About Huda Childcare

About "Huda Childcare"

Huda Childcare is a playgroup provider based in Woodlands, Singapore, verified by KakiList and registered with ACRA. The centre holds a Google rating of 3.8 out of 5 across 40 reviews — a moderate sample that offers a reasonable directional signal, though prospective families are encouraged to visit in person to form their own assessment. Families interested in enrolling should begin by contacting Huda Childcare to enquire about available slots for their intended start month, as places — particularly in the playgroup programme — can fill up ahead of key intake periods. During your enquiry, ask about the infant-to-caregiver ratio, the daily routine, and the settling-in approach the centre uses to help young children adjust. It is also worth discussing ECDA subsidy eligibility if your child is a Singapore citizen, as both the Basic Subsidy and Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy may apply depending on your household circumstances.

To take the next step, reach out to Huda Childcare via phone or the online enquiry form listed on this page to check current slot availability and arrange a centre visit before committing to enrolment.

We enrolled our first child in late 2023 as an N2 student. After previously attending a secular childcare centre, we wanted a more Islamic-centric environment to help cultivate and reinforce Islamic values and habits. The centre’s inclusion of Malay and Arabic was also a strong plus point for us. Since joining Huda, our child’s Malay has improved significantly, and she has even memorised and practised short daily du’a. The teachers and Ustazah are caring and supportive, creating a nurturing space for growth. It has been wonderful to witness our child blossom from a shy, quiet girl into a chatty and confident one. There was no doubt in wanting to enrol our second child in Huda. We look forward to watching him grow and bloom like his sister, too. We have also had positive experiences with the administrative team. They have always been responsive, helpful, and understanding of our circumstances. We understand that managing diverse requests and expectations can be challenging, and we appreciate their professionalism and efforts. As parents, showing kindness and keeping realistic expectations helps create a more supportive and respectful environment for everyone.

Mixed Experience at Huda Childcare Centre The teachers at Huda Childcare Centre are truly dedicated — their love, patience, and care for the children are heartwarming. My children enjoyed their time with the teaching staff, and we’re grateful for their efforts. However, our experience with the management, principal, and administrative processes has been disappointing. Communication through the parent-teacher platform often ended with “We will get back to you,” but many of our enquiries remained unanswered even after our children left the centre. The school’s safety protocols, fee deductions, and refund processes lack transparency and urgency. Despite multiple follow-ups, outstanding claims and fee refunds were not resolved promptly. It was also frustrating to be chased for payments while deductions and accounting seemed inconsistent. To the Management — please take this seriously. Uphold the Islamic values and vision you promote, and ensure your operations reflect them too. To fellow parents — our advice is to do thorough research before enrolling your child. Join FB groups, read reviews, and speak to current or former parents. While the teaching staff may win your heart, navigating the administration may test your patience. Goodbye, Huda Childcare Centre. We’ll miss the teachers, but not the management experience.

My daughter has been attending Huda Childcare from N1 to K2, and I have never regretted this decision. She has gained valuable knowledge and skills during her time there. I would like to express my gratitude to Teacher Yasmin for her guidance and support in my daughter's school work. ♥️♥️♥️

The very first thing that urge me to put my child in Huda Childcare, is when I watch a video of their K2 students reciting Surah Yassin for their graduation ceremony. And so, Alhamdulillah, my child has been here since infant in Nov 2017 and graduating soon in 2023. Of course, every Childcare centre has its own ups and downs. But I've seen Huda Childcare has improved over the years, especially updates on the child activities via diibear and TS family app, PT sessions, etc. A special thank you to Teacher Yasmin of zone 1 class K2 USA. Among the many teachers, I am very impressed and grateful for her dedication, proactive updates on her students. My child will be missing her much.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does "Huda Childcare" charge per month?

Huda Childcare operates on a monthly recurring fee model, priced at a mid-range level (indicated by $$). To get the precise monthly figure, contact the centre directly, as published rates can vary by the child's age group and programme type. Beyond the monthly fee, families should also ask about a one-off registration fee, a deposit (commonly equivalent to one to two months' fees), and any additional costs for uniforms or group insurance. It is worth noting that childcare fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so no GST should be added to the fees quoted. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →

What subsidies can I claim at "Huda Childcare"?

Singapore citizen children enrolled in licensed childcare centres may be eligible for the Basic Subsidy — up to S$300 per month for childcare. Working mothers who clock at least 56 hours of work per month may additionally qualify for the Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy. Lower-income families may also access the Additional Subsidy, which is income-tested and can bring combined monthly subsidy support to as much as S$710 when paired with the Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy. Permanent resident children are eligible for partial subsidies at a reduced quantum. Subsidy amounts and eligibility criteria are subject to periodic revision, so families are strongly advised to check directly with ECDA at www.ecda.gov.sg for the most current figures and to apply via the Child Development Account portal. Note: Huda Childcare does not currently list an ECDA licence on this profile. Confirm with the centre directly whether it is an ECDA-licensed operator, as subsidy eligibility depends on this status.

Is there a waitlist at "Huda Childcare"?

Demand for playgroup and childcare places in Singapore means that popular centres can fill up several months in advance. As a general rule, families are advised to enquire three to six months before their intended start date, and for infant care places, even earlier — some centres have waitlists extending six to twelve months out. January is the peak intake month for most centres, so if you are targeting a start around the new year, begin your enquiry by mid-year at the latest. Securing a place typically involves paying a registration fee and, in some cases, a deposit to hold the slot. Contact Huda Childcare directly via phone or the enquiry form to ask about current availability for your child's age group and preferred start month.
