Ilham Childcare is a Singapore childcare and playgroup provider based at Focus One in Ubi, offering services islandwide. The centre is KakiList verified and ACRA registered, providing a baseline of accountability for families researching options. Monthly fees are priced at the mid-range tier ($$).
When enquiring, families should ask about slot availability for their intended start month, as childcare places — particularly for younger age groups — can fill several months in advance. It is worth arranging a centre visit to meet the lead teacher, understand the infant-to-caregiver ratios, and review the daily routine and curriculum approach. Ask specifically about the settling-in period and how the centre supports children transitioning into full-day care. Singapore citizen children may be eligible for Basic Subsidy and Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy through ECDA, so confirm whether Ilham Childcare is registered to process these subsidies on your behalf.
To take the next step, reach out to Ilham Childcare via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to ask about current vacancy for your child's age group and to arrange an in-person visit before committing.
Visit the centre in person, meet the lead teacher, and read the parent contract before signing.

Dear Management, I would like to raise a concern regarding the way I was treated by the administrative staff during the classphoto collection of my kid. I believe the management may need to provide additional training and guidance to ensure that administrators communicate with parents in a more professional and welcoming manner. Unfortunately, my recent experience made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. I already informed my withdrawal on December 2025 through the whatsapp because i am overseas. I got no reply, but later they reply through little lives, and i couldn’t reply because of the system. Then today, i need to take the class photo that we paid already months before, got shocked with the first response I received when entering the school “she’s saying directly on her first welcome sentence that I had not paid the January school fee and that I needed to make the payment immediately. I found her response inappropriate, as my child had already been withdrawn. Moreover, I did not request the return of my one-month deposit, even though it was retained due to the lack of a one-month notice. Additionally, the administrator appeared unwilling to provide the photoclass materials before paying the January school fee (how come i should pay for this) This further added to my frustration. I respectfully suggest that the management monitor and guide how administrators communicate with parents to ensure interactions remain professional, respectful, and supportive. As a parent, I value mutual respect, and I was disappointed by this experience. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope this feedback will be taken constructively. Remember that you named yourself as the islamic preschool, you have to treat people in more islamic manner, tho.
No refund of deposit given after done exit interview at PG level. Bad experience. Teachers did not reply to my messages on Little Family Room. Bad quality teaching then also no 2 way transport provided with no reason given as well. No follow up after the exit interview. I need to enquire to them about my deposit but no refund till today. But I kept seeing their director posting in MET Groups about their childcare. I’ve also met the director once when my child was still in there, kept praising about the school instead. Reply to admin: You can’t find me in the system? My child was in Ilham from 2020 to Jan 2022.
The teachers in Ilham Childcare (East) are great and genuinely care for each child. The staff creates a nurturing and safe environment where kids feel loved and supported. It’s wonderful to see how much our children have grown and thrived thanks to their care - whether academically or emotionally. We’re grateful for all the hard work and dedication the teachers put in - teachers past and present.
Been 3 yrs(2023) i enroll my children at Ilham Childcare(Focus 1) , I was quite hesitant at first about Ilham , but we decided to give it a try since it’s near our area. Alhamdulillah, I’m really happy with the school , the teachers, the education, the meaningful events they organize and how they care for our children. That said, every year comes with a bit of sadness, as some of the best teachers leave. I truly feel it’s a loss because these teachers are such a big part of helping our children bond, grow, and feel secure. Their presence is a real bonus to the school. I hope this is something the team can reflect on and work to improve moving forward. A BIG thank you to Teacher Abby, Teacher Kaylor, Teacher Sarah, and Teacher Balqis , Laoshi, for staying on it means so much to us parents and your hardwork. And to Principal Farah, I wish you all the best. Even in just six months, you’ve shown such positivity not only to the children but also to us parents :’)
We're absolutely delighted with the all-inclusive program at this childcare centre. They welcome children from all backgrounds, and the curriculum, which includes Islamic subjects and a pre-madrasah entry program, is fantastic. A special shoutout to the supportive staff and to every single teacher.. and also to Teacher Sarah for her exceptional kindness and patience. She's always polite and loving, even in tough situations. She goes above and beyond to ensure our child's comfort, safety, and happiness. Teacher Sarah's dedication is the main reason we've chosen to stay here, despite considering another centre closer to home. The positive changes in our child's development under her care are truly remarkable.

Ilham Childcare is priced at the mid-range tier ($$) with a monthly recurring fee structure, which is standard for childcare and playgroup providers in Singapore. Beyond the monthly fee, families should ask about a one-time registration fee, a deposit (typically equivalent to one to two months' fees), as well as any charges for uniforms, insurance, or enrichment add-ons. Childcare fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so the quoted monthly rate should reflect the full amount payable. Contact Ilham Childcare directly for the exact fee schedule for your child's age group, as rates typically vary between infant care, toddler, and kindergarten levels. Singapore citizen children attending a licensed childcare centre may be eligible for the Basic Subsidy — up to S$600 per month for infant care and up to S$300 per month for childcare. Working mothers who are employed for at least 56 hours per month may also qualify for the Additional Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy on top of the Basic Subsidy. For lower-income households, the Additional Subsidy (income-tested) can bring combined support up to approximately S$710 per month. Permanent resident children are eligible for partial subsidies at a lower quantum. Subsidy amounts and eligibility criteria are subject to change, so always refer to the ECDA website for the most current figures. Confirm with Ilham Childcare whether they are an ECDA-registered centre licensed to process subsidy claims on your behalf before enrolment.
Waitlists are common at popular childcare centres in Singapore, particularly for infant care places. Families are generally advised to enquire three to twelve months ahead of their intended start date, with January being the peak intake month when many centres have the highest turnover of places. Securing a spot typically requires payment of a registration fee and deposit to hold the vacancy. Contact Ilham Childcare directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the online form to check current availability for your child's age group and preferred start month. If their Ubi centre is full, ask whether they maintain a waitlist and what the process is for being notified when a place becomes available.
