About Epi Dermatology & Laser Specialist Clinic

About Epi Dermatology & Laser Specialist Clinic

Epi Dermatology & Laser Specialist Clinic is a private dermatology practice located at Royal Square Medical Centre, Novena, serving patients islandwide. KakiList has verified its operating details and contact channels. The clinic holds a 4.6-star rating across 29 Google reviews — a moderate sample size that suggests broadly positive patient experience, though prospective patients should weigh it accordingly.

Patients typically reach the clinic through a direct private specialist booking, with first consultations priced in the mid-tier private range ($$). For paediatric skin concerns — including eczema, contact dermatitis, molluscum contagiosum, warts, and paediatric acne — the dermatologist will take a clinical history, examine the skin, and discuss a treatment plan. Investigations such as patch testing, skin scraping, or a skin biopsy may be ordered where the diagnosis is unclear. Planned procedures should be preceded by a written financial counselling estimate splitting your Integrated Shield Plan (IP) payout, any applicable MediSave deduction, and your out-of-pocket portion. IP pre-authorisation or a Letter of Guarantee from your insurer is advisable before any day procedure to avoid billing surprises.

Excellent experience with Dr Lee and the clinic staff. I am based overseas but was looking to remove or lighten my sunspots on a visit. It was easy and flexible to book an appointment that fit my schedule and Dr Lee was able to remove a significant number of sunspots in just one visit and gave valuable post-treatment advice. My skin hasn't been this smooth and blemish free in years and I'm delighted with the results.

Highly recommended! I have been seeing Dr Lee for almost a year for my adult atopic ezcema + cystic acne combo (too dry yet too oily is a horrible combi I know) She has honestly been the best derm I’ve seen. Very honest, understanding and takes time to understand your condition. As with every clinic, a big part of your experience will be interacting with the clinic assistant, Jeannie. Jeannie is a full timer, and the only clinic assistant for Epi Derm. She is the BEST. Replies super fast for scheduling and there was once I had the worst ezcema flare on earth and even though the clinic wasn’t open she was there to pass me my medicine to control the flare up.

Dr. Lee is among the best dermatologists by far. She has a warm disposition, is highly professional, and gives clear answers to all my concerns. My skin condition has greatly improved, and I'm delighted that Dr. Lee's treatment is working. Additionally, the front desk staff is incredibly courteous and friendly.

Is Epi Dermatology & Laser Specialist Clinic MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Every legitimate clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Every practising doctor must appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg — search by name to confirm current registration status, specialist accreditation (Dermatology is a recognised SMC specialty), and any disciplinary history. For dermatology, a fellowship credential such as FRCS (Dermatology) or an Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS) fellowship is the meaningful additional signal beyond basic SMC registration. Note that no regulatory licences are currently listed for Epi Dermatology & Laser Specialist Clinic on this directory. Prospective patients should verify the clinic's MOH licence and the consulting dermatologist's SMC entry directly before booking — neither alone is sufficient. Listing data is incomplete — contact Epi Dermatology & Laser Specialist Clinic directly to confirm details.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Epi Dermatology & Laser Specialist Clinic?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations, day procedures, and inpatient admissions, subject to your plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. Confirm pre-authorisation and request a Letter of Guarantee from your insurer before any planned dermatology procedure — this prevents claim disputes after treatment. MediSave can be used for outpatient dermatology under the MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits (S$500/year general outpatient; S$700/year for chronic skin conditions listed under the Chronic Disease Management Programme such as eczema and psoriasis). For paediatric patients, check whether the child's MediSave account has sufficient balance, and note that parents' MediSave accounts may be used for a child's treatment in certain circumstances. Request a financial counselling session at the clinic before any procedure to receive an itemised written estimate. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
