About Gentle Dental Group
Gentle Dental Group is a dental practice based at 92 Jln Jurong Kechil, Singapore 598597, with coverage islandwide. KakiList has verified the operating details and contact channels. The clinic holds a 4.9/5 rating across 145 Google reviews — a robust sample that reflects consistent patient experience. No regulatory licences are recorded in the current listing; parents and patients should confirm the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the treating dentist's Singapore Dental Council (SDC) registration directly before booking.
Families enquiring about paediatric dental care should start by calling or submitting the online form to confirm appointment availability and the paediatric dentist's qualifications. At a first visit for a child, the dentist will typically conduct an oral examination, assess developmental milestones for the dentition, take targeted X-rays where clinically indicated, and provide a treatment plan with a written cost estimate. For anxious young patients, behaviour-management techniques — including tell-show-do, nitrous oxide sedation, or referral for general anaesthesia at a hospital-based day-surgery centre — may be discussed depending on the clinical situation. Families should also bring their child's vaccination records and any prior dental notes if transferring from another practice.
To take the next step, contact Gentle Dental Group by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing to confirm the paediatric dentist's availability, current consultation fees, and whether your child's Medisave or Integrated Shield Plan can be applied to the planned treatment.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Dental Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Dr steven was very gentle, knowlegeable and skillful. Within a week, he has restored my smile and gave me back my confidence. Highly recommend this clinic.
Was my first visit to the clinic and it was a great and pleasant overall experience. The staffs are friendly and inviting. Dr Melisa is knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Will come back again.
I’ve been seen by Dr Shawn (most recent), Dr Ooi and Dr Melissa. All the dentists have very high level of professionalism, technology and communication. They have educated and taught me on dental health and hygiene too, thanks everyone
It was my son’s very first visit to the dentist, and he was quite scared and anxious about the new experience—so he was understandably dramatic during the checkup and tooth extraction. But thanks to Dr. Ooi and the team’s gentle and patient approach, he left the clinic smiling! He was so proud of his extracted tooth, especially the way the nurse packed it nicely in a little tooth box. He even made up a story afterwards: “Look, there’s a hole here. I can put the straw in the gap and drink my green tea!” Thank you for making his first dental visit such a positive and memorable one. We’ll definitely be back!
The best Dentists and wonderful assistants in Singapore. Been going to Gentle Dental for 20 years. Friendly and helpful staff.

Dental consultation fees in Singapore's private sector typically run S$60–120 for a first visit, with paediatric consultations at the higher end given the additional behaviour-management time involved. Common add-ons include dental X-rays (S$30–80 per film or OPG S$80–150), scaling and polishing (S$80–200), tooth extraction (S$80–300 per tooth), and fissure sealants (S$50–100 per tooth). Restorations, pulp therapy (baby root canal), and stainless-steel crowns for children can run S$200–800 per tooth depending on complexity. General anaesthesia day-surgery cases are billed separately through a hospital and typically cost S$3,000–8,000+. GST applies on private dental services. For any planned procedure, request an itemised written estimate before treatment commences. See the full paediatric dental cost guide for Singapore →
Every legitimate dental clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory online. Every practising dentist must be registered with the Singapore Dental Council (SDC); search by name on the SDC public register at sdc.gov.sg to confirm registration status and any disciplinary history. Paediatric specialists additionally hold a specialist accreditation in Paediatric Dentistry on the SDC specialist register. Gentle Dental Group's listing does not currently record licences — contact the clinic directly to request the MOH licence number and the treating dentist's SDC registration before booking. Neither licence alone is sufficient; confirm both the clinic premises licence and the individual practitioner's registration before your child's appointment.
Routine dental consultations, scaling, and fillings are generally not MediSave-claimable under standard outpatient rules. However, MediSave can be used for certain surgical dental procedures — including surgical extraction of impacted teeth and dental implants — under the MediSave surgical table (typically S$250–950 per claim depending on complexity). Children's dental treatment under general anaesthesia at a MOH-licensed day-surgery facility may attract MediSave claims via the inpatient/day-surgery route. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover hospitalisation costs where dental treatment is performed under general anaesthesia in a hospital or day-surgery centre, subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider terms. Confirm pre-authorisation and a Letter of Guarantee from your insurer before any planned procedure. Some corporate dental insurance plans cover routine check-ups and fillings — check your policy schedule directly. Request a written financial counselling estimate from the clinic before any planned procedure.
