About Dr Lim Xue Yan Children's Clinic

About Dr Lim Xue Yan Children's Clinic

Dr Lim Xue Yan Children's Clinic is a paediatric practice located at Parkway East Hospital on Joo Chiat Place, serving families across Singapore. KakiList has verified the operating details and contact channels. The clinic holds a 3.4/5 rating across 18 Google reviews — a small sample that should be treated as directional only rather than definitive. No regulatory licences have been recorded in this listing, and parents are strongly encouraged to confirm the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting doctor's Singapore Medical Council registration directly before booking.

For a first visit, families typically contact the clinic by phone or via the online enquiry form to confirm appointment availability and whether a referral letter is needed. A private specialist paediatric consultation in Singapore generally runs S$120–250 for a first visit, with blood work, vaccinations under the National Childhood Immunisation Programme, or other investigations billed separately. If your child has a complex developmental or chronic condition, ask at the time of booking whether the clinic manages that condition directly or refers to a subspecialist. For planned procedures or inpatient admission through Parkway East Hospital, request a written financial counselling estimate that separates Integrated Shield Plan coverage, MediSave deductions, and out-of-pocket costs before proceeding.

To get started, call the clinic or submit the online enquiry form to confirm appointment availability, the consulting doctor's name and SMC registration, and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence — then bring your child's vaccination booklet and any referral letter from your GP or polyclinic to the first consultation.

Dr Lim Xue Yan is very patient and took care of my baby when I told her that my baby has been vomiting for one or two days. She took time to examine the baby and explained in details

My daughter, B, has been seeing Dr Lim for 6 years. From baby until now, primary one. Dr Lim is experienced and a specialist in paediatrics, as my daughter can recover soon after she sees her. B loves her medicine, as they all come with a fruity taste. The receptionist and nurse are friendly and knowledgeable. Last time, my house was just opposite the road. Now we will still drive back here for her medical appointments even though we have moved to another place. From A Happy Customer

Dr Lim came highly recommended by a friend, when my son developed unexplained fever reaching 39-40 over 3 days. We were greeted by Nurse Junaidah and Alice that were super helpful, assuring and polite to my boy and I, being new to the clinic and first timers to see Dr Lim. The actual consult was thorough, but fast and accurate enough to ascertain that my boy didn’t have UTI (urine collected and processed same day), Influenza (swab was done) so it was elimination down to a viral fever. Doctor Lim comes across as knowledgeable and has a genuine love for kids that make me as a parent safe and comforted after my visit- and I still feel the same way 3 days after the visit. I’d highly recommend checking their opening hours for the clinic but I will assure you that Dr Lim and her team are an awesome bunch that will put you and your child at ease if you visit them to get treated. 👍🏼🫰🏼

$ 476.33 per visit. This is our first experience with this doctor, for 4-year-old given all the Médecins that are available without a blood test. Pre bio. antibiotics - we are sure we are not going back.

I asked for Dr Lim when I gave birth at PEH simply because I know her clinic is just opposite my gynae and they are under the same group SOG. I was slightly terrified at the bad reviews which I saw only after I delivered lol. But despite that, I really enjoyed my consultation with Dr Lim as she always addressed all my concerns. She is also available on some weekdays day time to late afternoon which is great as mornings can be quite hectic at home. Short waiting time as well - my confinement nanny was shocked that I could go for my first PD check and come back so fast. She’s also not judgemental at my questions as a worrisome FTM. She’s also won’t judge you if you want to do your vacc at poly clinic and subsequent developmental assessment

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Dr Lim Xue Yan Children's Clinic charge?

Private paediatric specialist consultations in Singapore typically run S$120–250 for a first visit and S$80–180 for follow-ups. Investigations are billed on top: blood panels S$60–200, X-rays S$80–150, and ultrasounds S$150–400. Vaccinations under the National Childhood Immunisation Programme are priced per dose, typically S$30–80 each at private clinics. GST applies on private medical services. For any planned procedure or hospital admission through Parkway East Hospital, ask for a written financial counselling estimate before consenting — this should clearly split the Integrated Shield Plan payout, MediSave deduction, and remaining out-of-pocket portion. Skipping this step is the most common reason families are surprised by the final bill. See the full paediatric cost guide for Singapore →

Is Dr Lim Xue Yan Children's Clinic MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Every legitimate clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. The consulting paediatrician must also be registered with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC); search by name at smc.gov.sg to confirm registration status, specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine, and any disciplinary history. No licences have been recorded in this listing, so parents should confirm both the clinic licence and the doctor's SMC entry directly with the clinic before booking. For surgical or subspecialty paediatric work, a fellowship with the Royal College or the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS in Paediatric Medicine) is the meaningful additional credential. Confirm the named doctor and their qualifications at the time of enquiry — neither the clinic licence alone nor SMC registration alone is sufficient reassurance on its own.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Dr Lim Xue Yan Children's Clinic?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life typically cover private specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient stays subject to your plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider terms. For any planned procedure, obtain pre-authorisation and a Letter of Guarantee from your insurer before the event to avoid claim disputes afterwards. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient items under the S$500/year general withdrawal limit, or S$700/year under the Chronic Disease Management Programme for listed conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and selected others. For paediatric vaccinations, MediSave can be used for National Childhood Immunisation Programme vaccines at approved providers. Ask the clinic at booking which vaccines are claimable and whether the clinic is an accredited CHAS or Screen for Life panel provider, as this affects subsidised access for eligible Singapore Citizens and PRs. Always request a written itemised estimate before any planned procedure.
