Engaging an event planner typically begins with an enquiry by WhatsApp, phone, or the online form, sharing your event date, venue, and approximate headcount. From there, a scope and theme consultation shapes the planning brief — covering the style direction, multi-vendor coordination (caterer, photographer, decorator, entertainment), and a timeline from booking through to setup and teardown on the day. Confirm the deposit required to secure your date, the balance payment schedule, and the rescheduling or wet-weather contingency plan for any outdoor elements. Lead time matters: popular event Saturdays in March, April, October, and November fill quickly, so six months or more of advance planning is advisable for weddings and large events, with six to twelve weeks typically sufficient for birthday parties or baby full-month celebrations.
To take the next step, reach out to Events Works Singapore via WhatsApp or phone with your event date and a brief description of the scope, and request a written package proposal that sets out deliverables, inclusions, the deposit amount, and the cancellation and rescheduling terms.
Lock in the date with a written contract and deposit, confirm the public liability insurance and any HDB / condo / hotel venue paperwork, and put the deliverables, balance schedule, and rescheduling policy in writing.
We engaged Funworks to organise our annual teambonding event, and the experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The Amazing Race at Sentosa thoughtfully planned and seamlessly executed. The challenges were creative, well-balanced, and thoughtfully designed to encourage teamwork, communication, and problem solving. The facilitators were energetic, clear in their instructions, and highly attentive, ensuring that all teams felt supported and included. The event concluded on a high note with prize presentations and a generous lucky draw, leaving participants feeling appreciated and rewarded. Overall, the vendor demonstrated strong professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail. We would highly recommend them to organisations looking for a well-run, engaging, and memorable teambuilding experience.
Had an amazing Year End Party with the help of Funworks!!! As part of our company’s Social Committee who planned the event, Meagan and her team really guided us on how to make our first company D&D memorable and fun! We didn’t even sweat during the day as Funworks handled it all from lights, sounds, program flow and all necessary assistance throughout the night. Emcee Gerald was also a fantastic and very engaging host who added enthusiasm during the event. After the event, we heard lots of compliments about the program flow! It was really a night to remember.
We had a wonderful experience working with the Funworks team for our event! The facilitators were engaging, organized, and made the activities both fun and meaningful. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish, and our participants had an amazing time. Highly recommend Funworks for any team-building event!
We truly enjoyed the activities organised by Funworks! My company has engaged them for our Annual team building event for a consecutive two years. They never fail to disappoint. Keeping the energy high. I like the stations of cup stacking pyramid, paper aeroplane, flipping squares and squid games theme.
Organised a team bonding session with the team at Funworks (Zhi Yu, Rebecca and Zeth). Programmes were planned nicely, time management was also well done! My colleagues and I all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. They also responded fast to our queries, which made the whole planning experience smooth without hiccups. Would definitely recommend their services to anyone looking for a fun and engaging team bonding!

Events Works Singapore prices its services as packages, displayed at the mid-range S$$ tier. For context, full event planning in Singapore (excluding venue and food and beverage) typically runs S$5,000–25,000+ depending on scope, guest count, and the number of vendors being coordinated. Smaller scoped engagements such as kids' birthday parties or baby full-month setups tend to fall in the S$500–2,500 range for combined entertainment and décor. When requesting a proposal, confirm what is included: hours of coverage or planning involvement, number of vendor categories managed, site recce visits, setup and teardown supervision, and the deliverables timeline. Ask about the deposit (typically 30–50% on signing), the balance due date, travel charges for non-central venues, and whether GST applies. See the full event planners cost guide for Singapore →
For weddings and large corporate events, six to twelve months ahead is the norm — popular Saturdays in March, April, October, and November book out earliest, and coordinating multiple vendors requires a long runway. For birthday parties and baby celebrations such as full-month or 100-day events, six to twelve weeks is generally sufficient for most dates, though in-demand weekends during school holidays close faster. Once you have a shortlist of venues or a confirmed event date, approach Events Works Singapore as early as possible so the planning brief can be established before vendors in other categories are already taken. Confirm whether the date is formally held on payment of a deposit, and ask about a rescheduling policy in case circumstances change before the event.
The Singapore industry standard for event planners is a deposit of 30–50% on signing to secure the date and commence planning work. This typically covers the date hold, initial consultations, theme and concept development, and early vendor outreach on your behalf. Confirm in writing what planning hours and activities are included in the deposit portion versus the balance. Deposits are generally non-refundable but may be transferable to a rescheduled date — clarify this distinction before signing, and ask how many months ahead a rescheduled date can fall. Also confirm the rescheduling policy if a force-majeure event such as a public-health restriction affects the event. Ask about public liability insurance, particularly if the event is held at an HDB void deck, condo function room, or hotel venue where the venue may require a copy of the certificate before granting access.
