About Hjh Maimunah Catering
Hjh Maimunah Catering is a Malay and Muslim catering provider based at 11 Jalan Pisang, Singapore 199078, operating islandwide. The listing has been verified by KakiList, and the service carries a 4.5/5 rating across 3,284 Google reviews — a robust sample that reflects consistent guest feedback over time. Pricing is positioned at the mid-range tier ($$) and is structured on a per-pax basis, which is standard for buffet and event catering.
When enquiring, begin with your event date, expected headcount, and the dietary requirements of your guest list — particularly whether all guests require MUIS-certified halal catering, or whether a no-pork-no-lard menu suffices for mixed-faith groups. Confirm the minimum headcount, whether the menu covers a standard buffet or includes live stations, and what is included in the per-pax rate (delivery, setup, chafing dishes and warmers, buffet attendant, teardown). Ask about the menu tasting option before placing a deposit, as this is the clearest way to assess portion size, flavour profile, and suitability for your occasion. Confirm the delivery and setup window, the cooked-to-served timeline for hot dishes, and the protocol for handling leftovers safely.
To proceed, contact Hjh Maimunah Catering by phone or through the enquiry form with your event date, venue address, estimated pax count, and any dietary requirements, and request a written quotation itemising the per-pax rate, minimum order, delivery and setup fee, and balance payment schedule.
Confirm the SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence (and MUIS halal certificate where required), book a tasting before paying the deposit, and put the per-pax rate, minimum headcount, dietary mix, delivery and setup window, and balance schedule in writing.
🤤 The taste is absolutely incredible! The fish was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with a sweet, savory sauce. The curry vegetables with tofu were also great, and the Ikan Bilis was the perfect crunchy addition! For my spice lovers, you MUST try their Sambal Belacan, but be warned, it is seriously spicy, yet so fragrant you can’t stop! 🏠 Despite the crowd, the restaurant is kept very clean and tidy. The ordering section and a small seating area are on the ground floor. If it’s full, you can head up to the second floor for plenty more seating options! 📍 Find it here: 11 Jln Pisang, Singapore 199078 (About a 10-min walk from Bugis MRT or Jalan Besar MRT). Final Verdict: 💯 Verdict: Long queue and slightly pricey, but for this level of authentic Malay/Indonesian flavor, I give it a perfect score! Definitely one of the best Nasi Padang meals I’ve had this year. If you’re in the Bugis area and craving local food, go for it!
When you want a home cooked type of food, Hj Maimunah will be the answer. I am a regular customer and i can say the quality is consistent. It's halal, every dish is burst with flavour and it's considered value for money for daily meals. Do notes that during lunch hour 12-2 will be busy so expect to see long que. But if you can come early at 11.30 that's even better!
Get ready to taste the best Nasi Padang you have ever had in Singapore. Opened in 1992, this famous Nasi Padang restaurant has a ton of accolades including a Michelin bib gourmand. Go early otherwise expect a looooong queue. Favourite dish beef rendang and their curry squid cooked in squid ink. Yum!!!
We ordered the platter, quite delicious and full of flavour. The portion can actually serve 4–5 people, depending on appetite — it’s very generous! The queue was quite long, and there were even tourists dining there, which shows how popular the place is. Overall, a tasty and satisfying meal, definitely worth trying.
Here for a brunch and get a surprisingly big portion of nasi rawon. The best one is the beef skin. Not crowded at arrival. Lots of traditional cakes for try next time. Outside and inside seating. Upstair seating is also available.

Hjh Maimunah Catering uses a per-pax pricing model, which is standard for buffet catering in Singapore. Market norms for this category run from S$15–25/pax for a standard Malay buffet (minimum ~30 pax), S$25–40/pax for premium spreads, and S$30–60/pax for live-station setups. Pricing in the $$ band typically sits in the mid-range of these figures. Beyond the headline per-pax rate, confirm what is included: delivery and setup to the venue, chafing dishes and warmers, serving equipment, and whether a buffet attendant is on-site (typically S$80–150 per attendant if billed separately). Ask about minimum headcount, delivery surcharges for non-central addresses, and the balance payment schedule. GST may apply depending on the business's GST registration status. Hjh Maimunah Catering specialises in Malay cuisine and is understood to cater to Muslim dietary requirements, but families and event organisers should independently confirm the current MUIS halal certification status before booking. A MUIS certificate — displaying the licence number and validity dates — is the definitive standard for guests who require strictly certified halal food. 'No pork no lard' menus without MUIS certification do not meet the same bar. For mixed-faith guest lists, confirm whether vegetarian, no-beef (for Hindu guests), or gluten-free options can be accommodated, and ask about cross-contamination protocols. A menu tasting session before finalising the booking is the most reliable way to confirm portion suitability and dietary compliance. No regulatory licence data is available in the current listing — contact Hjh Maimunah Catering directly to request the SFA Catering Licence hygiene grade and MUIS certificate number before paying any deposit.
Legitimate caterers hold an SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence with a hygiene grade — A is highest, then B, C, D. Halal-certified caterers also hold a MUIS certificate; both should be available on request or visible on the company's website. No licence information is recorded in this listing, so you should ask Hjh Maimunah Catering directly to confirm both the SFA licence and MUIS certificate before booking. For food safety, cooked hot dishes should be served within a 2–3 hour cooked-to-served window, with hot-hold maintained above 60°C per SFA guidelines. Confirm the setup arrival time, buffet replenishment protocol for longer events, and the policy for safe handling or disposal of leftovers after the event. Confirm the SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence and MUIS halal certificate where required, book a tasting before paying the deposit, and put the per-pax rate, minimum headcount, dietary mix, delivery and setup window, and balance schedule in writing.
