About I Can Read

About "I Can Read"

I Can Read is an education provider operating islandwide from its centre at Grantral Complex, MacPherson Road, and is verified by KakiList. It holds a Google rating of 4.9 out of 5 based on 176 reviews, a robust sample that lends meaningful weight to that score. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range tier ($$), though specific session or term fees are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the centre.

Families enquiring about enrolment would typically begin by checking whether the programme is aligned to their child's current school level and syllabus. It is worth asking whether the centre offers group sessions or one-to-one instruction, and whether classes are available in-person at MacPherson or online. Many reading and literacy enrichment providers offer a trial class as an initial step, allowing parents and children to assess teaching style, class pacing, and whether the level is appropriate before committing to a term. You can reach I Can Read via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form — WhatsApp tends to be the fastest route for straightforward questions about scheduling and availability.

To get started, contact I Can Read through WhatsApp or the enquiry form to confirm current class availability for your child's age group and level, and ask about a trial session before committing to a full term.

We’ve had such a wonderful experience at I CAN READ City Square Mall! Teacher Ira and Teacher Alice are amazing, patient, encouraging, and truly dedicated to the children’s learning journey. My child always looks forward to class and comes home excited to share what they’ve learned. A special shoutout to Ms. Chris, the customer service manager, for always being so patient and helpful. She goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly for both parents and children. Highly recommend this centre to any parent looking for a nurturing and effective place for their child to grow in reading and confidence! 📚✨

I CAN Read has really sparked our son interest in phonics. He now tries to read out words on his own and even enjoys doing his homework. What impresses me most is that he can clearly share with us what he learns in school, which shows he’s truly absorbing and understanding the lessons. We’re very happy with his progress with teacher Alice. Chris is very warm and creates a welcoming environment every time we drop off our son, which makes the whole experience even better.

My daughter has been with ICR-CSM since March 2024. Her English has improved tremendously. The teachers kept us update on her performance in class and even the Customer Service - Chris is always on the ball helping us with all sorts of inquiries. Would definitely recommend anyone to ICR-CSM.

Enrolling our daughter in I Can Read City Square branch was one of the best decisions we made for her. My daughter is improving well in her reading skills in just one term! Staff are awesome too!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does "I Can Read" charge per session?

I Can Read lists its pricing at the mid-range tier, but specific per-session, monthly package, or term fees are not publicly displayed. Fees at literacy and reading enrichment centres in Singapore typically vary depending on whether classes are group-based or one-to-one, the duration of each session, and the programme level. It is common for centres to charge a separate materials or assessment fee at enrolment, and some offer sibling discounts or term-bundle rates. A trial class, if available, may be priced separately or waived — confirm this when you enquire. Contact I Can Read directly via WhatsApp or phone for a current fee schedule. See the full tuition centre cost guide for Singapore →

Can I try a class before committing?

Many reading and enrichment centres offer a trial class so that parents and children can assess fit before signing up for a full term. During a trial, it is worth observing whether the session pace suits your child, whether the content aligns with their current reading or literacy level, and whether the teaching style keeps them engaged. Ask the centre whether the trial is charged at the standard session rate or offered at a reduced fee. It is also a good opportunity to ask the teacher about the programme structure, how progress is tracked, and how frequently levels are reviewed. Contact I Can Read directly to find out their current trial class policy.

What are the tutors' credentials at "I Can Read"?

Specific tutor qualifications — such as NIE or MOE teaching backgrounds, relevant degrees, or years of classroom experience — are not listed in the publicly available information for I Can Read. It is advisable to ask the centre directly about the credentials of the teacher assigned to your child's class, including any specialist training in literacy instruction or early reading development. Also worth confirming is whether the programme follows a proprietary methodology or is aligned to MOE syllabus benchmarks, as this affects how well the classes complement what your child is doing in school. Raise these questions before or during the trial class.
