A typical consultation begins with an intake assessment covering your health history, current diet, and clinical goals — whether that is weight management, blood sugar control, cardiovascular risk reduction, sports nutrition, or managing a specific condition such as chronic kidney disease, irritable bowel syndrome, or eating disorders. Your dietitian will review any relevant medical reports or blood results and build a personalised eating plan with practical meal guidance suited to your lifestyle. Follow-up sessions track progress, adjust targets, and address barriers to adherence. Patients referred by a specialist or GP may be able to claim consultation fees under MediShield Life or Integrated Shield Plans, depending on their insurer's policy — confirm this with your insurer before your first appointment.
To make an appointment, contact Gleneagles Hospital Dietitian by phone or through the enquiry form, and have your referral letter and recent blood results ready if your visit is condition-related.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.

Dietitian consultation fees at private hospital settings in Singapore typically range from S$80 to S$180 per session for an initial consultation, with follow-up sessions often slightly lower. A pricing model has not been published for this listing, so it is best to confirm the exact fee by phone or enquiry form before your appointment. Additional costs to clarify include any clinical assessment tools used, printed meal plans or educational materials, and whether a referral letter from a GP or specialist is required for insurance purposes. GST applies to consultations at private facilities. If you hold an Integrated Shield Plan, check with your insurer whether outpatient dietitian sessions are claimable under your specific policy rider. A referral is not strictly required to see a dietitian at Gleneagles Medical Centre — you can self-refer and book directly by phone or enquiry form. However, if your visit is related to a medical condition such as diabetes, chronic kidney disease, or post-surgical recovery, bringing a referral letter from your GP or specialist and copies of recent blood results will allow the dietitian to begin a targeted assessment without delay. For insurance or MediShield Life claim purposes, some Integrated Shield Plan policies require a formal specialist referral before outpatient allied health consultations are claimable. Confirm this with your insurer before your first appointment to avoid an unexpected out-of-pocket bill. The first session typically involves a detailed dietary history, clinical goal-setting, and an initial eating plan.
Dietitians in Singapore are regulated under the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC). Registered dietitians hold an AHPC licence, which is verifiable on the AHPC public register at www.healthprofessionals.gov.sg. This is distinct from nutritionists, who are not required to hold statutory registration in Singapore. No regulatory licences have been listed for this provider on KakiList. Before your first appointment, confirm the consulting dietitian's full name and verify their AHPC registration number directly on the public register. At a facility such as Gleneagles Medical Centre, practitioners are typically credentialled by the hospital, but individual verification remains the safest step. Confirm the practitioner's licence on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
