About Dr Sherina TEETH Paediatric Dental

About Dr Sherina TEETH Paediatric Dental

Dr Sherina TEETH Paediatric Dental is a paediatric dental clinic located at Palais Renaissance (Orchard), offering specialised dental care for infants, children, and adolescents across Singapore. The practice holds a 4.9/5 rating across 68 Google reviews, a moderately robust sample that provides reasonable confidence in the rating. No ACRA registration or regulatory licence details were provided for this listing, which limits independent verification at this stage.

A first visit to a paediatric dental clinic typically begins with a consultation covering the child's dental history, any presenting concerns (tooth pain, decay, delayed eruption, or bite issues), and a clinical examination. The paediatric dentist will assess developmental milestones relevant to primary and permanent dentition, advise on preventive care (fissure sealants, fluoride application, dietary habits), and discuss treatment options where needed — from fillings and extractions under local anaesthesia to more complex procedures requiring sedation or general anaesthesia at a partnering hospital. For anxious or very young children, behaviour management techniques are a core part of paediatric dental practice. Fees at a private paediatric specialist clinic are typically higher than general dental practice; confirm whether the clinic accepts Medisave for selected procedures, and whether an Integrated Shield Plan covers any portion of the treatment. A written treatment plan with itemised cost estimates should be provided before any procedure begins.

As a mother, I was very worried when another dentist told us that my 6 years old daughter had cavities in eight molars and three of them might need to be extracted. When we met Dr Terry, he carefully assessed her condition and confidently told us he could try to save the teeth with root canal treatment instead of removing them. Although the procedure had to be done under general anaesthesia, he and his team were very patient and explained everything clearly. The surgery went smoothly and my daughter recovered very well on the same day. I’m truly grateful to Dr Terry and his team for their professionalism and care.❤️

We highly recommend Dr Terry for his skill and patience, and the clinic's overall kid-friendly environment with professional and communicative staff. My 6 year old - who is normally terrified of dentists - had a supernumery tooth that needed extraction. It was removed efficiently under GA, and he had no pain and a great appetite after. Dr Terry is gifted at working with children. He turned a scary experience into a positive one, and my son continues to look forward to dental visits!

If I could give them 6 stars I would. Everything was perfect. The easiest booking. Such helpful front of staff. The rooms are made for children in mind and as soon as my son walked in his anxiety about seeing the dentist vanished. Dr Elizabeth Tan is so gifted and has such a great way with kids. It was a super experience. For my 6 year old to have an extraction at his first ever dentist visit with zero tears shows you how great the whole team is. Strongly recommend

My child needed surgery for mesiodens, and we are very glad to have found Dr Terry, a pedodontist. From our initial WhatsApp enquiry, the response was fast and efficient. Dr Terry was patient and gentle, and he explained the treatment procedures clearly, which gave us great confidence that our child was in good hands. The procedure was handled smoothly and efficiently, making the experience much less stressful for both our child and us. The clinic is clean, comfortable, and child-friendly. The service, from enquiry to appointment, was prompt and well organised. Overall, it was a truly pleasant experience, and we are very grateful for the genuine care shown by Dr Terry and the Child Smile team. Highly recommended.

On Christmas Day, an unfortunate accident happened to my 8-year-old son when he was hit by a ball, causing his two front teeth to break in half. In a moment of panic, I rushed him to Mount Elizabeth A&E and desperately searched online and exhausted all my contacts trying to find an on-call dentist but Dr Terry Teo from Child Smile was the only dentist who responded and agreed to attend to us. From the very first moment, he reassured me and told me not to worry, that he would see my child immediately. Despite it being Christmas, he directed us to the Child Smile clinic and went the extra mile to call his team back to work within an hour to conduct a thorough check and perform whatever treatment was necessary. Dr Terry’s understanding, patience, and calmness were beyond words. He made my son feel safe and comfortable, explaining everything gently and clearly. What truly amazed me was how my normally anxious 8-year-old calmed down completely under his care and stayed quiet throughout the entire procedure. His passion for dentistry and genuine love for children truly shone through that night. It is really not easy to find a dentist with such dedication, compassion, and professionalism especially during an emergency and on a festive day. We are deeply grateful to Dr Terry Teo and the Child Smile team. Thank you for turning a frightening situation into one filled with reassurance and care. 🙏🏻

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Dr Sherina TEETH Paediatric Dental charge?

No specific fee schedule has been published for this listing, and pricing is indicated only as mid-range ($$). As a general guide for private paediatric dental specialists in Singapore, a first consultation typically runs S$120–200, with follow-up visits at S$80–150. Common procedures carry additional costs: fluoride application S$30–60, fissure sealants S$60–120 per tooth, fillings S$80–250 per tooth depending on material and complexity, extractions S$80–300, and procedures performed under sedation or general anaesthesia at a hospital facility will be substantially higher and require a separate anaesthetist and facility fee. GST applies on private dental services. Any planned procedure should be accompanied by a written financial estimate from the clinic that itemises the treatment components, MediSave eligibility (selected dental procedures qualify), and out-of-pocket portions. Is Dr Sherina TEETH Paediatric Dental MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration details were provided in this listing. For any private dental clinic, the clinic premises should hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act, verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. The consulting dentist — and any specialist claiming paediatric dentistry as a recognised specialism — should appear on the Singapore Dental Council (SDC) public register, which is the equivalent of the SMC register for dental practitioners. A specialist paediatric dentist (Registered Dentist with specialist accreditation in Paediatric Dentistry) holds a postgraduate qualification beyond the basic dental degree, such as an MDS (NUS), MFDS, or equivalent fellowship. Search the SDC register by the dentist's name before booking to confirm their registration status and any specialist accreditation. The clinic's MOH licence should also be verifiable separately.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Dr Sherina TEETH Paediatric Dental?

MediSave can be used for selected dental procedures — specifically, surgical extractions (including wisdom teeth and certain complex extractions) qualify under the MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits. Routine consultations, fillings, scaling, fluoride applications, and fissure sealants are generally not MediSave-claimable on an outpatient basis. If a procedure requires general anaesthesia at a hospital facility, the hospitalisation component may fall under an Integrated Shield Plan (IP) layered on MediShield Life, subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider terms — confirm pre-authorisation and whether a Letter of Guarantee from the insurer is required before the procedure. Request a written financial counselling estimate from the clinic before any planned treatment, so you understand the split between insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket costs before committing.
