. Would highly recommend Dr Liew for his meticulous care. :)

Private paediatric specialist consultations in Singapore typically run S$120–250 for a first visit and S$80–180 for follow-up appointments. By contrast, a polyclinic or GP referral to a public hospital specialist outpatient clinic costs S$30–80 for Singapore Citizens after subsidy, though non-urgent waits of 4–12 weeks apply. Common add-on costs include blood panels (S$60–200), skin-prick allergy testing (S$80–200 depending on the panel size), spirometry or lung-function testing (S$80–150), prescriptions, and follow-up reviews. GST applies on private medical services. For any planned procedure or extended investigation, request a written financial counselling estimate that separates insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. No regulatory licences are currently listed on this KakiList profile, and ACRA registration has not been confirmed, so independent verification is important before booking. Every legitimate private specialist clinic holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Every practising doctor must appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg; search by the doctor's name to confirm registration status, specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine or a related discipline, and any disciplinary history. For a paediatric allergy specialist, relevant additional credentials include fellowship with the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS) or a Royal College fellowship (FRCPCH or equivalent). Confirm both the clinic's MOH licence and the named doctor's SMC entry before booking — neither alone is sufficient. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life can cover private specialist consultations, diagnostic investigations, and day procedures subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. Confirm pre-authorisation and request a Letter of Guarantee from your insurer before any planned procedure to avoid disputes after the fact. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient claims under the S$500-per-year general withdrawal limit, or under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) at up to S$700 per year for listed conditions including asthma — a common reason families visit a paediatric allergy specialist. Skin-prick testing and specific IgE panels may or may not be MediSave-claimable depending on how they are coded; confirm this with the clinic at the time of booking. Request a financial counselling session before any extended investigation or procedure so the clinic can provide an itemised estimate splitting insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions in writing. Skipping this step is the most common reason families are surprised by the final bill.
