About ForestPlay
ForestPlay is a playgroup provider operating islandwide across Singapore, verified by KakiList, meaning a real person has confirmed its operating details and contact information. It holds a Google rating of 4 out of 5 based on 23 reviews — a modest sample size, so this figure should be treated as directional rather than conclusive. Monthly fees are priced at the mid-range tier ($$). Parents should note that ForestPlay does not currently appear on the ECDA licence register, and families are encouraged to confirm its regulatory status directly before enrolment.
When enquiring, ask about available slots for your intended start month, as playgroup places at popular programmes can fill quickly. Arrange a centre visit to observe the daily routine, understand the adult-to-child ratio, and meet the staff your child will spend time with. Discuss the settling-in period and what support is provided during the transition. If your child is a Singapore citizen, ask whether any ECDA subsidies apply to the programme, as eligibility depends on the provider's approval status.
To take the next step, contact ForestPlay directly by phone or via the enquiry form listed on this page. Ask specifically about current slot availability for your preferred start month, confirm the monthly fee and any registration or deposit requirements, and request written details of the daily programme before committing.
Visit the centre in person, meet the lead teacher, and read the parent contract before signing.

Hidden spot with nature sport play for the kids, simple and rustic but able to keep them occupied for good 2 hours. Good view and relaxation for the adults if whiling time there despite no f&b options. Mozzies are quite fierce so would suggest lots of repellent on hand. Good add on to forest activity here esp when we don't have many kid friendly options around.
Interesting experience for my boy who is a city boy. The environment is really “forest” environment with nice cool breeze and nature sound. It would be better if there r more engaging activities from the instructors, instead of just free play and too many kids with too little instructors.
The session wasn't what I expected. I had the assumption that there will be facilitated activity for the $47 that we paid ($45 for the session and $2 for the gloves .Took my 8 years old daughter and she was bored after 10 minutes. There was no engagement with the staff, they were just hanging around to take pictures. Also, we were expecting some wood works and that's why we purchased the gloves and they simply said it's only for December. They did not offer a refund. The place was quite small with just a sand pit, mud pit, and painting on a wall canvas. The other part of the area was just previous wood works. Please do not waste your time to bring your children there. Not worth the time, distance and money.
I recently brought my kids to attend the Forest Play Build&Play. It was probably the worst $35 I ever spent on my kid. It was advertised as the Play Workers teaching the kids on how to use the tools and teaching then how to build stuff. But no, they just stood around, asking them what they were doing, occasionally just horsing around with the kids. Honestly, I could have just bought a hammer, saw and a few pieces of wood for much less. It was dis-engaging, un-organised and really not what we expected. Was it supposed to be this way ?
Good and nice place for kids to enhance their motor skills close to nature. Friendly and experience staffs overlooking your child safety. Overall my kids enjoy their sessions here.

ForestPlay is priced at the mid-range tier ($$) on a monthly recurring basis. Beyond the monthly programme fee, families should ask about a one-time registration fee, a deposit (typically equivalent to one to two months' fees), and any costs for uniforms or group insurance where applicable. Childcare and playgroup fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so no GST should be added to your invoice. It is worth confirming the full fee schedule in writing before enrolment, including any notice period required to withdraw. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →
Government subsidies for childcare and playgroup programmes in Singapore are administered by ECDA and are available to Singapore citizen children enrolled at ECDA-approved centres. The Basic Subsidy provides up to S$300 per month for childcare; the Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy (WMS) provides additional support for working mothers clocking 56 or more hours per month. An Additional Subsidy, income-tested and means-based, can bring combined subsidy support to up to S$710 per month for eligible families. Permanent Resident children receive partial subsidies. Because ForestPlay does not currently appear on the public ECDA licence register, subsidy eligibility may not apply. Verify the centre's approval status with ECDA directly, as subsidy amounts and qualifying criteria are subject to change.
Demand for quality playgroup places in Singapore can be significant, and popular programmes sometimes have waiting periods of several months. January is typically the peak intake period, so families targeting a start at the beginning of the year should enquire well in advance — ideally three to six months ahead. To secure a place, centres generally require a completed registration form alongside a registration fee and deposit. Contact ForestPlay directly by phone or via the enquiry form to ask about current availability for your preferred start month and to understand what is needed to reserve a slot.
