About IMC Katong
IMC Katong is a paediatric clinic located at 86–88 East Coast Road, serving families across Singapore. It holds a KakiList verification confirming operating details and contact channels, and carries a Google rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 65 reviews, a moderate sample that provides reasonable directional confidence. No regulatory licence details have been supplied to KakiList at this time, so families are advised to confirm the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting paediatrician's Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration directly before booking.
For a first visit, parents typically contact the clinic by phone or through the online enquiry form to confirm appointment availability and the name of the consulting paediatrician. A paediatric consultation will cover the child's developmental history, growth milestones, and vaccination status against the National Childhood Immunisation Programme (NIP) schedule. Investigations such as a blood panel, urinalysis, or throat swab may be ordered at the same visit. Fees at a private paediatric clinic typically run S$120–250 for a first specialist consultation, with additional charges for any investigations, vaccinations, or procedures carried out on the day. Parents with an Integrated Shield Plan should check pre-authorisation requirements before attending, and should bring their child's health booklet and any prior medical reports.
To make an appointment, contact IMC Katong directly by phone or through the enquiry form on their website, and ask to confirm the paediatrician's name, SMC registration, and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence number before the visit.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
My family and I go to IMC Katong because we are very pleased with the excellent service and genuine care that they give to their patients. We like everything in IMC Katong. The clinic is very clean and spacious. The staff are friendly and easy to talk to. Ashwini, the clinic manager, gives quick replies to queries and is very helpful. Most importantly, I feel like I am in good hands with our doctor, Dr Tang. During my consultation with her, she listens to all my concerns and is very thorough in her diagnosis. She gives good and easy to understand explanation to all my questions. I can feel her sincere concern for me and my family. Thank you IMC Katong for the wonderful experience.
Dr Maria has been my GP forma g years, she is extremely supportive, caring and knowledgeable. She takes the time to listen and knows how to communicate without raising unnecessary anxieties. She is a wonderful person and professional
I’m a long time visitor of this clinic due to the convenience of booking a medical appointment. However, a recent experience left a very sour taste. I could not make a same-day appointment online, so I called into the clinic. I was informed that the Katong clinic is fully booked, and asked if I wanted to make an appointment at the Serangoon clinic instead (which is very far for me). I declined as I did not think I could travel that far given my medical condition. The customer service representative was EXTREMELY DISMISSIVE about my condition - which according to her was “just a nosebleed”, and abruptly hung up when I informed her Serangoon was too far. You would expect a higher quality of care or at least more sensitivity from a clinic like this, but instead I got insulted and offended.
I cannot thank Dr Vino and the team at this clinic enough for the exceptional care I received last week after a very traumatic medical issue while in Singapore for business. Dr Vino went above and beyond to ensure I got the care needed as quickly as possible. There aren’t many doctors like her! Thank you!
I was excited when In Singapore to see a place who focuses on “Travel Medicine” I often get B12 shots. And they have them but they are more interested in upselling me. Trying to get me to pay for the doctors time while she runs up the bill. Thankfully I found other clinics who will give me a B12 shot. I have labs but this place isn’t interested in providing health care they are more interested in extracting as much money from my pocket as possible. Don’t rely on this place. A visit here will be an expensive hassle many better health care providers in the area. Who actually do their job.

Private paediatric consultations in Singapore typically run S$120–250 for a first visit and S$80–180 for follow-ups. IMC Katong is listed at a mid-range price band, though exact fees are not published and should be confirmed directly. Beyond the consultation, common add-ons include NIP or travel vaccinations (S$30–80 per dose), blood panels (S$60–200), throat or nasal swabs, and prescriptions. GST applies on private medical services. For any planned investigations, ask for an estimate upfront so there are no surprises at checkout. Parents using an Integrated Shield Plan layered on MediShield Life should confirm whether the visit is claimable under their policy's outpatient rider, and note that MediSave outpatient withdrawals are limited to S$500 per year under the general limit or S$700 under the Chronic Disease Management Programme for eligible conditions. No MOH Healthcare Services Licence details or SMC registration information have been supplied to KakiList for IMC Katong at this time. Before booking, parents should ask the clinic directly for its MOH Healthcare Services Licence number — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory — and confirm the consulting paediatrician's name and SMC registration number on the Singapore Medical Council public register at smc.gov.sg. SMC registration confirms the doctor is legally authorised to practise in Singapore, and specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine appears on the same register. For surgical or subspecialty paediatric work, a fellowship with the Royal College or the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS) is the additional meaningful credential. Both the clinic licence and the named doctor's SMC entry should be confirmed before booking — neither alone is sufficient to establish full regulatory compliance.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover many private specialist consultations and day procedures, subject to your plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider terms. Confirm pre-authorisation with your insurer before any planned investigation or procedure to avoid claim disputes after the fact. MediSave can be used for outpatient paediatric consultations under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for eligible chronic conditions, with a S$700 annual withdrawal limit, or under the general outpatient MediSave limit of S$500 per year. NIP vaccinations for Singapore citizen children are partially subsidised under the national programme and can be accessed at lower cost through polyclinics if cost is a concern. For any planned procedure, request a financial counselling session at the clinic and ask for a written estimate that separates insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding.
