Families considering ELFA Preschool should begin by enquiring about available slots for their intended start month, as infant care and playgroup places are often limited. When you make contact, ask about the infant-to-caregiver ratio, the daily routine, and the settling-in period to understand how the centre supports younger children transitioning into group care. It is also worth confirming whether the centre participates in ECDA subsidy schemes, which can meaningfully reduce monthly fees for Singapore citizen children whose families meet the eligibility criteria.
The most practical next step is to call or submit an enquiry form directly through KakiList to ask about current vacancy, arrange a centre visit, and request a copy of the fee schedule before committing.
Visit the centre in person, meet the lead teacher, and read the parent contract before signing.

We are glad to engage my daughter first learning journey with Elfa. Wide range of enrichment activities, opportunities and exposure for the child to explore and pick up soft skills on top of curriculum schedules. Annual year end concert is a heart felt appreciation to testify their growing up journey. Thank you Elfa for walking with us.
We’ve had such a wonderful experience with this preschool. The teachers are warm, nurturing, and genuinely care about the children’s wellbeing. My child has grown so much in confidence and independence, and always comes home excited to share what they did in school. We truly feel supported as partners in our child’s development. Highly recommend this preschool to any parent looking for a caring and engaging early learning environment.
We are truly impressed with the Chinese New Year celebration organised for the children at ELFA Hougang. The teachers’ performance of the lion dance was filled with enthusiasm and joy, creating an engaging and festive atmosphere for everyone. It was heartwarming to see the children joining in with shouts of excitement and dancing along, fully immersed in the celebration. The art and craft activity with calligraphy was another highlight, allowing the children to have even more fun while exploring their creativity and connecting with the traditions of the celebration. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for both the children and parents. Thank you to the school and teachers for making this celebration so memorable and enjoyable! I love ELFAAAA

ELFA Preschool is priced in the mid-range ($$) bracket, which for Singapore childcare and playgroup programmes typically spans S$800–S$1,800 per month depending on the age group and programme hours. Contact the centre directly for the exact monthly fee applicable to your child's age band. Beyond the monthly fee, families should budget for a one-time registration fee and a refundable deposit (commonly equivalent to one to two months' fees). Uniform and personal accident insurance costs are also standard. Childcare fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so the figures quoted should reflect the full amount payable. Singapore citizen children enrolled in licensed childcare centres may be eligible for the Basic Subsidy — up to S$600 per month for infant care and up to S$300 per month for childcare. Working mothers employed for 56 hours or more per month may additionally qualify for the Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy. For lower-income families, the Additional Subsidy (means-tested) can bring the combined monthly subsidy up to approximately S$710. Permanent Resident children are eligible for partial subsidies at lower quantum. Subsidy amounts are subject to periodic revision by ECDA, so it is important to check the current figures directly on the ECDA website before planning your budget. To apply, families typically submit subsidy forms through the childcare centre itself. Note that subsidy eligibility is tied to ECDA licensing — confirm with ELFA Preschool that the specific programme you are enrolling in qualifies.
Playgroup and childcare places in Singapore can fill quickly, particularly for younger age groups and for January intake, which is the most competitive period of the year. It is generally advisable to enquire three to six months ahead of your intended start date, and up to twelve months ahead for infant care vacancies. To secure a place, centres typically require payment of a registration fee and a deposit at the point of acceptance. Submitting your enquiry early gives you the best chance of being offered a slot in your preferred start month. Contact ELFA Preschool directly by phone or via the enquiry form to check current availability and ask to be placed on a waitlist if no immediate vacancy exists.
